Fubara should immediately approach the Supreme court for interpretation of the relevant sections pertaining to the state of emergency under the Nigerian constitution. That would serve as a solid precedent. It's surprising Fayose and Dariye need did. The president has no powers to suspend or remove an elected Governor one who was elected as himself. Britishpea:Omo, declare ur state of emergence, removing a governor with military is terrible and should never ever be supported. The reason is simple. It means a president can look at a region, see that he may lose some states due to the governors there, use police and soliders to create problem in those states and declare state of emmergency and remove all the governors. This means that a president who doesnt like a governor can remove him. Omo, this is wack, pathetic and stupdi form of democracy. We want states to be independent like in the US so we can grow, yet we are centralizing everything in Abuja. Damn, them swear for black man. Even if it was done in the past, must we repeat it? I learnt that Tinubu condemned it when it was done by OBJ. Why is he doing same thing that he condemned? Omo, them swear for this country. No wonder it has never ever solved any single problem, not even electricity. |
