I have a business that will keep me in Lagos for 18 months, so I decided to secure accommodation before relocating—I hate being stranded. Knowing that rent on the island is quite high, I focused my search on Main land . Omo, the cheapest room and parlor apartment I found was ₦1.2M, with a total package of ₦1.6M. Another agent even quoted ₦2M as the total package for the same type of apartment. I’d love to get some insight into how much you all are paying to see if these agents are overpricing or trying to rip me off. Also, if you have any advice on renting in Lagos for a JJC like me, please share. Thanks 🙏 3 Likes |

concho:All I will say is; welcome to lagos!!! My rent in my 2bd room apartment has been as follows: 950k - 2020 1.25m - 2022 1.5m - 2024 2m - 2025 Maybe by nxt year, my rent will be 3m   Everytime I get pissed and want to get another apartment... the fear of new exorbitant rent plus the unreasonable agency fee makes me to stay put. 9 Likes |

Life is very simple, it all depends on your income, if what you want to do in Lagos for that 18 months can't give you reasonable profits at the end of the day, I will advise you to abort the mission entirely. 2 Likes |

Well, try some low brow areas where u can get room and parlour self con for less than 500k sha ... na low brow area o ... and no POP ... Na all those POP, terazzo or all walls tiled dem dey take chop u ... Rent for low brow area and enjoy peace of mind ... Funny thing is, all those 2 million area, some associated bills might still show up that you won't ever envisage and the agents won't tell u so consider your options carefully .... To me, staying in low brow area is a great way to save money ... rather than dashing away your hard earned money to these agents concho: 1 Like |
