Let's be honest, there's no justification for him getting a call up over Onyeka and Uche.... It's clear that the call up will be used as a marketing strategy... All this clamour for NPFL players in the super Eagles has always and will always be for business purpose.... After 1 or 2 call up, you will find the said player in some obscure league and another player will be called to take his place, and on and on it goes....
The fact that the NFF and a section of our football stakeholders believe that inviting NPFL players to the super Eagles is a way of improving the NPFL shows that they aren't ready to tackle the root causes of the rot in the league

You understand the business. They use the call ups to market this guys and afterwards they switch to other players. They're not ready to improve the league and make it attractive

But why not invite Ozoemena a Chan number one and Enyimba first choice but from my findings again I was told Ozoemena is not even the best in the league.

If it takes injuries to some selected players for the team to be balanced and get the right shape, so be it.

So I view this change as Chelle making his choice & exerting his authority on the squad selection.

Furthermore, I'm of the opinion it's unwise to select only 6 defenders in a squad of 23.

If a coach deploys a 3-5-2 and plays five defenders. three as central defenders and two as wing-backs like Peseiro did at AFCON, (Ekong, Bassey, Ajayi, Zaidu, Aina), the team will be left with only one defender on the bench, and we all know defenders easily get injured and carded.

Conclusively. I believe a squad of 23 should have 3 goalkeepers, 7 defenders, 7 midfielders and 6 forward players.

Lauren in his playing days never played the same position for club & country. Yet was very effective for both Arsenal & Cameroon in the role he was deployed to play. When a player is talented it is not hard to see. Seeing Uche and saying that he's not playing as a midfielder for club is not an excuse, Uche is versatile and it is obvious to see. Our football leaders are too short-sighted and transactional.

Yeah uche is one of those players who can play I'm multiple positions. He sometimes even plays midfield for his club.
By the June friendlies, he will be in the team. It's a matter of time. It's like saying firmino is a forward and can't olay midfield or ronaldinho is a winger. There are many platers who play more than one position.beven kalu uche for nigeria
