The last times this present dispensation of super eagles defeated stubborn african sides at home in last 4years

S/Leone 2-3 Nigeria (very stubborn west afrcan country)

G/Bissau 0-1 Nigeria (Giant silencers)

Ben 0-1 Nigeria (Grade B quality west african team)

C/Verde 1-2 Nigeria (Always a tough nut to crack)

Common Super eagles lets go teach these Rwandans a lesson

All these teams have one style when they play us: park the bus..... Until we figure out a way to beat teams that park the bus, it's gonna be a long ride for us in this qualifier..... .
I would like to see Simon start on Friday...he should wipe in some of those crosses for Osimhen... Aina and Bruno too.....

Point of correction, Abdullahi was never a hot player, wasn't better than Ebuehi and Aina of then, was just an everyday average player. Hassan is not doing better than Uche or Onyeka, neither is he in a better league. For Sadiq he has something going for him, whenever it's close to a qualifier he start scoring for his club and he's in a good club and a good league, so even if you don't like his playing style, you can't fault his invitation.
Oya continue Inviting only Ola Aina na, so that he will keep playing every match, its even funny how you are comparing Ola Aina’s and Shehu as regarding when both players started playing for super eagles, are they mates in super eagles?
…when Shehu was playing, shey Aina don agree to switch to super eagles no b England baba still dey play for?…as for Ebuehi his career was hugely disturbed with injury, and you can’t leave out a certain Shehu that was having a regular game time in Turkey…besides they both(Ebuehi/Shehu)were in the 2018 world cup squad meaning they were our active players then…my earlier post you quoted did not tell you that shehu was hotter than anyone, i only said a time when shehu was hot(playing competitively for Bursaspor of Turkey means he was fit and playing good number of games)

Hassan is not doing better than onyeka, and because he is not in a better league okay sir we hear you sir coach…..but im sure you still dont wanna see Boniface’s name on that list, i know say you follow frown at Boniface invite despite him playing in a better league….as far the DM is concerned Hassan is one of super eagles proven players….im not also happy Onyeka was not invited, but im not vexed Hassan was invited

your last point, “oga i dont need to fault Sadiq invitation because i dont like his playing style… as many here love to see Okoye im super eagles,im 1 person that do not love his goalkeeping style and confidence in super eagles, that doesn’t mean i should start hugging transformer if they invite him(he is also a super eagles player of this dispensation)

its always difficult beating teams that park the bus though anywhere in the world
Barca, Bayern, Argentina Portugal have all tasted this sour football from opponents, so these kinda of opponents tight defenses will always need their defense to be opened by a solo brilliant effort of one of the team member…thats why everyone need to keep fighting from the blast of the whistle
- i remember Argentina sweating to unlock Iran defense till die mins before the solo effort Messi could find a winning goal in 2014 WC

- i remember Nigeria sweating hard to unlock Tanzania, until a brilliant solo effort from Iheanacho came and open them

even Portugal vs Morocco, Ronaldo sweat tire nothing came out

At the bolded, you said we need creative players that can score impossible goals from any angle.
One of the few players who can do that in the Super Eagles is Sadiq Umar.
He has all these impossible goals in his locker.
I know a lot of people here dont rate him but every player has his strengths.
Creativity and technicality is one of his strengths.
Another creative magical player is Chidera Ejuke.
Samuel Chukwueze is also capable of magic but he is not consistent.

Simon plays his best on the left wing
Lookman should partner Osimhen up front
Simon should play from the left
Iwobi from the right
Ndidi and Onyedika in midfield

I hope Eric Chelle and his assistants are working on set pieces. We get an average of 16.5 set pieces per game ( corners and free kicks combined) we have not converted any in our last 5 matches.

as we we are working on set pieces let us also strive hard to defend set pieces…only south africa score us in the run of play..others use set pieces to shut us up
Nig 1-1 Lesotho (lesotho scored via corner kick uzoho was the keeper)

Zim 1-1 Nigeria (Zim scored via free kick, uzoho was the keeper)

Ben 2-1 Nigeria (Ben scored the winning goal via corner kick, Nwabali was the keeper)
our defenders need to watchout for set pieces…cos it is what is keeping us in the 5th position till today

Our most urgent problem now is how to make sure our strikers score the goals. We need to create a system that will fit every striker whether osimhen or Boniface. It's quite annoying that we can't seem to score despite producing high volume of chances. Iheanacho being the only striker to score during this WCQ after 4 matches is a really bad look on our team and it's not as if chances were really hard to come by in these matches.

Firstly, Hassan with just 6games for SE is a proven Dm that cannot be dropped but Onyeka 26games,Onyedika 12games,Ndidi 62games are not proven DM and can be dropped for Hassan with just 6games for Nigeria and less than 5games for his club this season.
Talking about Shehu, I've no issues with his invitation but keeping Ebuehi and Aina on the bench for him is where I've issues. Rohr insisting on playing him almost cost us a world cup place. And yes Aina and Shehu was member of the SE almost same time, Shehu only started ahead from the Chan Eagles.

Uche
Sadiq
Hassan
Dessers
Onyeka
Onuachu are all doing fine in their respective leagues, they are all still super eagles player, wether them invite them or not
Sadiq gan gan is the quota. He does not deserve by any stretch to be in the team. Dessers is far superior to him as per their numbers this season.

Folks on this thread ain't gonna change. So coz the Northerners in the squad don't deserve the call up?!

LOL!
Sadiq does not. We can stretch it however we want but he does not deserve to be called. The fact that he's consistently getting invites means he's got a godfather or he's the quota candidate.

When I say that list has quota, I'm not being flippant and I rarely indulge in such sentimental talk. Go and watch Eagles tracker video on YouTube where Layi Smith speaking about the list, said that a top official of NFF told him that they have to 'balance' things. Not that that was what made me say it's quota list, but it reinforced my belief.

shehu started playing for super eagles as far back as 2014, she has played and became an integral part of super eagles as a senior man before Aina came, una too like blind arguement…person that was regularly playing 2015 Afcon qualifiers, and also featuring in 2017 afcon qualifiers, also featured in 2016 Olympics….oga shehu senior Aina wella in the super eagles mix, which time Aina start dey open eyes to join super eagles…all these period Aina was still busy playing for England Age grade teams…leave all this yeye argument..after you will start saying beer parlor analysis yen yen..shehu was playing well for us before Aina came,so you expect Aina to walk into the team and Bench him abi?….And by the way why do u say Ebuehi is better than shehu, checking their career statistics who did better? Shehu a defensive player having a total of 10 career goals to Ebuehi having just 4career goals…Prove to us that Ebuehi is better than shehu, becos shehu is northerner abi and Ebuehi is a foreign breed?

Chelle can win all the remaining matches only if he does one thing:

Leave Boniface out of the squad!

Boniface is so lackluster when it comes to the National assignment. Always feeling himself and after self-glory.

If all our players can borrow a leaf from Osimhen's determination, we can beat any team.

Watch Osimhen, Simon, Ekong, and even Bassey; these guys are just too committed when playing for the National team. Same can't be said for most of our players.

I trust Chelle will get us the World Cup Ticket.
"The one who does not run, who does not hustle for the ball will not play"

Iheanacho has been dropped. Maybe the next person will be Boniface and Sadiq. The ball is in their court.
