the report is fake, there is no way to access how much prostitution generate in Lagos most of these ladies involved do it secretly let alone knowing how much was spent on protection and skin care, the only data they can get which would be close to accurate is the average cost of commercial sex

[ Because all taxes (direct and indirect) have data sets and transactional records for estimation.
What data set and transactional records gave them that figure?
Going by the model used here, I would say the establishments used by the girls for their business probably charge them a fee based on the amounts paid them by their clients and in turn pay taxes even on those fees. Would you like to investigate this for us? undecided

Firstly, “runs girl” which simply means “prostitute” without sugar coating is not a legal Identity in the country. So, no establishment with be legally founded for that course which directly rendered the your statement on “establishment used by ….” Invalid.

Saying “on entertainment or recreation “ would have been a better tittle. But for that title, it’s not possible to estimated the amount and I strongly believe it was intentionally used as a click bait.

By establishments, I mean hotels, motels and the lot where many of these gals frequent in order to find and maybe even serve clients. undecided

That's above the entire budget of Ogun and Osun states combined

Chei
And billion miles ahead the budget of the entire 5 landlocked area of the south east.
If they collapse the whole 5 states together,10 successive generations of governors can never reach such budget

Some of these runs girls are much richer than the men they depend on. You will see a stupid old man with his shinning bald head fooling himself because of a full time prostitute. Very irritating dirty randy old fools.
Hahahaha 😂🤣🤣🤣

I know it is a lucrative business, what I am saying is there is no way to know the exact amount it generates, let alone how much of it is spent on hair and skin care.

simple maths.

The reason they need to taxed.
Dotherightthing:
Wow

But I just did a quick calculation.

The figure is not much.

Let's assume 1 million men in Lagos were into hook up girls

NGN661bn/1000000 comes to NGN661,000 per man for 2024

NGN661,000/365 days comes to N1,810 per day per man.

And the hook up girls gets only 50% as pay - NGN900

Poor!

Eriokanmi:
They invested in hell grin. Ask those millionaires of yesterday, driving company directors who are old enough to be their children today. Some are gatemen in lagos today. I spotted one recently who used to be a director at Standard Breweries in Ibadan in the 90s, the Breweries belonging to Bode Akindele known for the popular Club Beer in that era. He was such a young and promising production manager and the only black man in the group. Standard Breweries shut down operations and he joined another company where he was promoted a director in lagos.

All these happened in the 90s. He always carried women in his Peugeot 504 GL brand new car. Today, he's a gateman at banana island. Even the gateman s job was sourced for him by his old friend who's a multi billionaire today.

When we say run away from lust for women, e get why.

The average pay for ST in Lekki is 50k, TDB goes for 80-100k

And you think the multi-billionaire friend does not spend on women as well? Every wealthy man spends on women in one form or the other. It is financial mismanagement and lack of consistent cash flow. Maybe he had too many children as well.

36k is cheap. You not seen 100- 200k.
That's why you see girls with no source of income leaving in1.5m apartments, using latest gadget, wearing wogs of 200k etc. It's a booming bizness and that why you see university babes living high life's and even working class doing coded runs.
Hush! You are screaming.

the lucrativeness is not in doubt, what i doubt is the figure being quoted, it could even be more than that, there is absolutely no way to get the exact figure spent on prostitution, we can only guess.
