Will you make it to the Mundial with your king of striker's? No
But you establish he's king of African strikers?

Yes it wasn't, but used to be cleaner
Population is also part of the cause.

If I'm playing that 4-4-2 formation with a diamond in midfield, I'll do so with slightly different personnel

Nwabali in goal

In defence, Ola Aina and Bruno Onyemaechi start at right-back and left-back respectively. Centre backs will be Ekong and Bassey.

The midfield diamond will comprise: Onyeka at the base in place of Ndidi. Onyeka has bigger lungs, more legs, stamina, marks better, covers more ground and is better with possession and passing.

Iwobi will play in front of Onyeka at the tip of the diamond and behind the front two. It's no brainer cos Iwobi is by far the best passer of the ball in the team. We need him playing as close to the strikers as possible.

Ademola Lookman takes the left and Simon Moses the right tips of the diamond quadrant.

Upfront would be Victor Osimhen and support striker would be Uche Chrisantus. Chrisantus will play as a hybrid support striker and Attacking midfielder with dual roles depending on phases of the games

These players will interpret the roles and formation better.
Very telling that Chukwueze is left out. Simon however doesn't play well when deployed to the right.

Iwobi stopped scoring since he started playing from deep. I agree with you that he should play close to the attackers.

This is very interesting. We will see the what will happened in afcon i just wish we give him more chance in case we didn't qualify for world cup.

Eric wont mind using local players to execute his game plane.
He definitely has a plan

On one of the Facebook page of South Africa national teams, the admin asked the followers which city they'd like to take the game against us in September to...many of them mentioned anywhere but Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape town and Durban because of the large population of Nigerians there grin cheesy.

Na for Nairaland, AE lift formation play Ghana for WCQ in Abuja.
Odion Ighalo said He was surprised to see AE change formation few hrs to that crunch formation after they have finalized and perfected the formation they were going to play Ghana with.
Don't be surprised Eric Chelle visits this thread too.
Abeg ooo.

I have watched this sequence over and over again. I keep asking, how does Lookman think that he can score from such position with his left. A quick turn and a back pass to Simon would have set Osihmen up for a blast. Even Chukwueze was there. Iwobi was running in. Surprised Osihmen was just strolling , 😀😃
even in Atalanta, once Lookman enter box 18 he doesn’t know what they call pass again oo, baba go pull trigger straight up…he’s been successful with it most times sha, but can be very annoying and frustrating at times

SA is in ivory coast already…most times follow wikipedia caf worldcup qualifiers, they update immediately they get any info….Benin can not stupidly go and play in south africa…if they were even gonna play there, after the Zimbabwe match in Durban SA, would they waste fund flying back to west africa and still fly back to south africa ni?

He scored a goal in a similar position this season for Atalanta in which he was crowded by four players.
