EseFUF:You need to convince the VO that the ties that you have in your home country are enough to bring you back, ties can include your job, your extended families, your assets and other associations and clubs you belong to. |

Predator188:Are you now into student recruitment? Because some of your arguments are based on sentiment rather than fact. With the current projected figures, more than half of temporary residents in Canada will not get PR—take it or leave it. Please look at the data yourself and see how many students will be without PR this year, still with no option. Do you think everyone can manage arranged employment, which is not even cheap? I would not advise people to fall for the PGWP offer for 4-year BSc courses that fall into management programs, which are not cheap. You will struggle to find work, even for those who finish earlier and are looking for arranged employment to gain the work experience needed for PR. Please educate people to focus on the Express Entry route to get PR instead of rushing into the expensive student route. We can see that many students are facing difficulties paying those huge fees and are uncertain about the pathway to PR. I know HND/ND students who arrived via Express Entry as PRs from Nigeria, and some older individuals who learned French and got ITA with a lower CRS score. So, why the rush to enter a college or university in Canada, which the majority cannot even afford. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 5:37am On Mar 18, 2025 |
funkyy598:If all of us were eligible to get PR from outside Canada, we will all go through that route but it is not even so now, the fact is when you have come through student route, at least you have one leg in and then you start looking at the options to get PR. I do not think Predator is into student recruitment, based on his postings here. What we owe each other is to state the fact that PR is not guaranteed, easy life is not guaranteed so before anyone comes please know what you might come to face. On the bright side once you get in your chances of changing your life is higher than in Nigeria. |

Bobomaigida:You have summarized it well, especially regarding financing your education and having a solid plan ahead for PR. This includes how you fill out your student application, as the foreign experience you mention in your student visa application will be difficult to amend when you most need it for your PR application. Therefore, finance and planning are critical in this journey, and never assume anything. Always conduct detailed research, as many students are facing a lot of challenges from poor decisions and advice.l wish everybody all the best |

funkyy598:Into students recruitment where did you got that info from lol ..Educate people to use Express entry,do you thought that every individual that enter Canada via study route has previous post secondary education or previous work experience to succeed in express entry or is express entry easiest pathway for Canadian PR,Now that the new prime minister of canada based on his immigration plan to include Higher language proficiency requirements for skilled workers in regulated professions if that happens it can even knock some candidates off in express entry...later you'll say I don't have facts use Google... ![]() Give me the percentage of individuals getting PR via Express Entry outside canada now that they are concentrating more on in canada Temporary residents.

Good morning Everyone, Please can anyone recommend any easy and affordable university in Canada whose admission application Portal is still open. I want to study masters or post graduate program in Nursing, Public health or Health management. I have a bachelor's degree in Nursing from Cyprus. Thanks in advance |

Predator188:People like you are misleading many into taking the student route and getting stranded or option for asylum . L know student in Canada with huge debt because people like you make it seem easy to get PR through the study route, which is a total falsehood. Many students are stranded now, or in huge debt, running a second program or option for asylum. After graduating, it's even difficult to get work in the required profession to gain experience. Some have to pay for jobs they've never done just to accumulate the experience required for Express Entry nomination. A shorter and less expensive path, such as learning French or taking a short course like a diploma in IT to gain a second certificate, could be a better option to relocate via express entry . We know all the difficulties students face in Canada, but you're here making baseless fantasy claims. Meanwhile, many people are landing PR through the French route, even a 40-year-old man with zero travel experience received an invitation in the last French draw, while their mates in school in Canada are still struggling to raise money for school fees at a time when getting work is extremely difficult in canada. Let's always share the truth. Even the government's projected numbers show that the majority inside will struggle for PR. |

How do you apply for Express Entry when most of the score are in Canadian Working experience, Canadian education and your English test will also give you additional marks in these areas? It means you technically are at disadvantage if you don't have access to Canada to get education and work experience. I know so many people in the EE pool for several years that didn't get ITA but once they took the bold step to get a study in Canada and get a job (which itself is not easy), they got ITA after getting into Canada to get the education and work experience advantage. So EE favour's 80% of the people living in Canada and ONLY 20% of people living outside Canada. Though am not saying it's not possible from outside but u need to work in top organizations like MTN for many years, have good IT skills and apply in a less competitive Canadian province that needs your work experience. All these criteria are even higher now with lower reduction rate to PR if you are applying from outside. Only French folks stand a slightly better chance applying from outside Canada uchennay: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 4:51pm On Mar 19, 2025 |
uchennay:Uche, the poster did not post any misleading information, what he has stated is the fact on ground, which is to use EE from outside Canada, you will need to have French proficiency which alot of people do not have, if you decide to learn it, it might take up to 6 months to get a mastery if you have a knack for languages. Which leaves the Study route as the most available one for us though it is now expensive and has many restrictions. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Jeboy(m): 4:56pm On Mar 19, 2025 |
Absolutely. My guy summarized and nailed the point. Uche can also give us stats of how many people he knows that have gotten EE from Nigeria. My secondary class mate was head of IT Payment dept in a FinTech with his many years in IT and Masters degrees, French saved him to get QC nomination. He had to study for a year. Not many of us can pass through that mental stress. If I hear Ques Qes Ces like this, I don japaa lolz Bobomaigida: |

Hello house, Can you recommend universities for MSC in Management? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Prestige65: 6:53am On Mar 20, 2025 |
I'm applying for a Ontario Graduate Certificate program at Conestoga College. The program is hybrid, some parts are in person and some online, and is pgwp eligible. Will be that a problem with the Visa Officer. Thank you |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by uchennay: 6:58am On Mar 20, 2025 |
Jeboy:When people arrive and finish one course with debt and struggle, with permanent residency uncertain, and then face a second course with no money and the need to work but no work , they will redefine mental stress. Ask students whose asylum applications have been rejected after dropping out of school due to a lack of funds. Some students have already entered bankruptcy, even while on student status, due to credit card debt. When people land in Canada, they will understand the real definition of mental stress, because it's easy to stay outside and argue. |

Prestige65:As long as you get PAL from the program and can apply for a visa, it won't matter |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Viewoliver: 11:26am On Mar 20, 2025 |
Is it actually true that one's chances of visa approval is high as long as you get PAL? Considering the cap on international students and issuance of PAL by the province, I would say the chances of one's visa approval is high if the study permit application is well packaged. Because with the PAL, it means the province has a space for you to come and study. Please I need the opinion of the gurus in the house on this. Thank you! Zihno: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Kaykaychizzy: 11:49am On Mar 20, 2025 |
Viewoliver:Without a valid PAL or no PAL, your application will be withdrawn by IRCC after a few days or weeks when it gets to your turn. My application was withdrawn automatically after 2 weeks of submission by IRCC because I uploaded a PAL from last year that expired in January 21st 2025. I reapplied immediately with the new PAL I received. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Zihno: 12:05pm On Mar 20, 2025 |
Viewoliver:PAL has no effect on visa approval. I was only referring to the mode of delivery. If an hybrid program grants PAL, then IRCC won't focus on the mode of delivery. |

Zihno:Yes I'm yet to get any new message from them but hopefully this week or nextweek I will receive the good news. I don't know if she has gotten a response with regards to her application. |
