That Isak guy is good. But one thing for sure is, his personality is no way near as strong as Osimhen. Osimhen is a beast!!! His passion, drive and doggedness is out of this world.

Isak is sleeky, tricky, a better ball player, and slightly technically better

Just went to watch all our AFCON highlights again 😂

Who say Iwobinho no good? Mad passes everywhere, there was the through pass to Osimhen 🆚 Equatorial Guinea which Osimhen missed 1-v-1, there was the counter pass to Moses Simon too 🆚 Côte d'Ivoire to set him 1-v-1 too, we no score, the quick passes between him and Ademola Lookman and Bassey to cook that second goal 🆚 Cameroon, the pass to !Zaidu Sanusi, which Zaidu sent to Simon to setup Lookman for the goal 🆚 Angola... Omo 😮‍💨

Alhassan Yusuf 🆚 Equatorial Guinea seff was another passing beast! Na injury do am strong thing, very intelligent player, launched as sweet pass across the box that created an empty net which Zaidu Sanusi missed!

We didn't really play bad in that AFCON, goosebumps full my body watching all the games, Peseiro had a game plan and stuck to it all through and our players played to the best of that game plan!

Let's see what Chelle cooks again, December too far! 😤😤😤
Iwobi has surreal passing ability, we all know so no surprises there

But

Alhassan Yusuf? People have been sleeping on that guy. He's damn intelligent, sublime and a total baller, no cap.

He does not have the brawn and physicality of Onyeka but he more than makes up for that with anticipation, on & off-ball intelligence, good positioning and passing.

He only lost his starting place in AFCON due to the injury he copped in our first game against Equatorial Guinea.

Unfortunately, the prejudice and bias against players of Northern origin due to the quota system practice has blinded many people to his quality and makes them believe he's undeserving of being in the squad.

For me, anybody wey talk say Alhassan Yusuf no sabi ball or no suppose dey squad, I dey immediately adjudge that person as a football novice.

Alhassan merits his place in the squad.

Definitely, Osimhen's dominant playing style is a big plus for him but I am more drawn to Isak's technical style and quick decision making. Also, his ability to finish from a far distance, without being close to the keeper thrills me.

Either way, they are both brilliant. My choice for Isak is strictly on playing style preference.

those who keep saying we played badly at Afcon are just economical with the truth, we played some good football, our problem is always the first game syndrome, once we lose or draw we tend to use the result of the first game to describe the team no matter how much they improve in latter games, it was the same thing in 2013 we drew our first game and many even wrote off the Eagles, till today people stii say keshi's team was boring. Imagine the assist from Babatunde to Ahmed Musa for our first goal against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup, that was delightful to watch. Watch our WCQ games under Rohr to the 2018 World Cup, especially the game against Cameroon, the same Rohr we accuse of destroying our game, na tension dey make us talk anyhow most times. Even in our last game I know how some were already bashing the team despite the disciplined play from the Eagles. Reason I'm happy Chelle won his first game cos if it was a draw or we lost omo na different things we go dey see or hear.

I change my mind. It is that Liverpool goal he scored that is covering my eyes. Osimhen is better. I don't usually make such decision on reflection, Osimhen offers more tenacity and grit. He is also good at bringing that force to his play. I choose Osimhen. Isak should not vex.

Bro, I'm just rewatching the match. See that devil of a goalkeeper saved that Simon curler. If not those kind of zippy goals by Osimhen, how would we have scored that guy? Guy is a first rate shot stopper
I hope that GK plays in one of the top leagues in Africa at least.

Solace Chukwu wrote a very insightful piece analyzing Chelle's tactics. Seems he used a diamond 442 against Rwanda with Chukwueze deployed as a CM and Simon as a CF with Lookman in the no. 10.

Interesting.

Osimhen is the best black-skinned striker on the globe right now.

Osimhen is a cheat code.

Having him in your team is like playing with 1 goal up.

God bless Victor Osimhen and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
