Person wey get 9 saves for that our 0–0 draw for AFCON Qualifiers?

Man's too good.

It will Nigeria 12 years long term plan to track & develop u13 year olds, 200 footballers in number to win the World Cup
That is only 10% will get into the final World Cup list grin
We are just gonna participate without proper planning to win it
Only 8 countries have won it since inception

At this rate, It is really up to Chelle to find a 2nd striker that will play regular games and allow Osimhen sit them out. No meed to invite him. He's proven himself. The search for a 2nd reliable striker starts now. We can't even beat chest and say oya o, see this guy, he can deputize Osimhen and no need for fear. All the ones currently available, if they start then for 90mins, Ademola Lookman will outshine them.

Then there's this brewing issue with the wing.

If winger dey NPFL or English Championship abeg make they get chance. Chuks is offffff. Offers no threat. Abi he wan dey go the Sterling route ni?
this is my fear with having an all-timer in your squad, their replacement/backup always look very bad, when we had Okocha in the team his backups/replacements always looked really bad, the drop off is always too evident

The leadership qualities of the last 4 foreign borns in the Super Eagles are not utilized in administrative capacities. By now, they should have some level of function in NFF. But here we are. Imagine Osaze and Balogun working in any capacity for Nigerian football by now. But here we are. I dunno.
please leave Osaze to continue enjoying his golf, he’s a very disruptive person. I see him as a lesser version of Oliseh

The consistency of Alex Iwobi. 83 caps and captain band never near am? Vice at least. Guy has come a long way in that midfield. He met maestros there, they left. He became a force. Then he had his dip period and is still here. Acrosss Rohr, Peseiro and now Chelle, he's a starter. 10goals though. That shooting just the issue.

Newbies are on the block and they still can give what he's got.

I pray dem Ebenezer, Eletu, Daga and co come through sha. I do pray
Iwobi’s availability is his biggest asset, never injured and very reliable

Don't be shocked that someone somewhere might want them both to "bow out honorably" with World Cup attendance to their names again.

@TheSuperNerd. Is Iwobi's 83rd cap official or it's 82?

I'm seeing 82 on Wikipedia and 83 here, so I can't tell if it's not been updated or if that's correct.

Una go just dey criticize player. Chukwueze played to instructions yesterday. He was more effective off the ball than on the ball. He was drifting from his wing to help out in the middle, his dribbling was limited yesterday so as not lose the ball and put Osayi Samuel under pressure.
Which Instructions? Sotey they comot am shapali?

So it is instructions that made Osimhen go back to help defend his LB while same Chuks was busy strolling in Rwanda half? It is instructions that made Iwobi to cross to his zone and be pressing players while he watched like say na him be Linesman?

He was terrible off the ball. Everyone pressed yesterday except him. He will do everything that will jeopardize the attack lately. He will take on 3 shirts like Sterling and lose the ball and refuse to rush to recover that very ball he just lost. At least Sterling dey pass back nowadays.

Chuks needs to up his game. Simon Moses was on this table until criticism and analysis got through and he kept things simple and cool and he had a sweet Afcon for that. Since 2019.... what's the Chuks influence that stuck to memory and he did it again? E reach him na "play to instructions" be excuse?? Habaaa.

He really needs to get back up. He may assist once once, but that overall game needs an upgrade and most especially, some competition.

Iwobi deserves plaudits.
I recall his game vs Zambia that year. Omo, Brown Ideye regen is needed abeg. That guy was selfless and a team player that year under Rohr until...

Iwobi deserve to get 20goals before he hangs the boots. I hope he gets on scoring for Super Eagles again. It will be a bigger way to bow out.

83 caps, damn. Almost 100.

Definitely he will set new record. Wow.

Modified.

Really, just checked Wikipedia now. Iwobi is number 7 on the top ten list for 9ja. Just 5 matches kpere below the great Muda Lawal (only African player to go 5 consecutive Afcon 76-84) and kanu on 86 caps.

Although I'm seeing 81 caps on Wikipedia for Iwobi.. (himself follow play the Togo match? )
By December he should be closer to 100 than to 90. I want the goals to flow too. Will Chelle allow him? This role Peseiro gave though. I hope Chelle have more advanced ideas for him like Rohr?

I dunno if it is lack of tactical setup though. Cos if someone like Loew or Renard is our manager, he'll find replacements and setup to their strengths when the main guy is unavailable or down. We need to scout gaaan. I believe Chelle is on it sha.
