Just went to watch all our AFCON highlights again 😂

Who say Iwobinho no good? Mad passes everywhere, there was the through pass to Osimhen 🆚 Equatorial Guinea which Osimhen missed 1-v-1, there was the counter pass to Moses Simon too 🆚 Côte d'Ivoire to set him 1-v-1 too, we no score, the quick passes between him and Ademola Lookman and Bassey to cook that second goal 🆚 Cameroon, the pass to !Zaidu Sanusi, which Zaidu sent to Simon to setup Lookman for the goal 🆚 Angola... Omo 😮‍💨

Alhassan Yusuf 🆚 Equatorial Guinea seff was another passing beast! Na injury do am strong thing, very intelligent player, launched a sweet pass across the box that created an empty net which Zaidu Sanusi missed!

We didn't really play bad in that AFCON, goosebumps full my body watching all the games, Peseiro had a game plan and stuck to it all through and our players played to the best of that game plan!

Let's see what Chelle cooks again, December too far! 😤😤😤
Iwobi should tuck in behind the attackers. He's very deadly there.

those who keep saying we played badly at Afcon are just economical with the truth, we played some good football, our problem is always the first game syndrome, once we lose or draw we tend to use the result of the first game to describe the team no matter how much they improve in latter games, it was the same thing in 2013 we drew our first game and many even wrote off the Eagles, till today people stii say keshi's team was boring. Imagine the assist from Babatunde to Ahmed Musa for our first goal against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup, that was delightful to watch. Watch our WCQ games under Rohr to the 2018 World Cup, especially the game against Cameroon, the same Rohr we accuse of destroying our game, na tension dey make us talk anyhow most times. Even in our last game I know how some were already bashing the team despite the disciplined play from the Eagles. Reason I'm happy Chelle won his first game cos if it was a draw or we lost omo na different things we go dey see or hear.
I even watched our Afcon 23 match versus Cameroun. Wowwwww that match was scintillating. Like you said we played real good football.

Did South Africa field an ineligible player vs Lesotho?

Teboho Mokoena (Yellow Card 54 mins ) vs Benin- Match Day 1

Teboho Mokoena ( Yellow Card 52nd minute ) vs Zimbabwe -Match day 4

He should have been suspended for their game vs Lesotho, but he played. If confirmed, South Africa will be deducted 3 points.

Please let NFF, CAF, and FIFA know.

omo i think this should be looked into ooo, can we escalate this to necessary quarters, infact make i go look for NFF,CAF and FIFA websites email am to them😅😅😀….however i found an article backdated in 2019 that talks about yellow card offense, saying it has been amended to after 3yellow cards collected, but but that amendment is meant for CAF club competitions, i dont know wether it applies to the FIFA world cup qualifiers CAF…if it doesn’t and it still stand as suspension for two yellow cards then SA has violated that rule by fielding T.MOKOENA, their No.4 DM got two yellow card in this qualifying series
MD1: SA 2-1 Benin (Yellow card T.Mokoena no.4)
MD3: SA 3-1 Zimbabwe (Yellow card T.Mokoena no.4)
MD 4: Nig 1-1 SA (T.Mokoena no.4 was fielded without serving a match ban)
MD 5: SA 2-0 Lesotho (Mokoena still played)

omo in this qualifying series na every strategy we suppose use qualify oo, shebi it was zambian FA that spotted out our own violation in 2017 and reported us to CAF/FIFA that got our 3points deducted due to Shehu Abdullahi’s two yellow card offence..
Shehu got a yellow card in a world cup preliminary against Swaziland (Nig 2-0 Swaziland) in 2015 and also got another yellow card against Zambia in the main group stage qualifiers 2017(Nig 1-0) and was fielded against Algeria in the last qualifying match (Algeria 0-0 Nigeria) that got Nigeria fined, point deducted and 3-0 awarded to Algeria.

like this omo is not joke oo, they have to look into SA own abeg, if na SA discover this kind thing them go loud am.
abeg abeg abeg if found guilty sharp sharp, deduct them that 3point and award Lesotho with 3points not time abegggg!!😠😠😡😡

EXCEPT IF THE RULES HAS CHANGED OOOOO.

I thought yellow cards are cancelled if they were not accumulated consecutively, or am I wrong?

First yellow was on match day1 and he didn't get another yellow on match day 2.

As Iwobi is on a yellow now, if he avoids another yellow against Zimbabwe today, automatically that previous yellow becomes invalid. Isn't that how it is done?

Someone who understands these rules better should look into this please, because we were punished for same reason enroute to 2018 world cup when Rohr fielded Shehu against Algeria in Algiers.

no, according to chatGPT:

No, yellow cards do not have to be consecutive for players to accumulate a suspension in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Here's how it works:

A player can receive yellow cards in different matches over the course of the qualification campaign.

If a player accumulates two yellow cards in separate matches, they will be suspended for the next match. This suspension applies regardless of whether the yellow cards are received consecutively or with other matches in between.
