The last time Rwanda played us and won was from their only 2 shots for the whole game which were fortunately for them (unfortunately for us) on target. We obviously relaxed our oars, Egu also made some bad tactical calls like not responding to the 3 changes Rwanda made before they hit 2 goals in 4 mins. One of their 3 subs even bagged an assist.

Anyway, the point is Rwanda used 2 counter attack moments to stun our lackadaisical defending the last time but I don't see such rubbish happening again with a lot at stake here.
Nothing was at stake then.

Rwanda will defend like they did even when they beat us.

See the way Ukraine dogwalked Belgium? If Dessers was available, they'd snap him up in a heartbeat

Have Rwanda had to face Osimhen for 90mins?? They will do so today.

In the last game in Uyo, Osimhen only came on for the last 13mins.
In Rwanda, he came in at halftime and still created 2 fine chances. Rwanda's Ntwali was in insane form that day, was also helped by the post and the refs were drunk to deny Lookman's clean header.

the game may play out like that high tensed 2-3 we played against sierra leone…i feel it will be an end to end duel…plenty goals fit dey this game, cos i just finished watching an extended highlights of the last one we played at amahoro, omo dey came out and play us too oo…though most of their strikes/attacks were not threatening compared to super eagles back to back close range attempt

Yeah I thought about that too but I started seeing reports that he like a 3 man midfield. I wouldn't mind 4-4-2 because Iwobi can easily drop into the the midfield

Match fixing !

They will play but they will be cautious. Just like the 1st half of the last encounter in Rwanda. They were hitting shots from distance because they couldn't penetrate our defensive shape. They took lot of rushed shots and only had 1 on target in that first half as against our own 3. They had 8 shots but only 1 on target.


Enter second half and Boniface was taken off for Osimhen... Rwanda were on the backfoot even more.

They recorded only 2 shots for the whole second half, 1 on target.... while we had 6 on target and 2 off target. THEY ESCAPED.
