Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone to Hell? This is one of the most common questions skeptics ask: “If God is love, why would He send people to hell? Isn't that wicked?” Some even argue that if God truly loved us, He would accept everyone into heaven regardless of their sins. But is this reasoning correct? Let’s examine it carefully. Hell Was Never Meant for Humans First, we must understand that God did not originally create hell for humans. The Bible is very clear about this: "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." – Matthew 25:41 Who was hell prepared for? The devil and his angels. Hell was never meant for mankind! But something changed. Man took on the nature of sin, the very nature of Satan. And because God is just, He cannot allow sin to abide in His presence. A Sinful Nature Cannot Enter a Holy Place Imagine a hospital with a sterile operating room. The room is perfectly clean, free from bacteria, and ready for surgery. Would a responsible doctor allow someone covered in mud, carrying deadly germs, to walk into that sterile room? Of course not! The doctor is not wicked for refusing entry; he is protecting the purity of the space. In the same way, heaven is a place of perfect holiness. No sin can enter. God is not wicked for refusing entry to those who still carry the sin nature. The real question is: Why would anyone refuse the cleansing that God has freely provided? God’s Plan Was Never to Send Anyone to Hell God does not take pleasure in the death of sinners. The Bible says: "Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?" – Ezekiel 33:11 God is not some cruel dictator sending people to hell for His amusement. On the contrary, He has done everything possible to prevent men from going there. He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to take away the sin of the world. He provided a way for all men to escape judgment and receive eternal life. Man’s Choice: Rejecting or Accepting God’s Offer Let’s illustrate it this way: Imagine a man drowning in the ocean. A lifeguard sees him, throws him a lifeline, and says, “Grab on, and I will pull you to safety!” But instead of taking the lifeline, the man refuses and says, “If you really cared about me, you would come down here and let me swim in my own way.” He drowns, not because the lifeguard was wicked, but because he rejected the only way to be saved. This is exactly what happens with salvation. God has provided the only way to escape eternal separation from Him—through Jesus Christ. Anyone who rejects Jesus is essentially saying, “I don’t want to be saved God’s way.” Hell is simply the default destination for those who refuse God's offer of life. God Respects Your Free Will God will never force anyone into heaven. That would violate free will. If a man rejects God in this life, it would be unjust for God to drag him into eternity with Him against his will. That’s why hell is not just a place of punishment—it is a place of separation. Those who reject God now will continue in that rejection forever. C.S. Lewis once put it this way: “The gates of hell are locked from the inside.” God does not force men into hell; men choose it by rejecting Him. How to Escape Hell The good news is that no one has to go to hell. Jesus Christ has already paid the price for your sins. All you need to do is believe and accept His free gift of salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." – John 3:16 If you want to receive this new life today, pray this simple prayer: "Lord Jesus, I believe you died for my sins and rose again to give me eternal life. I confess that I am a sinner and I ask for your forgiveness. I accept your sacrifice and invite you into my life as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me. Amen." If you prayed this prayer with sincerity, you are now saved! Hell is no longer your destination—heaven is. Final Words God is not wicked for planning to send men to hell. In reality, He has done everything possible to stop them from going there. Those who end up in hell will not be there because God wanted them there, but because they rejected the only way to be saved. Choose life today. Choose Jesus. God bless your heart. |

some dey argue if heaven was that perfect, how then was Satan able to rebel against The Almighty God to the point that there was a war too ? |
| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by GothamCities(op): 2:04pm On Mar 23, 2025 |
Bmaster:That's a great question, and it touches on an important distinction: Heaven as God's dwelling place vs. the presence of free will. 1. Heaven Was Perfect, But Angels Have Free Will Heaven is indeed perfect, but perfection does not mean the absence of free will. God created both angels and humans with the ability to choose. Lucifer (Satan) was not created as a devil; he was originally a high-ranking angel—a perfect being with the ability to choose good or evil. Ezekiel 28:15 describes Lucifer before his fall: "You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you." God did not create a robotic world where beings are forced to obey Him. Love and obedience must come from a willing heart, not from force. Lucifer, in his pride, chose to rebel, and he convinced other angels to follow him. 2. How Could There Be War in Heaven? Revelation 12:7-9 tells us: "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven." The war was not a physical battle with swords and guns. It was a battle of authority. Satan wanted to overthrow God (Isaiah 14:12-14), but he was cast out of heaven because no created being can overpower the Almighty. 3. Why Did God Allow This? God allows free will because true righteousness must be chosen, not forced. Just as Lucifer had the choice to obey or rebel, so do humans. God desires love and obedience that come from the heart, not from compulsion. 4. Why Can’t Sin Enter Heaven Again? Unlike in Lucifer’s time, the current Kingdom of God is sealed. After Christ’s victory on the cross, there will never again be rebellion in heaven. Those who enter heaven will have been transformed into the perfect nature of Christ, making rebellion impossible. "And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." – Revelation 21:27 Conclusion Heaven was perfect, but free will allowed Lucifer to rebel. The "war" was a battle for authority, but Satan was cast out. God allowed this because love and obedience must be chosen. Future rebellion is impossible because only the redeemed, transformed in Christ’s nature, will enter heaven. God’s justice and wisdom are perfect. The same way He purged heaven of rebellion, He is also purging the world of sin so that His eternal Kingdom remains pure. That’s why receiving Christ is the only way to escape sin’s destruction. Would love to hear your thoughts on this! |

