If you click on my post to take you to the original post, you will see the back of the Ecoflow where the AC inlets are and the type of the adapter that I use. Like he said, it is the same thing with your extension box.

Thanks guys for this wonderful thread. Not done reading but learned a lot so far.

This post by twosquare really cleared my doubts about certain things but one question I still have is about the socket inlet type.

The generator adapter I’m used to and actually have is the type attached here in.

Not quite sure what type of socket the EcoFlow River Pro comes with by default or if it is different from the standard, is there some sort of converter?

Please, any clarification on this would be appreciated. Thanks again

Please am confused, I just got the delta 2 1024 whr . I charge it full to 100%. The I plug my phone which take 6W but the hours seems incorrect after calculating. It shows 92hours but according to what have been seen you take your output watts and divide it by the WHR. Should be 1000whr divide by 6watts that am consuming which is about 166 . So it should be showing 166hours remaining and not 92hours. Is my math correct? Or is there something am missing ?

Did thesame with my 20w fan too and it shows 33hours remaining and eco flow is 100% . Shouldn’t it be 1024 divided by 20W which is about 51. Should be 51hours remaining and not 33hours it shows
No inverter or machine is 100 percent efficient, there will be losses, and in this case, the power station's inbuilt inverter works by converting Direct current from its lithium ion phosphate batteries to alternate current, this 'WORK' definitely reduces the efficiency of the power station, the inverter itself consumes some of the juice from the batteries during the DC to AC conversion, you cannot have hundred percent.
On the time left while loads are plugged in, it depends, you'll get more running time if you plug a DC fan into the DC outlet without turning on the inverter, plug the same fan with an AC to DC adapter and then turn on thr AC button of the inverter (turn the inverter on) and you'll not get even half the estimated time of the DC connection.

Chai, just seeing this...that is why people run from skyrun. Their freezers or so gave them out. Like the advice on this thread, always go with a known tested, trusted, and reviewed brand.

Imagine such a company doing wayo. There is a guy on the solar thread, is it Valtech or so, one will get a sure and better deal with him than Skyrun...these guys are unfortunate beings...spending such an amount for this. E dey pain me.

Mandate1:
I won't recommend this product.

Don't be deceived by the 2000W dey advertise, it's actually 1000W with a 104ah battery.

Any company that fails to add fine touches to their product is not a gud brand. I have the battery rating from 0-100. From 85-100 is whr the juice is, 84-0 depletes in less than 10mins.

A power station of this amount shouldn't be seen doing this rubbish. I strongly do not recommend u buy a skyrun product.

Just cut this plug away
And attach a normal plug to it
That's all

The 555w alone is enough. I'm yet to put mine on the roof of my building, I just rest it on the wall at the back of my room and it charges my D2 from 20 something percent to 100% within 3 hours depending on the sunlight.
What's the average and maximum output you normally get with this method/positioning of your panel?

@fuckboys

I later found out through Josh’s help that what was affecting my comtroller was the terminal connection. You can see from this image that it was burnt here. This prevented my controller from charging my battery correctly. The day I noticed it, I had to tighten it, and it’s been working fantastic ever since and no issues. I guess I’ll upgrade to a higher one from his end when I get the money. Cos he is always available to help. And if any issue pops up, I’m returning it, at least that what he said.

I wasn't just sure if the issues I was facing then was the controller or battery, but at least, now I know.
oh that’s great you’ve solved that issue. Yeah Josh always answers whenever you calls that what I like about him.

… Well understood now, thanks a lot for the quick reply

One thing again please, if I decide not to get the 220w EcoFlow Panel at such a pricey amount, what’s the next best 3rd party alternative? I read where someone mentioned Jinko 555w or so, any link?

Also which one in particular (in terms of specs) because I saw a video on YouTube saying if the voltage is more than that of the EcoFlow it can fry it..

You need a smaller panel,300W max.

I think I understand what you meant. It will blink like something that wants to faint...and not good...which means it can spoil it if you are not careful.

