Theres no point being surprised... Even if you are coaching your street team and such situation, that is the right call... Remove your Main guy and calm the game out. 🤷
Why are some people now singling out Tolu as if he had an opportunity to score and he missed it?

except if it as the coach’s instructions for Tolu slow the the tempo, then no p, but Chelle should learn from his Afcon mistake oo, you dont score hungry teams 1-2 and 2-0 and slow down tempo ooo…some will keep fighting oo, i need to see another radical striker in the shape of Osimhen ooo…like we so so so so need it meehn..i hope Tolu can hustle like him too…beat teams well well, show them say them too small

Finidi was panicky. I watched his interview on Arisetv before our first match. That was where I began to be afraid. The shoe was too big for him.

walai without osimhen today’s match is another draw match…..so many breakout ball Arokodare will see and he will just slow down, Osimhen would have pressed for a sprint…we need to lookout for a striker that can “pressure-sprint” at defences….
Lookman on the other hand holds on to the ball for a bit longer in a “pressure-sprint” situations…he delays to release pass to the next available on running striker
That's cos he wants to shoot and go for goals most times
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 8:13pm On Mar 21, 2025
No excuses for Tolu because I'm quite familiar with his style. He always plays with his back to the goal. He never takes on defenders or breath down on goalkeepers while with the ball. What he showed today is his typical game style, and I will reiterate, he had no reason running away from the goal with the ball in that position as a striker. He was supposed to take on those defenders to force a save from the goalkeeper or play his man on.

Chelle made sub that stabilized our midfield and we started playing the calm 1/2 passes in middle looking for a through pass….Omo even as we dey lead 2-0 once person came and said Chelle was not the man for the Job🤣🤣….kai i shook my head…tifiakwa for some people in this nairaland….shey no b the same Rwanda generations of super eagles have been sweating to beat chelle dispatch like this?….Under Eguavoen shey osimhen no play against Rwanda last year?…….this coach came and gave us a beastly super eagles that swept aside a stubborn amavubi, you come here come dey say its a sheer brilliance of osimhen, and that its not chelle’s tinkering
The coach has done well, this was a difficult game and it’s never easy winning your first game as eagles coach especially a crucial away game like this and he won convincingly which is a good omen. Once he wins again on Tuesday he may just be on his way to the top.

It was a difficult game to manage especially knowing how sloppy our players can be. Took charge of the game and players at the same time. That’s not easy for a new coach in his first game. Anybody criticising the coach today no well o and don’t understand how difficult that game was.

This was my take after watching him thoroughly and studying his game last year, and that was exactly what he also showed today. Dude is not daring as a striker.

When someone tells you they prefer doing the action in the ring than putting a fan-fare for the media, that threat should be taken serious.
Eric Chelle is a man that lived up to his own words.

Chelle did well with his subs today. Onyedika is classy.

Chrisantus Uche would have been great in this match too if he was called up.

We need to win by 4 goals margin against Zimbabwe
Seems like Goal Difference may count at the very end, look at our table grin
Thé race is between Benin, South Africa & Nigeria

There's no point in breaking out alone by Tolu Arokodare and lose the ball when we are 0-2 up and easing the game out....

Y'all only see negative part, what about the positive part. What about the 3 good long balls he won, with his height. I counted 3... He is not sluggish or slow but he put body for ball and fight...

Infact I'm highly impressed with Tolu Arokodare today... More impressive than Boniface has ever been in Eagles.

Also, this is is Debut...

Mehn, y'all forget about Dessers. He is not in the team for a reason..
I been think say na another Arokodare I watch o... Man impressed me today.

Like I said before, Osimhen was 6 years old when the Super Eagles last scored in Rwanda, and them no win o 😂

Who observed that since the emergence of lookman , chukueze confidence been low . What could have happened. We need all our players highly esteemed and ready to win

Who observed that we don't have a right winger yet. Moses simon can't play there while we pray for chukwueze to rediscover himself.
