Stella Obasanjo, the late First Lady of Nigeria and wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, was a trailblazer known for her impactful contributions to the nation. Her death in 2005 shocked many, as initial reports stated she died of a heart attack, but it was later revealed to be due to complications from a cosmetic surgery procedure. Thief Obasanjo has lost 2 wives to death in mysterious circumstances.
The first one that was believed to have been estranged from him was said to have been killed by armed robbers in approx 1986.
The second one is Stella and we know the story told about her death.
Personally I don't believe either accounts.
Obasanjo has executed many people both publicly and privately, this I am sure about.

The least she and her husband could have done was to provide portable water for her village.
Guess that was too much for her to do

But she was a philanthropist though so I wonder why these basics were lacking in her community.

Re: Remembering Stella Obasanjo Nigeria's Most Famous First Lady by Physicist(m): 6:10pm On Mar 16, 2025
Maryam Babangida was the most famous first Lady. It was rumored that Mrs Folorosunso Alakija got oil block because of her. It was also rumored that IBB gave an oil block to her doctor (physician). There was a project by her -Better Life for Rural Women- which was very popular during IBB regime. It was rumored that Asaba was made the capital of Delta State because of her. Maryam Babangida was the most famous and most flamboyant among the wives of former Nigeria past leaders. I think, Nigerians started using First Lady during IBB regime.
