Tariff and the danger only trump sees
was exactly what I was explaining earlier 2 days ago

It's a national security issues when all our critical manufacturing are done abroad. Like we found out during covid and the supply chain issues that came with it

Boosting manufacturing creates job for Americans and the supply chain that depends on it.

The middle class is getting battered, the democrats response is to blame the rich and eat the rich to bring them down

While there is another option to lift everyone middle class and wealthy UP

You can't have people without a job and still want to push manufacturing abroad

A little more expensive aluminum steel here n there for more job n supply chain security is a good thing.

Ontop of the slave labour, Chinese government gives incentives to many in the manufacturing industries.

I think the US should encourage more manufacturing jobs in the states. They should look into regulations and how they tax these companies making the outsource their product to china.

If you have to amend laws to protect American companies and American manufacturing, I am for it

It's why I disagreed with Romney when he said Obama should have let Detroit auto companies go bankrupt, if Detroit had gone down, will the void be filled by Americans companies or by foreign cars and foreign jobs

Especially private sector jobs that provide value to the economy

You do realize the allure of more profits drives chief executives
China labour is cheap. Their power is cheap. They have a fully developed supply chain systems. They have invested in manufacturing everything they can within their soil . They will build a high speed railway with everything Chinese made from bolts and nuts , save for very few components. They seek to import raw materials, have little regard for IP too.
Their govt also keeps a tight leash on the Yuan always making it favourable to exporters.
Contrast that with a Harvard MBA executive looking to slice costs to a minimum, offshores manufacturing to China. Chinese staff once they understand the production process setup shop across the street selling same product under different but similar name.

I remember seeing products like SQNY to confuse you with SONY,Panaosonic for Panasonic ,Samsang for Samsung ,etc. The Chinese govt doesn't care at all.

That's one reason I prefer America as the superpower. Western nations don't go that route selling deceiving buyers .
Western societies for instance respect the phrase "Let's get ready to rumble!" and will pay royalties whenever they use it. Not the Chinese though.

South Africa ambassador to America has visa revoked and ordered back home.

South African Ambassador Embrahim Rasool told participants in a foreign policy seminar Friday that U.S. President Donald Trump is leading a white supremacist movement in America and around the world.

Rasool ..... in Johannesburg in attempting to explain Trump’s recent foreign policy stances against South Africa’s property expropriation legislation and its alliances with Iran and Hamas, among others.

He said that white supremacism was motivating Trump’s “disrespect” for the “current hegemonic order” of the world, including institutions like the United Nations and the G-20.

He also said that the Make America Great Again movement was a white supremacist response to growing demographic diversity in the United States, and suggested that South African farmers who had presented Afrikaner grievances within the U.S. were part of that global effort.
How do you make such statement in a seminar and expect to be the top liason officer between South Africa and State Dept or WH. SMH.

They know what the west like. Corporate want to maximize profit. I dont entirely blame them. Government cannot have it both ways. You want cheaper goods but make production expensive. You can reduce tax for companies so they can put that money in wages. They create more jobs, the product is a little expensive or remain the same and you control your own supply chain.

Bill Clinton kick start this nonsense we see today. Making China the behimute when it comes to production. They are in the WTO with all the IP theft their government support.

The alternative is to enforce quality products being imported and apply higher tarriffs to compete with local products.
But businesses also eye China 600 million middle class.
China as WTO developing nation has preferential lower tarriffs imposed on them by any WTO member , you rightly called out Bill on that. Yet they are the second largest economy almost out manufacturing the rest of the world combined.

Okay by firing hundreds of thousands of them? This is so interesting to me. When in history have republicans ever been for the middle class? We know that they are the party that props up the billionaires to the detriment of the poor and middle class. Remember Trickle down economics? They cause recessions that enrich the wealthy and further batters the middle class who you thankfully admit are already battered.

You can’t be concerned that the middle class is getting battered and at the same time support a party that takes away their safety nets. Republicans vote against affordable healthcare every single chance they get. They vote against paid parental leave. Other countries who have this have a better work life balance that leads to a more flourishing middle class.

If you look at proposals aimed at helping the middle class, Republicans always vote against it and you defend them via rugged individualism theory. No one owes you anything kinda society. Even this tariff you’re supporting now will not favor the middle class. So are you for or against them?

Just a few pages back in response to the mass layoffs, you said jobs were not a right (or something along those lines). Basically no one is owed a job. I just smh when I read that and chose not respond further. I didn’t realize we had come to that point where American jobs were not promised. I thought that was something each administration used to try and showcase they did well.

Your party wants the committee that overseas Medicaid to cut $800 billion dollars from their budget. There’s no way that won’t affect Medicare/medicaid. More elderly parents are going to have to stay home for their adult kids to care for them instead of being in assisted living. How will they earn middle class income if they have to be home to care for a sick relative?

What you guys are saying and what you vote for do not match. Something is not aligning.

