South Africa no go even gree us beat them.. we should just forget it. Chelle should start building for AFCON haha
FiveFootNinja:
I swear. It's actually fúcking sad that we're relying on point deductions from South Africa to keep our WC dream alive.

The irony of it all is that this Chelle can't even win AFCON

Osayi cost us this match. Ekong was all covering his ass throughout.
That goal came from someone from laxity from our offensive press. Maybe exhaustion. But, the guy who gave the assist was supposed to have been tracked to make it difficult for him to give that pass.

After that, we lost shape and it happened. undecided

Omo they shouldn't deduct SA points. They deserve where they are.
Useless nigeria team.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 7:07pm On Mar 25, 2025
Osayi scammed us with his display against Portugal the day he made his debut. That boy is a very poor right back, and I don't get why the best Right back in the epl is being forced out of position to accommodate Osayi.

TheGoodJoe:
We were making good defensive positioning towards the end. I still don't get how they just lost it at that period.

How the runner was not tracked too beats me.
Nwabali was off today. Two howlers and two nearly goals

So if Osimhen no score, no player fit score bah?? We never still learn. Make we dey play angry
This is the issue. If i was Chelle, i won't invite these two to the next game. But Chelle himself is toothless. He can't imagine something else outside these two. No contingency in super Eagles mode asides cross and nod
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Nobody:
It's obvious Ndidi has passed his prime.
I was expecting Chelle to bring on Igoh to steady the defense and add more men in midfield.
I was expecting Bassey at left back, Ekong and Igoh at CB and Ola Aina at RB. I have never been impressed with Osayi as he has always been the weakest link in defense. Sanusi should take his place once he gains match fit .

It's high time we bring back Onyeka to the squad and hard working Chrisantus Uche.
Felix Agu should be considered if he completes his switch.
How can you have a Jordan who plays left back glued to the bench ?
Why play Ola Aina at left when he is better playing at RB?.
We also need a look in at Authur Okonkwo the lanky GK at Wrexham.
Why must Eric Chelle play his players out of position always?
Eric Chelle must learn how to manage a game.

I am sad joor

Even before the shot, his misplaced passes time and again were pissing me off. There was one in the first half in particular that got me really angry.

TheGoodJoe:
When he missed that shot, I went ballistic. What is he doing up there? He should be helping the defense maintain shape. However, I joined from the 60th minute, so I am not in the position to be too critical.

We have two potent goal scorer in the team .. lookman and osimhen ..

Why not play to their strength..

Correct 100% exhaustion...
But Osayi was culprit in this match.

Diavolo:
The guys really tried but this is all on the coach. The starting formation, tactics and personnel choice were wrong. Then also when we finally scored, wrong substitutions, wrong instructions. Osayi, lookman and ndid should have been taking out as they were all exhausted but instead he brought in Boniface to do what exactly, when a more defensive sub and game plan should have been used. Hopefully this is a learning curve for him and he realizes his mistakes and doesn't stubbornly want to keep with this stupid formation,if not we are in for a long ride. World cup dream is officially over,we can move on to other things.
Once I saw Aina on the left and Osayi on the right again, I just became cold. I was never comfortable all through the match.

Let’s begin preparations for 2030 World Cup. Disband the entire team aside maybe Osimhen . Most cuddled and mentally frail players since 1994.

Lookman should stop being selfish and release ball when a player is through on goal.
His selfishness is too obvious. Even when a play is in better to score ,he will refused to pass the ball. I obviously saw it against Rwanda and today . But most Nigerians don't complain once they win . Today we all saw it

Football is not just by talent or connection
You didn’t bring 100% competent players that could serve as good subs in case of fatigue
I am pissed Uche & Onyeka we’re not invited tbh
We called up 4 strikers instead of 3
Ola Aina & Bruno Onyemaechi are the standard starters & are better than Osayi
Anyway sha. See you guys in 2030
Everything in Nigeria has gone bad due to corruption
We lost the game to fatigue if you ask me
Coach didn’t know he was to make 4 or 5 subs
He made only 2 or 3 late
I guess he doesn’t know his players
Giant inside dust bih
Just like Okocha, I’m blaming this on NFF leadership & administration
Non transparent body

I also think the lads are finding it tough adjusting to the shape of Chelle. I am finding it difficult how to reshape the team because I believe Iwobi should be in the offensive hole, and Lookman. Lookman should be supporting Osimhen.

Either way, I feel our shape is still weak. The coach needs more work.

He's playing woke football. You can't just go gong ho every time na. His tactics from the beginning was off.

And I don't subscribe to this idea that you never change a winning team.

Osimhen and Lookman are the only ones deserving of a WC. Both are 26 and 27 now. Will miss the WC and would be 31 and 32 by then.

It is a shame that Africa's best striker in Particular doesn't get to play at the WC in his Prime.
Lookman didn't play anything in this match
If he is deserving of a WC then he should show it on the pitch

Ndidi has no business starting ahead of Onyedika or Onyeka. He passed his time. He found himself before the goalkeeper just a little tap he play wide . Abeg