I think what you are trying to say is if you are charging the Ecoflow via solar, and you forgot to remove the AC charger from the socket, and when you put it on to power the house, it is expected for the Ecoflow to charge itself from the power it provides, right? No, it will almost switch itself off and be blinking like that, like a transformer wey get issue.

I hope I am right in your question.
If the power station is being charged with DC when the charging AC cable is also plugged in and then NEPA decides to show you love, what happens is that the power station's screen comes on to let you know it has disengaged the DC charging and enabled AC charging, you hear a click when this happens, Ecoflow engineers did good with that smart function, (some power stations can even charge with both AC and solar at the same time).

I have the River2pro, to spare you the long technical explanation which is quite unnecessary, just get a 300watts solar panel, People speak good of JINKO, I use AFRICELL and I hit the maximum solar charge power of 220watts any day the sun shines bright, enjoy.

please I am confused about something, since you can use it while charging, what will happen to your power station when you forget to remove the charger from socket when the power station is currently in use? I.e the power station supply the electricity to the socket that is charging the ecoflow. Will it spoil it immediately??
You'll be safe if that socket you might not remember to turn off, or unplug your Ecoflow charging cable from, isn't in the circuit the Ecoflow powers, stay safe, be careful, let an electrician come in if you really don't know what you're doing, you can afford that if you can afford the power station.

Pv panel finally came in. 555W Jinko. I can now see why many people prefer smaller panels, particularly in tall buildings. Thing is as heavy as lead. Getting it up a roof can be a serious hassle.

Also I realised that the previous one I ordered from Alaba was polycrystalline, and was not up to the slated 550w. It was a rip-off that couldn't have been more than 400W. Those ppl are crooks.

Now I'm wondering whether to still run it in parallel with the 555w or just stick to the 555w alone...
Please where did you buy this?

If foauni, what time did you order?

It's our of stock therebas we speak.

I’ll advise getting the 590w or 620w (not tested yet) if you’re later able to buy on fouani or offline

Had an existing panel, that's why I stuck with 555w. Now, I'm discovering that the existing panel is not as it seems,as it supplies me around 270w max @ peak sunshine.

Plus the difference between 555 and 615 is 'only' 60W tongue ...

Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by 3ncrypt3d(m):
Okay so my device just came in but this is exactly what I was confused about. Attached herein is a pic of how the gen inlet/socket is wired.

So how do i link it up and still be able to use gen when solar not in use? Since the socket is different, is there a way to have a square adapter (matching the R2 Pro) and still have that gen adapter at the same time from that same wiring so that when I changeover to gen all I need do is switch by simply swapping adapter when necessary?

Babatundehy:
It comes with the kind of socket in your house, definitely not the generator adapter, look at the pictures of the UK version of River2pro, the device comes exactly as the picture shows, like the socket on your extension 👍

You can find an electrician or so to help you change tye socket on the gen to similar one on the River 2 pro
After that, just change the plug on the wire to suit both.

That way , you wil plug into whichevr u want to use per time
Be it R2 pro or generator

First of all, Is this place where you have the "gen outlet' safe for your power station? this is how I think you can do this, you can splice open the wires that goes into your generator just before the plug, get a13amp plug that goes into the river connected to the same wires and then tape up, this will mean your gen plug in the picture will be 'hot' when your river2pro is powering your house, dangerous if someone steps on the gen plug at this time, the same for the 13amp plug that goes into the river2pro, so this also means you cannot forget to unplug it before putting on your Gen, as doing so will send power from your gen into the AC output side of the River2pro.
There won't be problems if you're always careful and never forgetful and no one else plays around where the river is, should you leave the plug in your river and let the gen run then God help you.

Right! He can even do that himself, what's needed is just the 13amps plug, a tape and maybe pliers or a knife and screwdriver.

I also thought about what you said regarding safety and yeah, lol.. E be like say na to run am inside house. These suggestions have now led me to the idea of perhaps running a separate cable from the ‘mains’ inside with 13amps plug, then using a second changeover inside too, to prevent theft and then potential breach/interference between gen and solar.. At least maybe this way, once I’ve switched to gen from first changeover, i move to 2nd changeover which can only be either gen or solar and then switch.

Thanks guys 🙏
