One of the few players who can do that in the Super Eagles is Sadiq Umar.
He has all these impossible goals in his locker.
I know a lot of people here dont rate him but every player has his strengths.

Another creative magical player is Chidera Ejuke.
Samuel Chukwueze is also capable of magic but he is not consistent.

See if I'm the coach of the SE, I will never call up strikers like Onuachu or Sadiq. From your body build, I will disqualify you. If I chose tall strikers your body shape would be like that of Osimhen or Rashidi - strong and quick with good balance. Once you have clumsiness, you are disqualified.

In short not just strikers, all my players. I think Westerhof used some kind of physical metric to chose his players.

I must however say that Papilo was an exceptional freak of nature. He was just too slick, too skillful. I will make room for that kind of player any day, anytime

But then Sadiq and Onuachu are not Kanu.

I still carry one eye dey look Boniface cos he's a bit clumsy somewhat too.

Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle had his first training session with the team yesterday ahead of the world cup 2026 qualifiers game against Rwanda on Friday
Chelle who was appointed in February made his ideas and game plans known to the players during a close door session that had 22 of the 23 invited players taking part. Only Alhassan Yusuf who arrived this morning from the USA missed it.




Speaking on the methods of the coach, Malian journalist Eric Camara said fans of the Super Eagles should expect a system that encourages high pressing, quick transition in counter attack situation and also patient build up against low block teams.



” I can tell you what the session looked like. Patient buildup when you are up against teams that sit back and quick transition football against teams that are high up in your area. He loves to also see his players press high up to recover possession”, he explained.

” You can’t say he is a defensive coach even though he likes his team to play with three center backs. He also isn’t a slave to one particular system of play so he also encourages playing with a flat back four in a 4-3-3 formation”, he concluded.

Point out where I attacked Yusuf. I loudly criticized Aribo's inclusion even though on a personal level I like Aribo.

Which kind form Sadiq is in that is better than Dessers? Which kind form? Abeg oo. I don't consider Sadiq to be SE material. Shikena

Northern inclusion in super eagles always spark annoying reactions amongst fans…most people just hate to see those Hausa boys donning the eagles jersey whether they are playing well in their club or not😀…

You have said so many things I never said, first you brought Boniface into the discussion and I chose not to comment on it cos it wasn't part of the discussion. Now you are bringing up being a northerner. Yes Shehu started from the Chan eagles in 2014 and and got in the main SE team around 2015,2016. For Aina, he switch to Nigeria 2017, so what's the big difference between 2015 to 2017 that Shehu became a senior man. Shehu that was like a school son to Musa throughout his time with the team.
