Now Osimhen is in form, cancel any form of injury. The guy is ready, single-handedly to give us the ticket to world cup.

Ahead ahead is the name of the game

An underrated asset
Lookman was still chasing at this point.

My HT assessment
Ndid has no business starting anymore. He can't hold the ball and he has been the culprit of wrong passes. He should be removed for Onyedika do handle his position or Yusuf to help break down the Rwandans passes.

Iwobi hasn't done well as the playmaker, that's why the SE hasn't seen much of the ball in the MF. Whenever he moves backward to receive a pass, he just doesn't know how to spread it or gives killer passes or hold on play. Onyedika needs to takeover that position from him, he should continue in a new position.

Chukwueze, nothing to write home about that one, even the SE players doesn't trust him to use his wing...he has been a minus 1

I will advise Chelle to switch to a 4-3-3 formation with Yusuf, Onyedika and Iwobi as the midfielders and Lookman, Osimhen and Simon as the attackers.

Our defence has been okay thus far

Finally, Osimhen finishing has fvcking improved.

COOL10:
We've been losing the midfield battle. Our passes aren't connecting well. The RMF (Chukwueze) and LMF(Moses) look confused. The entire gameplay is very slow. It's a miracle that we're 2:0 up, honestly.
The intensity is truly low and sluggish. Could it be the weather or something else?

Honestly, I'm not comfortable with this formation, the last 15 minutes was abysmal.

I hope we maintain this lead till the final whistle.

End of First half.

Nigeria 2
Rwanda 0

I am seeing a new attribute and playing style that I can only attribute to Eric Chelle.

What is it?

A high press and man-marking style in the opponents half which closed passing lanes and is making it difficult for Rwanda to play out from the back.

This is how Mali played under him.

I like it, I really like it.

Just a game, and the coach has stamped his imprint on the team.

Chelle go cook with this team.

Our MF is non existing
Ndidi has declined in form a lot
Alex is still lost doesn't know what to do in the MF
Aina is a world class
This is Rwanda and it should be a walk over but football has developed over many years
Eric should look into that MF very well, we need a change

Good so far but game management will be key in this match

My brother. I no see pattern oo. Dem say na diamond, dem say na midfield to attack. I sha know we are two goals up. I sha know say I no see Ndidi, I no see Chukwueze.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by daveP(m): 6:06pm On Mar 21, 2025
We need a faster leg and big lungs to hack the triangle passes of the Rwandans. So far we are still trailing on how to stop it. They're so good at it and i hope it doesn't give them a chance to ruin clean sheet for Nwabali.

Rwanda, when not using these traingles, are relying on long accurate balls to their wingers. Can Chelle do something to stop that this 2nd half. Ndidi needs to come off.

I imagine what Onyeka would have done by now. Iwobi would just be using top vision knowing Onyeka is behind him. Chuks no sabi run into box to use a touch or two from aerial passes like before.

For this match, make pattern and formation go rest, we just need the win either by bp or by convulsion
