Your number 3 - It isn't usually the farmers but the community heads who go into such deals without the farmer's knowledge or consent. I've worked within such communities and seen the carnage such deals has have caused.

There's one tragic event that occurred in one of the states in the North East zone.

One Pastor ( a relatively young man with a young family) in one of the popular churches there was called on phone that herders and cattle have invaded his farmland and that period was harvest period November - December, 2024.

He quickly rushed there with his bike while carrying a passenger, on his way he was involved in a ghastly accident with a truck.

He was rushed to the hospital in coma, and gave up the ghost after a week in intensive care unit.

See the carnage that these guys are causing, they don't want to give up this their outdated nomadic practice of rearing cattle. The practice is highly wasteful. The cattle consumes 20 times more food than the cattle reared in a ranch! And they will still not be fat, always lean produce less meat and less milk 😡

It just like an athlete, no matter the food they consume, they look lean. But immediately after retirement they balloon, explode in size due to less activity, the rigorous intense activity is no longer there.
