I heard Chelle bars journalists and fans from Super Eagles training. Our national team is the only team I know that allows clowns and jesters with cameras into the camp.. Everyone will be asking nonsense questions and players will be answering like mumu.. Boniface have created a million contents in camp, 0 goals.. |

BankyGee:The other strikers need to fight for striker number 2 & 3 spot Awoniyi needs to fight his way back into Forests starting line up by September or else he may not make World Cup or AFCON winning list Moffi needs to recover ASAP , he’s technically gifted. He makes it look natural like he went to football academy in England or Spain Sadiq needs to be consistent in almighty la liga Gift Orban who I personally think is a hustler should get more goals Boniface doesn’t play like a natural striker or should I say doesn’t have a natural strikers instinct when he plays for Nigeria Arokodare i haven’t watched a lot of his games to conclude (I’ve seen highlights & tap ins) Dessers might actually stand a chance to make that list if he keeps scoring in Europa league, surely he won’t be denied. Nigerians don’t rate Scottish league I don’t know if Onuachu will make the list from the Championship, except he goes back to Belgium on loan maybe. Is this really the end of Kelechi Iheanacho’s super eagles career? I remember Gernot Rohr dropped him just before AFCON 2019, he revived his career. Will it happen again ? Iheanacho is 28 years old I believe Man City messed his style up by changing his football position, it appears this affects a lot of footballers. Chrisantus Uche needs to be in this team We have 2 proven world class players in the team, maybe we could have 3 If we get to the World Cup & the team list is 100% based on merit. I believe we could beat all the non World Cup winners including taking down a few of the 8 World Cup winners. (I mean I could see us beating Holland, USA, Croatia, Japan, Sweden, Australia etc comfortably) Maybe I’m dreaming ![]() |

Sometimes in this giddy air of excitement, I wish I was a boy again. There's a special sweetness football had when I was a child. I pray naija wins a major tourney so that just as I basked in the joy of Tunisia 94 and Atlanta 96, the young ones of today can have such national memories to tap from when they are older. There's this place in Wurukum in Makurdi. My mum used to send me on errands to go buy accessories - zip, buttons, stay, thread etc - for her tailoring. Omo, one man used to sell posters (sorry Gen Z, una fit no sabi the kind poster I'm referring to) at a spot close to the shops I buy the accessories. I used to stop by there and I'd be lost in a trance looking at those posters. It was simply magical. Any time I went on such errands, I'd go pay homage to this glittering monument of national achievement. It was so endearingly beautiful with renewed charm every time I set my eyes on the posters. The magic never wore off. I pray we win again

yinkeys:Holland - No USA - Yes Croatia - No Sweden - Yes Australia - Yes Japan - Maybe All on paper, but if we wan turn am to fight we fit beat all of them with this squad and some tweaks 😏 |

Mujtahida:Everyone knows the best player is between Yekini & Kanu. I pick Kanu for global recognition He demolished Chelsea in 99 & made so many West Africans become Arsenal fans ![]() 96 Olympics seem like a fair tournament, unlike World Cup because in the Olympics every continent is represented equally I guess it’s because Europeans & their companies largely actually fund global football Total is CAF’s partner too lol Every continent should have equal representation at the World Cup just like Olympics, let’s see whether an African team won’t get to a final |

BankyGee:You are underrating Scandinavian teams lol Denmark, Sweden have always gotten the W against us the few times we met them I believe Uche, Osimhen & Lookman will be a deadly combo for many teams I think these are the 3 world class players we have, even though Uche is yet to prove himself I may add Ola Aina too, have you seen his crazy long throws lol ![]() Aina’s agent should try to help him get to Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid Hoping we can balance the team out I somewhat like how Chukwueze was used in the last game against Rwanda Osimhen really impressed me in the 1st half against Rwanda, he was deadly- 1 clear cut chance & 2 goals scored He created the 2nd goal himself, he’s missed 1 on 1’s like that in the past & I wasn’t sure he would take the opportunity with this but VO9 was clinical (world class) Tiny margins make up victories in the world cup Henrik Larson was clinical in 2002 against Nigeria, that’s why Sweden beat Nigeria |

yinkeys:The thing tire me, some players agent they fvckup. Real Madrid doesn't have a natural RB and Aina is at Forest. Even Man City needs Aina more than he needs them. |

yinkeys:These present Scandinavian teams no really really sharp go far like that 😁 Our defence and attack are world-class in my opinion, we just need few tweaks to the midfield to have a complete world-class squad, and make other attackers turn up... I don't even know why I'm having the feeling that Boniface will cook against European teams if we eventually get to the World Cup 🤔 |

Sugarboyy:We don’t have Work horse box to box midfielders & Defensive midfielders that score goals That’s why Ndidi & Onyeka aren’t classified as world class to me I feel like Onyeka has more to offer I need to watch more of Onyedikachi, I don’t think he’s as energetic as Onyeka though Can we ever get a Kante, Rodri or Odegard ? Lol |

Mujtahida:The lesser Osimhen is Awoniyi but very poor this season.I hope he shake things up..... Osimhen 75/80 mins Awoniyi 15/10 mins go be hell for defenders |

Yea Fikayo Tomori made a mistake. He will most likely never play for England But hey, he made his decision right? |

yinkeys:How many countries can boast of these midfielders that you mentioned? Some of the countries with these exceptional midfielders also lack other things, e.g Norway and their Defence. If I'm the SE coach, I will always start Onyeka as my DM because of his work rate, Onyedika as my CM because the guy is good with ball control and controls the midfield better than Ndidi and either Bashiru or Iwobi as my AM (Bashiru is good at scoring from the midfield). |

lordofstrings:Rwanda isn't rated the most clean country in africa and among the top in the world for nothing. It has nothing to do with their stadium, it's their general culture. |

BankyGee:Our centre backs are average, not world class They can get the job done We don’t have Rudiger, Van Dijk, Saliba, Ruben Dias, Akanji quality These names up above are world class Bassey, Ekong, Ogbu are decent. Not world class South Africa will really test them, especially their pace Did you see what Brighton’s Adingra did to Ola Aina in AFCON final? Our defense struggled to contain him |

Im happy NFF employed Chelle Thé Mali team were very sound, we hope he can infuse his ideas fully in the team as we progress I would study what he does fully against Russia Maybe that’d be an avenue to test Nigeria’s.2nd and 3rd 11. To see who makes the cut We have too many strikers eh When we need only 3 Nigeria 3 - 0 Zimbabwe Nwabali will be on holiday lol ![]() |

Is Papa Daniels a DM or AM ? Will he get play time ? When are we gonna get the chance to see him play ? Zimbabwe or Russia ? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by yinkeys(m): 3:51pm On Mar 23, 2025 |
Sugarboyy:We have our wingbacks & forwards bench sorted out We just need to fix the midfielder & centre backs list. We have too many DM’s in the team. I guess it’s difficult to find really good creative offensive midfielders I guess Nigeria can’t produce Odegards, Palmer, de Bruyne & Ozil type of footballers because of lack of grassroot developmental facilities We really need a magician in the middle, we have too many DMs Obasogie & Maduka should also be tried in friendlies Okoye still seems shaky to me in the Nigerian jersey, I say this because of the loss against Rwanda We need a proper replacement for Nwabali in case he isn’t available So Papa Daniel is a DM too ? |
