I intend to renew my family's passport in London and I also want to get a new passport for my child born here in UK 🇬🇧.

I understand that for the one born in UK, I need to first get a NIN. I will be getting the NIN in Liverpool this week.

Now I have 2 questions.

1. How can I book for biometrics appointment so that all of us will have the same date at Nigeria House in London? Travelling to London from Liverpool is some distance so we all need to do it same day.

2. How long does it take for the passport to be out after biometrics.

Could someone help me please confirm whether I need to submit my expired passport and leave it with the High Commission until I receive my new passport, or if it will be returned to me along with the supporting documents?

I am asking because I have an emergency trip to Nigeria in about two weeks, and I understand that I may be able to travel with my expired passport. I would like to know if the High Commission will return my old passport after the biometric appointment, or if they will keep it. Since there is no guarantee that my new passport will arrive before my travel date, I would like to ensure that I can still travel to Nigeria with the old passport while waiting for the new one. Or do I have to cancel the appointment and rebook when I come back?

I am in the UK, I did my biometrics online but my kids will have to go to London embassy. They were given 5 months wait time for biometrics. Kai

I actually went past the Nigerian High Commission building near Trafalgar square earlier today, while checking out some places around that area.

When you bring the kids, try and squeeze out time to take them to Outernet London that is less than 20mins walk away from the High Commission, it would wow them and it is FREE.😂😂😂