Why would /should God send his spirit to hel? Does it make any sense? Man is body made from the dust of the earth + God's spirit/breath. When you expire, God's spirit returns to him and the body is buried for it to return to the earth. Just like the preacher said in Ecclesiastics 12:7 What the fvck goes to hell?? |
| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by GothamCities(op): 4:09pm On Mar 23, 2025 |
sonmvayina:Man's spirit returns to God The breathe of life is a lease to man to enable man dwell on earth. When the earthly existence of a man expires, the breathe of life returns to God who gave it but the real man continues to live another life beyond the earth.. You'll agree with me even from scriptures that man does not cease to be after he dies. His spirit returns to God but his soul lives on. That's why the scriptures say "The soul (not the spirit) that sinneth shall die " Ezekiel 18:20. This death spoken of here is eternal separation from God, not extinction. As the Old Testament also says: "The wicked shall be cast to hell, and all the nations that forget God." Psalm 9:17. |

GothamCities:The soul is the body + God's spirit. We are a soul, we don't have a soul. |
| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by GothamCities(op): 6:12pm On Mar 23, 2025 |
sonmvayina:The body goes extinct, Souls don't. The soul of man is the real man. That's what the Bible calls "The Inner Man". The body is just a casing that pins the soul to the earth. The soul escapes the earth ones the body dies. |

GothamCities:The soul belongs to God. It is God's spirit why should he send himself to hell? When did God say he would send his spirit to hell? When God breath into man, it becomes a living soul. When God takes his breath, the soul ceases to exist. Comprende? |

Hell Was Never Meant for Humans@Gothamcities Devil is just the personification of darkness. There is no where it says in the Tanakh that the devil was evil. I don't know where the authors of the Bible got that idea from. Only God is God. There are not two, the devil is not a dual opposite of God, to think so is an insult. God is sovereign over all his creation. Nothing happens without his Ok. He creates light and darkness, he creates peace and evil. Only the Lord most high. The devil is God's property and very much part of God. |
| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by GothamCities(op): 7:53pm On Mar 25, 2025 |
sonmvayina:While you're right that God has no opposite, you're wrong to say the devil is just darkness and not evil. The devil is actually a being. A fallen angel formerly called Lucifer. He has many names they call him.in the cults. Those who worship Satan know that he is not just darkness but a being. |

sonmvayina:No, the Soul is the man that came alive when God breathed His Spirit into man. It was the soul that became a living soul and animated the clay which is the body. |

| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by sonmvayina(m): 8:21pm On Mar 25, 2025 |
GothamCities:This is where you people keep missing it. I have explained this a thousand times. The devil is not the same as Satan is not the same as Lucifer. They are 3 different Orishas. Orishas represent the personification of laws and principles. Satan is the he Orisha of the air. The Bible says he is the Lord of the air. Please read the book of job. Devil is the Orisha of darkness AKA the moon. The Bible calls it the prince of darkness. Lucifer is a she, she is the Orisha or love, wisdom, war and death. She is the morning star and queen of heaven. She is also Mary the mother of Jesus in Christianity. They are not evil. They represent the forces of life personified. |
| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by GothamCities(op): 8:39pm On Mar 25, 2025 |
sonmvayina:Lol. These your post is full of ignorance my friend. Devil is a general name for any being. Even common English language will call you a devil.for being evil. But evilness itself derived itself from Satan. That's why devil and Satan are used interchangeably for him. He has many names in the Bible. He is called Leviathan. He is called The serpent. He is also called the dragon as well as many other names. Mary in Christianity is not an orisha except you're talking about the Roman Catholic Church which is a modernized cult of ancient Babylon. Their Mary is actually Asthoreth also called Semiramis Diana, Athemis, etc. She is the one called the queen of heaven. She is disguised as Mary in Roman Catholicism and worshipped. In Yoruba, she is Yeye Osun A very high ranking fallen angel. Satan is a male who was originally called Lucifer before he rebelled. All scripture references to Satan designate him as a man with the male pronouns. He is the chief of all forces of darkness. Those of God whom God uses in the ministry of deliverance actually know who Satan is beyond what we read in books. He is none of what you're describing him to be. Like in all cults, he is often described as a good spirit but he's not. He is the ruler of the darkness of this world. The chief of the agents of wickedness. |

