We need to beat Zimbabwe and hope SA and Benin play a draw.. if that happens, we will move 2nd on the log and will be back in the driving seat to secure qualification.....

Joezinho:
Chukwueze have never proven to be a Starter for Super Eagles.

Wonder how he always frauds his way into the starting XI.
Because he is the only left footed attacker in the SE.
If Noni Madueke or Karim Adeyemi had opted to play for Nigeria, there is no way they won't bench Chukwueze in this team. Even Ethan Nwaneri will bench him

Baba is being played out of position. When iwobi was performing below par out of position we didn't hear quota system.
Let's stop this rubbish
chief in the modern soccer game you got to be at least good at multiple positions on the pitch.

As it stands now

South Africa - 10pts
Benin- 8pts
Rwanda- 7pts
Nigeria - 6pts
Lesotho- 5pts
Zimbabwe- 3pts

Next games
Rwanda v Lesotho
Nigeria v Zimbabwe
Benin v Nigeria
4 points between us and SA is too much, I need it to drop to 2 or 1
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by daveP(m): 7:11pm On Mar 21, 2025
Benin and Rwanda will want to win badly

Benin win means they get 11points
Rwanda win means they get 10points
Nigerian win means 9points

This makes it 11, 10, 10, 9 after Tuesday game. SA must not win. Rwanda also.

If Nigeria and Lesotho win we get 9 and 8 and rwanda drops.

Best result is a Benin SA draw. Nigeria goes 2nd straight by GD. And 2 points behind SA.

Either way, Benin must Win or Draw to give us the advantage while we win ours. But Rwanda winning will be a thorn

I'm not giving Chelleckukwu any flowers today, apart from Osimhen's otherworldly goal instinct I didn't see any cohesion behind him, there was a huge hole in midfield and the players didn't understand what they were supposed to do, we stabilized the game in the second half with the substitutions though,C+

Na cross and nod mentality dey make this tall guys get spot. And na Nff mendem get that POV. We've had 4 tall guys and none so far have gotten a solid spot in last 3 to 5 years.

It's time to bin the tall requirement as top priority. It doesn't work in Super Eagles

walai without osimhen today’s match is another draw match…..so many breakout ball Arokodare will see and he will just slow down, Osimhen would have pressed for a sprint…we need to lookout for a striker that can “pressure-sprint” at defences….
Lookman on the other hand holds on to the ball for a bit longer in a “pressure-sprint” situations…he delays to release pass to the next available on running striker

Attitude probably. It's been 10 games and the attitude of Osimhen and Lookman continues to stand out in attack. If we can have just 2 more of such, it would be beast mode.

I'll say the tactics today was out overall. It didn't click.

Exactly my point

But they said he played only 15mins

Let's give him benefit of doubt. He may yet come good

Good game Chelle..
Did what was required.. won the game, got the 3 points and gave us a glimmer of hope..
Hopefully we win our next match and things can get even more interesting..

Big ups to our monster machine, big game mentality!!
Weldone to all players and great to have the clean sheet..

We finally broke the Rwanda Hoodoo..
Now they will respect us..

Up Super Eagles!!!

This Rwanda that I just watched can't win their remaining games. Either they win Lesotho or not, to me I'm not bothered. SA should not win against Benin, that's the Koko

Please I have a question

How many countries are qualifying from each group or the WC?

He looks like he's got the stuff
Would like to see him again
I've seen him score good goals in the BPL

We just need any outcome that will make us closer to the 1st spot on the table. SA win means 13 which is a no no. You're right. Lesotho may give Rwanda problems sha.

If we win our next two games. The decider will be the crunching game versus South Africa in South Africa. I be leave we can beat SA on their own turf

even if we win our next game our position is not gonna change much. we just have to keep grinding to the end. South Africa will try hard to keep winning. if we stay 3 points within reach of them we could finally knick it

South Africa is our major threat to this qualification. Lesotho and Zimbabwe will play all their home matches in South Africa, even when they play against SA. I think 🤔 this unfair advantage. I hope they will choose Zambia or any neighbouring countries . I hope our NFF will complain

If not for Peseiro and Finidi, what would we be looking for in the position we are now? Imagine they played 4 games , drew 3 and lost one, they won none. Ordinarily these teams, Rwanda, Lesotho and Zimbabwe are supposed to be beating home and away and that's what will happen with this new coach and the spirit he has brought to the team. There is no way SA can beat Benin away, I'm very sure. I won't even be surprised if Benin beats them

Nig vs Zim(9ja to win) 9pts
Rwa v Les(Rwa played us the kind of football that can beat an average Lesotho team, so i see them winning) 10pts
Ben v SA(this game, gernot will hugely prove a point, to draw this match, they are yet to lose a game on that stadium in this qualifiers so i will predict a draw)
SA 11
Rwa 10
Nig 9
Ben 9
Les 5
Zim 3

september fixtures(MD 7)
Nig vs Rwa
Les vs SA
Ben vs Zim

MD 8
SA v Nig(this where we might end up winning or drawing SA)
Zim v Rwa
Ben v Les
