Hydronium:please I am confused about something, since you can use it while charging, what will happen to your power station when you forget to remove the charger from socket when the power station is currently in use? I.e the power station supply the electricity to the socket that is charging the ecoflow. Will it spoil it immediately?? |
| Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by Emoreni(m): 4:55pm On Mar 22, 2025 |
nurez305:This is for those using solar panel to charge it. You can't be using nepa to charge the D2 and be using the D2 to power the house at the same time. |

Emoreni:Oh great, it mean it can not be charge with electricity while in used?? Am I correct? |

nurez305:Yes, better to get the panel. |

nurez305:I think I understand what you meant. It will blink like something that wants to faint...and not good...which means it can spoil it if you are not careful. I think what you are trying to say is if you are charging the Ecoflow via solar, and you forgot to remove the AC charger from the socket, and when you put it on to power the house, it is expected for the Ecoflow to charge itself from the power it provides, right? No, it will almost switch itself off and be blinking like that, like a transformer wey get issue. I hope I am right in your question. |

Do you want to blow the house and turn it into fireworks? While will you want to use it when grid light is available? Except it is not connected to the mains, but not all Ecoflow allow pass-through. nurez305: |

twosquare:You almost got what I was asking. I plan to buy the Delta 2 before the end of the month to take advantage of the Jumia Tech Week promo. However, I won’t be able to use solar panels with it because there's no space for them where I live. So, my plan is to use the grid to charge it whenever there is power. The reason I asked this question is that I don't want to waste money hiring an electrician to install another changeover switch for the power station. Instead, I want to use the one for my generator to power the entire house. That way, once I switch over to the power station, all the sockets and lights in the house will automatically be powered by it. My concern is whether forgetting to unplug the charger before switching over would harm the power station. I believe that could create a power loop and cause damage. What I’m now considering is installing a separate socket that only works with the grid to avoid this mistake. However, that would still require an electrician, which I was trying to avoid. |

nurez305:If you read through this thread, especially my posts from December, you will see my setup. Let me reiterate, yes you can use the one for generator to power the entire house. That is what I use too. The power station is also a generator of some kind. Now, about forgetting to unplug, yes, it has happened to me twice. I didn't off the socket it was plugged in to charge via NEPA, and when I ON it to power the house, the light came on and then blink like something that wanted to die...I was like what's going on, immediately I saw that it was the socket I didn't turn off. So I switched it off and the power stayed on. Not good so as not to spoil the device. That's it. Click the quote below to see the pictures of what I wrote then: twosquare: |

BigDickProblems:@fuckboys I later found out through Josh’s help that what was affecting my comtroller was the terminal connection. You can see from this image that it was burnt here. This prevented my controller from charging my battery correctly. The day I noticed it, I had to tighten it, and it’s been working fantastic ever since and no issues. I guess I’ll upgrade to a higher one from his end when I get the money. Cos he is always available to help. And if any issue pops up, I’m returning it, at least that what he said. I wasn't just sure if the issues I was facing then was the controller or battery, but at least, now I know.

twosquare:This is exactly what I was asking about. No matter how careful one is, the accident is bound to happen someday. I thought that if that happened, it would instantly damage the inverter. It's good to know that nothing happened to your EcoFlow when it happened to you. I also think having a separate socket that only works with the grid to charge the device is a good idea to prevent such accidents. Thank you for your reply👍 |

Please am confused, I just got the delta 2 1024 whr . I charge it full to 100%. The I plug my phone which take 6W but the hours seems incorrect after calculating. It shows 92hours but according to what have been seen you take your output watts and divide it by the WHR. Should be 1000whr divide by 6watts that am consuming which is about 166 . So it should be showing 166hours remaining and not 92hours. Is my math correct? Or is there something am missing ? Did thesame with my 20w fan too and it shows 33hours remaining and eco flow is 100% . Shouldn’t it be 1024 divided by 20W which is about 51. Should be 51hours remaining and not 33hours it shows |

twosquare:But why should that be a problem if we are using the generator line for it just like generator. When using generator we can switch to PHCN even while generator is ON and nothing happens. I think the delta 2 power should stop at the change over place after moving the switch to PHCN and shouldn’t cause any loop. I don’t know if you get me It will just be charging and the power it supply won’t go into the house but stop at change over because the switch has disconnect it |

Necksonnel:I don't know about this, and I won't even dare... what we were saying is while the changeover is in the generator mode and you still have the ecoflow plugged into a wall socket via the charger, then you power the whole house. The power it supplies the whole house will come back to it thereby causing a loop. And it will go epileptic. |

twosquare:The way mine was connected It allows me to use it both ways, its connected to the mains I can use it even when there is light (when charging it to power the while house) or wen there is no light All I need to do is just flip a switch Usually while using it to power the house , light comes occasionally I just switch to Nepa and allow it to rest. |

nurez305:Safer to install a separate socket That way u don't need to run heketa seketas, when Nepa bring light |

Pv panel finally came in. 555W Jinko. I can now see why many people prefer smaller panels, particularly in tall buildings. Thing is as heavy as lead. Getting it up a roof can be a serious hassle. Also I realised that the previous one I ordered from Alaba was polycrystalline, and was not up to the slated 550w. It was a rip-off that couldn't have been more than 400W. Those ppl are crooks. Now I'm wondering whether to still run it in parallel with the 555w or just stick to the 555w alone...

Hydronium:Stick to this alone bro If U had asked , I'd have advised you do a higher watts panel like 600+ to get the best out of it... All the best |

Thanks guys for this wonderful thread. Not done reading but learned a lot so far. This post by twosquare really cleared my doubts about certain things but one question I still have is about the socket inlet type. The generator adapter I’m used to and actually have is the type attached here in. Not quite sure what type of socket the EcoFlow River 2 Pro comes with by default or if it is different from the standard, is there some sort of converter? Please, any clarification on this would be appreciated. Thanks again twosquare:

3ncrypt3d:It comes with the kind of socket in your house, definitely not the generator adapter, look at the pictures of the UK version of River2pro, the device comes exactly as the picture shows, like the socket on your extension 👍 |

Hydronium:A "rip off" cannot be trusted, that means everything written on the spec sheet shouldn't be believed to be true, use the jinko you have and be happy. |
| Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by okooloyun1(m): 2:12pm On Mar 23, 2025 |
Hydronium:The 555w alone is enough. I'm yet to put mine on the roof of my building, I just rest it on the wall at the back of my room and it charges my D2 from 20 something percent to 100% within 3 hours depending on the sunlight. |