You dont help middle class by expanding entitlements, you help them by providing an environment for private sector jobs to thrive and creating an economy where they can get jobs an feed themselves and their family not depending on govt jobs or benefit forever or taking from others

Yes, No one is owed a job if you are not productive, Manufacturing jobs will create an opportunity for individuals to create value and get paid for it, Instead of railing about taking from rich people

The only thing the democratic party is about is pitting people against others its either rich vs poor, whites vs minority, men vs women. Its never about raising everyone, Its always someone is responsible for your failures

The solution to unemployment is not govt jobs but improving the private sector so the private sector can employ people.

No job is promised, If you don't provide value to your employer. If you employ a nanny, is she owed a job? whether she continues to meet your needs or not

I think for most of those things, they were Presidential decisions.
Presidents have the sole power to do all that and Presidents appoint the CIA director, so should be fully aware of all covert foreign actions.
If they weren't in the loop on those things, that is a big problem.

Shameless FBi started looking for dirt on Trump so they could indict him.
They obtained his govt issued phone plus Pence without seeking a warrant first , then they looked for a warrant to go through then.
Grassely has written a scathing letter demanding answers quickly.

They wasted thousands of dollars subpoenaing and interviewing anyone so they could build a case
The FBI and DOJ criminal actions exposure is moving too slow for my liking . I don't want to get mad because I might be forced to do the same thing I did when Trump was indicted .

The Greenlanders favour independence but want to do it slowly over many years or decades and that's because they are too small a population to pay for what it takes to maintain that vast land and they need Denmarks money to do so

In addition they are not strong enough to withstand the threats of being located so close to the arctic and asserting their rights over their economic zone, and neither is Denmark. Russia and China are already bullying them in those waters

So they can't vote to join USA just like that. It's in two stages. First they vote to declare independence from Denmark, then they later vote to join Yankee

As to their slow pace of uncoupling from Denmark, Yankee should speed it up by offering each Citizen $1m to $2m dollars each as well as cutting out clear land for each of them and their descendants on Greenland. Make Yankee no too reason am and just provide the money. I get a feeling Yankee is trying to do things the cheap and disgusting way by threatening annexation instead of making an offer. They should put proposal on the table

Meanwhile you need to go and find Greenland wife while you are still unmarried so you can benefit from the bonanza

Denmark life no they improve greenlanders life. They need to explore their resources. China is eyeing them as well.

Greenland is in North America closer to the US than Denmark. I think they would gave more from US in life style and every other aspect than Denmark. They are well interested in Trumps idea.

Wanna talk about biased media? Look at how they’re behaving under trump’s rule. Afraid to highlight any truths that put him in a negative light so that he doesn’t have mantrum and go after them. That’s fascism my friends

A New Hampshire man with a green card was detained by immigration officers at Logan Airport and is being held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at the Donald W. Wyatt detention facility in Central Falls, Rhode Island.

Fabian Schmidt’s family said they are unsure of why he is being held. They said he has a recently renewed green card, and no active issues in court.

Schmidt had been visiting Luxembourg and flew back to the U.S. on Friday. His partner had gone to pick him up at Logan Airport, and waited four hours before calling authorities.

“It was just said that his green card was flagged,” said Astrid Senior, his mother. She said she didn’t hear from her son directly until Tuesday, when she learned he’d been hospitalized.

Senior described Schmidt being “violently interrogated” at Logan Airport for hours, and being stripped naked, put in a cold shower by two officials, and being put back onto a chair.

She said Schmidt told her immigration agents pressured him to give up his green card. She said he was placed on a mat in a bright room with other people at the airport, with little food or water, suffered sleep deprivation, and was denied access to his medication for anxiety and depression.

“He hardly got anything to drink. And then he wasn’t feeling very well and he collapsed,” said Senior.

He was transported by ambulance to Mass General Hospital. He didn’t know it at the time, but he also had influenza.

On Tuesday, Schmidt was transported to the regional headquarters for ICE in Burlington, Massachusetts, and then transferred to the Wyatt facility. The family, including his partner, who is a cardiologist in Nashua, have acquired attorneys and been working with the German consulate in hopes to have him released on bail.

Schmidt and his mother moved to the U.S. in 2007, and received green cards in 2008. He moved from California to New Hampshire in 2022.

Senior described her son as a hardworking electrical engineer with a partner and 8-year-old daughter who are both U.S. citizens.

For months the university of Pennsylvania made all their female swimmers change twice a day every day next to a fully intact 6’4 male Lia/Will Thomas who made it very plain was still attracted to females. This was inhuman & obscene coercion of those young women, who were traumatised by this, they are now suing their university.

Sue them for every humiliation.

British prime minister is scrapping NHS England.
Exactly the same way council scrapped nurses from working in nursing and care home. They saved billions yearly cos they pay those nurses for doing nothing. Absolutely nothing.
We fully support that.
Unless you are not in the medical field, I have never seen anybody who hate the idea
Nobody except wicked souls will be protesting. Those benefiting anyway.

Those workers do nothing except sit in the office with their bogus package eating deep out of tax payers money. If NHS can do it,why not America or is it because it's Trump?
