That miss was not inconsequential, we needed just 3 points to qualify from the group.

Match ended in a draw.
If he had scored into that open goal, who knows... We would have gone ahead to get the much needed 3 points.

You people should stop rewriting history abeg undecided

I will never forgive Yakubu for that miss... Attempting to rewrite the story only make us remember buried hurts... Nor dey do am sad
it was inconsequential. The Koreans were on top throughout the game. They were even leading us up till the 69 minute when yakubu equalized for us. The emotions of the match is still blurring your memory of the game. We could have also committed more men forward during that match that would have opened us to more goals from the Koreans if he had scored that chance.

baba I don become old man so I no dey use sentiment and emotions predict football games anymore most especially super eagles games

Imagine a whole super eagles struggling in a group that hv Benin,SA,Zimbabwe and Rwanda and una dey expect magic in this stage of the qualifiers? It’s dicey bro

I’m not saying it’s impossible for super eagles to qualify but to be honest it will be very difficult bro and will be a hell of a feat/achievement if it pans out as we hope
Afcon is my focus, the wcq for me na jara on top. The zeal and commitment of the players is always my main issue why I manage my expectations with the eagles. On a normal day those teams are no match but the way some of our players Dey count leg when they play in the GWG na im Dey make things Dey too dicey. Anyway wish the team all the best and will keep supporting them no matter the outcome in few days.

SA are all bark and little bite..

Their AFCON form can't fool me... One way or the other, they will bottle it.

Our problem right from the start of the qualifiers was our inability to score goals.... We were supposed to whitewash Lesotho in the first half...supposed to beat Zimbabwe...even against Benin, we took an early lead but fumbled....
Chelle needs to work out a way for our attack to function, especially when Osimhen isn't available

just watch how they will underrate Lesotho and those ones will show them flames🤣🤣….some people go they trust SA🤣🤣…….u see that Man Gernort Rohr, if Nigeria is not qualifying, Rohr is in a better position to qualify than SA…if Rohr go beat Zimbabwe on Thursday, forget it SA will jogodo when they meet rohr…shey SA we cape verde wan kill for afcon, if not for poor penalties from cape verde….
The first leg SA 2-1 Ben was a very very close game

omo against Lesotho we were so wasteful so so so wasteful…even against Zimbabwe golden opportunity we had that ref gave us freekick inside box 18 wey aribo see net troway goal…we were just unlucky against theses guys….against SA immediately chukwueze came in second half, that last strike after beating defenders one on one only for him to hit the upright….we were so lucky jare couple with
-the Uzoho masterclass goal keeping 🤣
-finidi trying to form oliseh to change the team pattern.
we were not clinical at all…we dominated those guys

That Lesotho game still annoys me till now... It was a very easy game in the first half.... Boniface, Lookman and Awoniyi were just missing chances...they looked unserious...

Well, I hope they realise that the stakes are high now

qualifying from this group will be a tall order if he re been honest to ourselves judging by the teams position

It’s not about winning all our matches but teams like SA and Benin are they ready to lose especially SA?

I will only start believing if we can beat SA in their home turf and they lose 1 or draw 2 matches to any of the opponents in the group
Imagine, SA are PSL players. If they are so good they should be playing in Europe. Our boys re killing it in the big leagues. Imagine PSL players stopping us from the Mundial. Even Ndah the captain of one of the biggest team there can't even shine Basseys shoes. 😃😜

If everything go as planned in my head after these 2 matches...
The table should be like this👇
SA (win, draw)- 11 pts
Rwanda (lose, draw)- 8 pts
Benin (lose, draw)- 8pts
Lesotho (lose, draw)- 6 pts
Zimbabwe ( win, lose)- 5 pts
Nigeria (win, win🌝)- 9pts

Realistically this is what the table would look like

Then if we can beat SA at-home ( very possible), we will top the group with 1 pts and close on the gap

Me and my delusion anyways 🌝😂
IT SHALL COME TO PASS

Even if SA is coached by Guadiola and Mourinho combined, I will never be worried about them, especially when playing against them in their home ground.

They play in PSL, our boys play in the top 5 leagues. Ours Olisa Ndah who is one of the best in their league can't even make SE team. So why is trashing them so difficult. Can someone explain it for me. Or does it mean that playing in Europe doesn't mean that one is better. Make it make sense for me.

Pls answer this, with our top players in Europe why did we failed to beat Lesotho and Zimbabwe......yes Olisa Ndah a top defender in PSL is not making our team but Stanley Nwabali in PSL is our first choice

its their country, its expected and shouldn’t be a surprise that they will start their training before us…there is a video that circulated online where the first 6players that arrived on sunday night started light fitness training with coaches…
camp opened on sunday, you expect the whole 23players to land that very sunday night in an away soil? mind you as at yesterday monday 21players already in camp…Training will definitely start today

I mean if Olisa Ndah was born in Europe like Bassey, he might equally be playing for an EPL team at least. That's what I say he might (debatable) be better at reading games and less eratic as compared to Bassey, who is more bullish and physical like the classical defenders of the 90s. Ndah captains Pirates will all due respect. But I know it will be hard for any player playing for a team like Pirates or the other two big teams in SA to thirst for European football. They are quite ok at the level.
Wishful thinking 🤔 if he was any good he would not be in SA.

Updates from Kigali

Experienced Rwandan defender, Fitina OMBOLENGA (first choice right back) and his brother, Yunussu NSHIMIYIMANA (both of APR FC) have withdrawn from the team's camp following the loss of their father who passed on yesterday. Omobolenga started the two matches in the AFCON qualification series against Nigeria and went unbeaten

Condolences to the duo.
