AndSunGorilla:on this note baba, there's nothing anybody can do. On the home front anything dey serve me I chop... Even here nobody knows the best Goal keeper in the league. Do we even have the best 🤔 If the best you can bring from the league is already a 2nd choice in his club, what happens to the first?? Let's just laugh it off and hope on Osimhen/lookman/Nwabali. I love Naija Sha. Best country in the world. |

elyte89:Chelle never land finish and those dragons in glass house wan wear apron to cook broth for us? Reminds me of the Lars Lagerback era. That man was so mumu he didn't even know who to invite. I don't wonder how he got that job. They needed a mumu and he was available. They still never change till now. Irony is if anything sele now, they'll all exonerate themselves and be quiet and allow media to roast Chelle. Anyways more faith in g |

AndSunGorilla:Don't mind him, he should have keep him as his goalie for the chan team I don't know why they always like using super eagles to market players. Same thing they were to Ojo even when he was the second choice goalie he keep getting invitees |

Danielnino00:You understand the business. They use the call ups to market this guys and afterwards they switch to other players. They're not ready to improve the league and make it attractive |

daveP:Actually, the defence department in the squad was too thin and the forwards were in excess. I think Tella's replacement with Jordan Torunigha is the right call. |

semid4lyfe:If this is the conclusion that justifies his actions, then it means the selection process is flawed in the first place. It took an injury to correct that. How many more injuries do we need to finally balance everything? |

daveP:I think we all agree the initial list had k-leg and was externally influenced. If it takes injuries to some selected players for the team to be balanced and get the right shape, so be it. So I view this change as Chelle making his choice & exerting his authority on the squad selection. Furthermore, I'm of the opinion it's unwise to select only 6 defenders in a squad of 23. If a coach deploys a 3-5-2 and plays five defenders. three as central defenders and two as wing-backs like Peseiro did at AFCON, (Ekong, Bassey, Ajayi, Zaidu, Aina), the team will be left with only one defender on the bench, and we all know defenders easily get injured and carded. Conclusively. I believe a squad of 23 should have 3 goalkeepers, 7 defenders, 7 midfielders and 6 forward players. Players versatility to play multiple positions also helps in this regard and that's the reason Uche Chrisantus should have been a shoe-in in this squad cos he can slot seamlessly into the midfield as a CAM and in the forward line as a SS. |

semid4lyfe:That's the issue. You've said it. There was no consideration for players that can play multiple positions. Chai who is this wack selector sef? ![]() |

Is it only me that's happy with the call ups, all the people that will play 180 mins (with the exception of Onyeka) are already invited, the people you guys are arguing is who will replace who on the bench |

Samueltemi337:Lauren in his playing days never played the same position for club & country. Yet was very effective for both Arsenal & Cameroon in the role he was deployed to play. When a player is talented it is not hard to see. Seeing Uche and saying that he's not playing as a midfielder for club is not an excuse, Uche is versatile and it is obvious to see. Our football leaders are too short-sighted and transactional. |

zoboizee:Yeah uche is one of those players who can play I'm multiple positions. He sometimes even plays midfield for his club. By the June friendlies, he will be in the team. It's a matter of time. It's like saying firmino is a forward and can't olay midfield or ronaldinho is a winger. There are many platers who play more than one position.beven kalu uche for nigeria |
