I stole my mom meat from the pot while everybody was sleeping and the cover fell on the ground. The pot was inside a cupboard with a key, i took the key from her wallet and went straight to the kitchen to do the do. Before i could arrange the pot and locked the cupboard, all the eyes was on me. I received the highest beating and still went to my school to report to our headmaster. The news was all over the place for some months.

That's not naughty naa, I've broken like 5 people's head each time trying to kill lizard. Not to talk of countless roofs I've hit with stone trying to aim a bird or pluck mangoes. These are normal routine play.


Now let's talk about something a bit naughty. When I was in ss1, we (together with my wicked friends) went to a farm close to the school one evening. There is a plant we call "obuli" don't know how it's called in English, some say it's devil bean. The seeds scratches like hell.

Can't even remember what we were discussing that particular day that made us angry with our classmates so we decided to pepper them. We carefully plucked some beans and dusted on every chair in the classroom. Then decide not to go to school the following day. The tales we got out of that incident was not funny. Both students and teachers cried back home, some rolling on the floor and others scraping their skins with razor.

Thank God nobody knew to this day that we were the ones responsible. They thought the wind brought the disaster.


There is also this river men use to go and take their bath. It's a deep river so people enjoy swimming. I went there in one occasion and saw all the men in the water swimming. They didn't notice me, so I crawled and took their clothes. All of them. Hid the clothes in the nearby bush and ran back home. I didn't border to ask what happened after then.

We have also gone to hunt rabbits, about five of us. Four of us are mates, the other was elderly, we don't like him much because he cheats us each time we kill. This particular day, one of us was digging, and he put his hand inside the hole, he touched something different, we knew it because he looked at us with one dimmed eye. We understood the sign and retreated a bit. The elderly came and took the cutlass from him and shoved him aside threatening and cursing as removes the soil to enable him peep what's inside the hole. At that moment we have all retreated a distant from him. As he stoop to look, something spat directly into his eyes, he jumped and cried out to us that it was a cobra. Only to realise we are at the main road already.

We heard him shouting, asking us to come and lead him out he can't see. But we didn't go back for him. Some other guys heard him and came to his rescue.

There are many other terrible things I have done.

Playing with lizards; I remember once seeing two lizards on a roof, I stood at a higher elevation at an upstairs looking down at them.
I decided to feed them some dead cockroaches lying around, so I started tossing them one by one unto the lizards on the roof, I was about 3 tosses in when I noticed one lizard bullying the other and eating all the roaches alone, so I felt like punishing it.
Spraying the 4th cockroach with a lot of insecticide, I tossed it on the roof but it was so soaked with the poisonous liquid that it landed closer to the bullied lizard who rushed it immediately, next thing was the lizard acted utterly mad like it had swallowed fire, running maniacally in circles before jumping off the roof. The Bully lizard I was targeting just ran away.
Even as an adult I still feel bad about it, so I leave out cockroaches I had killed by stomping for them to eat as atonement.

I was very quiet while growing up, so everyone assumed I was innocent in many situations.

I remember one incident when my parents gave birth to our last boy in 2006, I was fond of eating all the baby foods, but my parents suspected all my brothers except me.



It got to a point that I started reserving Nan and other baby food in nylons and keep in my school bag.




My mom did not see it as a big deal, but my dad was always complaining about how fast the food finishes.




Although, I rarely do wrong, but when I did I got away because of my quiet nature and innocent face.

Looking back I feel so sorry, my dad was going through some hard times, but I was there filling myself with baby food, worst is I even battered our baby food in nylons with my class mates for baba dudu.




I am not angry that I over ate the baby foods, but I traded a nylon of baby foods with 1 naira baba dudu. I did not know value of things then, imagine trading peak milk for 1 "eat and clap" biscuit or Kahn drops sweets.



May God bless all fathers who go through hell to provide for their family yet their children do not see the sweat. Then, I thought my dad was super rich and money was easy until I became an adult.




Because I thought it was easy for you, I was reckless with your money.


I was the only girl of 5 children
I even sold full scalf sheets from my higher education note book during my secondary school exams to myself, and collected money from him for each leave, sometimes I think he knew what I was doing but chose to play ignorant to make me have my way with him.
