I won't call it abysmal. Just subpar. Putting the players in their best position and going with a simpler formation that they understand will make it a lot better. National teams have barely 4 training sessions in between matches,that's too little time to try to implement something very drastic and complicated.

For now a simple 4 3 3 will be good for our team. Just get three midfielders and three forwards. That way, our midfield will not be lean.
