Since Telecommunication networks in Nigeria increased their data tariffs, I have not been able to enjoy the value of my money 5GB of data can't even last a whole day surfing X, Facebook and WhatsApp
I have also noticed they secretly steal or deduct data from their customers, this is so painful coupled with the hardship we go through just to subscribe our phones, how will remote workers cope or people who try to earn online?

4GB data on 9mobile didn't last two days max, no heavy surfing or nothing..
What is going on?
There's no sector growing in this country

This is the be trend. I just discovered that each internet tasks now consumed more data unlike before.

Yeah, I was on MTN always-on 45gb monthly. I switched to airtel everyday plan since MTN delist theirs and I have been on Airtel yet MTN still sends me notification of daily data usage as I had about 9gb unused data at expiration. I am wondering how this is possible when I am not using my MTN line for data on my phone. I switched to Airtel data on the 13/03/2025. This is criminality!

I experimented with this on 2 occasions, between GLO and MTN. 4 phones and 1 TV. TV YouTube/Netflix nonstop, phones 2 YouTube, 2 normal surfing. Total exhausted data on Glo 11GB, MTN 29GB.

Nobody fights for the common man in this country, politicians do what they like, living fat at the expense of citizens. Corporations too in collaboration with same politicians dish out disproportionate levies and charges as they feels like. Nobody for the common man. Data subscription fees is now competing with daily food we eat.

The only provider with data conscience is Glo, but their network might go on vacation for 12 hours.
MTN last longer than Airtel, but airtel is faster..

So whatever app you restrict from using data will not be able to use data even if your data is switched on and you're using the app. I remember a particular time the app disconnected, my phone's background apps used 100inch diameter straw to suck my data for unnecessary update and the likes.

Don’t mind them and MTN was not like this before…since their increment their YouTube night does not work and they deduct from your main data…even when you don’t do as much they will still be removing….report them to the NCC.

It's not about these things you mentioned, I have noticed the way the data vanishes lately. I work on and use Canva on my system everyday. From Airtel to MTN they now steal your data. It wasn't like before.

1) You don't know what you're looking for online: consume and produce. Don't just keep consuming and be a closed system. Take but never give

2) There are some apps in background that uses your data, and surprisingly, most of these apps are the ones you cannot delete just like that
