A street sweeper working with the Lagos State Waste Management Agency has spoken out against alleged exploitation by her superiors, citing poor earnings and harsh working conditions.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the sweeper, who did not reveal her name, accused her supervisors of shortchanging workers and failing to implement the approved salary structure.

She alleged that despite reports that their salary had been increased to N85,000 since August 2024, sweepers continued to receive N30,000 for months.

According to her, the workers were also left to bear the cost of their work tools without any allowance.

In the economy,a less than 30k per month is slavery for that kind of Job .

Does Anambra and Abia even have sweepers at all in the first place or are you just jealous that Lagos is 2nd best economic city and not Imo or Anambra? Just calm down your nerve, the sweeper is complaining about contractor that employed them and not Lagos state government. She said she learnt that 2nd best economic city is paying N85k, but contractor reducing it to N30k. Is a question on assumption yet, but your jealousy and polluted mind quickly went to abuse Lagos because your own state is not even recognized for economy success yet except in faking drug
