About the tactical aspect, Chelle showed really fine promise in the first game. He is tactically sound but it is the next game that will help me assess him even better. Zimbabwe is an interesting opponent. Time will tell. elyte89: |

Eric Chelle executed different formations while in charge of Mali like 442 (flat), 442 (diamond), 4231, 4312, 433.... but his preferred formation across his time as manager so far seems to be 4-3-1-2 which can switch to 442 flat or diamond. Yesterday, we saw him switch from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 and so on. 'Shows his tactical formation flexibility. Time will reveal more. |

Sugarboyy:I don't like it when players are played out of position. It compromises the player's game. Like Ola Aina didn't play his best game today. Ola should play on the right abeg. Bruno on the left. |

Eric Chelle just had two training sessions with this team for the first time. He was able to impress on the team the pressing game causing the Rwandans to make mistakes. The set piece coach deserves praise. It will only get better from here. |

TheSuperNerd:wish Yekini was alive to witness his goal scoring beast replica…. watching highlights of our 90-98 super eagles then we must agree that Yekini and Osimhen possess similar striking aura 1. rugged sprinting to score a looping cheeky goal Rwa vs Nig (Osimhen second goal) Nig vs Gabon (Yekini second goal) 2. charging/wrestling a defender to win a ball Cam vs Nig (Osimhen wrestling a defender to make an assist to lookman at the afcon) Nig vs Zaire(Yekini second goal charge at the defender that led to a penalty goal) 3. long leg instinct 4. Talking or charging boisterously with hand command and face gesture after scoring a goal or after a missed attempt as though you were the team leader or captain This is what we need in a super eagles striker… -boniface -awoniyi -Tolu -Dessers -Sadiq -Onuachu -Moffi -Orban all these guys need to study the above points. we also enjoyed some part of these striking aura with the likes of -Obafemi Martins(sprinting striker) -Odion Ighalo(bullish striker) -Emmanuel Emenike(Bullish striker) -Ikechukwu Uche(sprinting striker) -Julius Aghahowa(long leg/sprinting striker) abeg abeg abeg, super eagles dont need strikers that turns his back at opponets keepers… CHARGE THAT DEFENSE!! BULLY THAT DEFENDER!! SPRINT PASS THAT DEFENSE!! and see the way 9ja fans will love you |

Personally, I wasn't even watching out for Chelle's tactics in his first match but his man management skills. I wanted to see if he would be able to psyche the players up back to a winning as it was obvious the players are low on morale and seems to have lost their winning mentality. I think Chelle excelled in this aspect. |
