Two young men k!lled as stray cow runs out of bush and crashes into motorcycle in Ondo

Two young men lost their lives in a tragic incident when a stray cow ran out of the bush and struck them along the Ile-Oluji-Ondo Itanla road in Ondo State.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, when the victims were travelling on a motorcycle, popularly known as a “Lady’s Bike,” while transporting a bag of cocoa from Ile-Oluji to Ondo City.

An eyewitness who spoke to Ondo State Government-owned publication, Hope Newspaper, said that the cow suddenly bolted out of the bush, colliding with the motorcycle, killing the men on the spot.

According to the source, the herder, said to be a Fulani man, fled into the bush alongside his cattle immediately after the tragic event.

It was gathered that passersby hesitated to intervene, fearing possible implications from authorities.

The identities of the deceased victims had yet to be confirmed.

Herdsmen should be banned from roaming freely with cows! These people have caused enough menace in this country! I was saved from a very similar situation. I was speeding along (doing about 120km/hr) the highway when out of the blues, a very large cow suddenly charged out of the bush into my path! Till date, I don't even know how God delivered me from the accident that would have been!

Where are the cows? Ofcos the cowards will deny there were no cows but some Ladipo traders in the state that caused the accident.

Human life is important.
It cost me 10m to get 4 of them to Nigeria, but when human life is involved an animal should be put down immediately.
