VISA alert !!! Applied for nertherland visa through the French embassy. Submitted 21/02/2025 at Lagos TLS Received a mail for collection today (17/03/25). This is actually the longest time I’ll wait for a response 😡 Was given 90 days multiple entry eventhough I asked for 14 days single entry. I applied for Nertherland and don’t intend to go to France, but nothing on the visa indicates that it’s a nertherland visa. I hope it wont count against me subsequently if I don’t get stamped in in France.🤔 |

Enokela34:Is this your 1st Schengen? If yes, probably the reason. More scrutiny I guess |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Milito: 8:12pm On Mar 19, 2025 |
cucumbar:That took quite a while. Is this your first Schengen as well? Is the visa code starting with FRA? |

Hi, I got a Netherlands visa last year through the French Consulate. I went to Amsterdam with it, no issues at all. In Nigeria, France issues visas on behalf of Netherlands. Under remarks you should see R/NL. This implies France issued on behalf of Netherlands. Enjoy your trip! cucumbar: |

Ikebabay:there’s no remark anywhere .Nothing on the visa indicates Netherlands 🤔. I sure will. Thank you. |

Hello house, Pls I intend to visit France and some other Schengen countries in July. I am a first timer, pls what are my chances of being given a multiple entry visa? Most first timers around me were given single entry visas.. Do I write in my application that I intend to visit multiple countries? will that help my case? I have valid UK, US and Canada visas, does this help my chances of getting a multi entry visa on first trial? Awaiting views and responses. Thanks house |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by cucumbar: 11:10am On Mar 20, 2025 |
MsAnonymous:You don’t need a multiple entry visa if you are visiting these countries on a single trip. You will only need multiple entry visa if intend to leave the shenghen zone and come back again with the same visa . |

Good day all, thank you all for the good work you are doing. Please I want to know if Tax clearance or pension is compulsory for tourist visa application. I'm self-employed and I own my law firm. |

iamDozzy:Congratulations. I'm sure there would have been a possibility of you getting a longer duration if you submitted an insurance policy with a longer validity period...given your current and past visas. Please put this into consideration next time. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by cucumbar: 11:40am On Mar 21, 2025 |
Chimzy09:not necessarily true. I submitted a 14 days insurance, requested for 14 days but was granted 90 days multiple entry. More likely because it is his first shengen visa . |

Insurance doesnt matter. we all know, track records do. cucumbar: |

Not necessarily, my last 2 applications, my travel insurance was for 7 days only and I was given one Yr. Also my daughter was given one Yr as a first timer though she applied with me also with 7 days travel insurance . I didn't get a one Yr till after my 3rd schengen visa. quote author=Chimzy09 post=134642495] Congratulations. babstanley:It's not compulsory, but can add credibility to your documents especially since you are self-employed. I once had a refusal with UK, and one of the points was that they doubt I'm employed where I claimed I'm working. On my next application, which was successful, I added my tax clearance which shows the name of my employer including my pension certificate, which also shows name of same employer. |