sonmvayina:That isn't what you said. When God breathed into man, did the Bible not say that the man BECAME A LIVING SOUL? If he became a living soul by the breath of God, how can the same breathe be the spirit of God? Was the breathe of God a dead soul before it entered into Adam to become a living soul? |
| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by sonmvayina(m): 8:44pm On Mar 25, 2025 |
GothamCities:You really don't know anything. Breath is used interchangeably with spirit. See Ecclesiastics 12 "7 for more details or Psalm 104:29-31. |
| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by GothamCities(op): 8:49pm On Mar 25, 2025 |
sonmvayina:Yes, breathe is used interchangeably with spirit. That's why soul cannot be breathe. I asked you a question, if the breathe of God became a living soul after it entered Adam, was it a dead soul before it entered Adam? Breathe is spirit but breathe is not soul Both spirit and soul are different things. Another question is "The soul gjY sinneth shall die. Would God's breathe die if indeed God's breath is the same as the soul? |

GothamCities:Satan is described as a he....Taurus (The bull) Devil is also a he Capricorn (The goat) Lucifer is a she Virgo (The virgin) They are 3 different Orishas. Where do you people get the idea of fallen angels from? It is found no where in the Tanakh or Bible. Believe me when I say that Mary is Lucifer, the mother of Jesus. I have a strong Catholic background. I know church history a lot. |
| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by sonmvayina(m): 8:56pm On Mar 25, 2025 |
GothamCities:Let me walk you through it. God made a statue of a man from the dust of the earth (mud) it's a statue there is no life. Then God breathed into it and it became a living soul( it came to life) The statue + God's breath( spirit) = soul. The Bible also tells us that God's breath is the same image and likeness as God, so therefore we are Gods living inside a body made from Dust. When you expire, God takes his breath, it becomes one with God, and we bury your body so that it can become one with the earth after termites have finish eating your body. So what is going to hell? |

| Re: Is God Not Wicked? Why Will He Send Anyone To Hell? by GothamCities(op): 8:56pm On Mar 25, 2025 |
sonmvayina:Smiling. The church history you know is that of the modernized Babylonian cult- the Catholic Church. They have a fake Mary and you'll be correct if you call their Mary an orisha. In Christiiendom, Mary is just an ordinary being who mothered the Lord Jesus. There's nothing special about her demanding of being worshipped. There's a lot of deception in the kingdom of darkness. All the orisas you worship are actually fallen angels. They always resemble and bow whenever we confront them in the name of Jesus. |

Kobojunkie:If I give you the verse of scripture that says the spirit of man returns to God, would you admit that you're the one who's ignorant. Would you humble yourself and learn the Truth of God and discard your satanically infused doctrines? Here you go: Ecclesiastes 12:7: "And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it." Whatever I have said in that comment of mine have scriptural basis. |

GothamCities:Did you read the verse with your eyes wide open? It says "the spirit returns to God who gave it". So where do you obtain this claim that the spirit in question BELONGED to man? That was and still is my question to you. ![]() I can show you were God indicated that He put that spirit inside of man. However, God never said that the spirit belonged to man as a result of Him putting it inside of man. And that spirit also happens to be God's very own breath of Life, which He installed in man when He created him - Genesis 2 vs 5 - 8 & Genesis 3 vs 19 - 24. ![]() |

sonmvayina:You don't even know the Gospel let alone knowing any character there. How can you talk about Mary? Have you.met her before? If you cannot prove the Gospel, you cannot talk the Gospel or any of its characters to those who can prove it. No, the Gospel was not written by the Catholic Church. The Gospel predates the Catholic Church. |
