Not once in my posts did I state that Lookman turned up today. I said blame Chelle's setup. Osimhen didn't turn up in Lagos vs CAR. Didnt turn up vs GNB in Abuja. Didn't turn up to standards in the final vs CIV. I guess that rules him out of being WC deserving right?? I said both Osimhen and Lookman are the two I pick from this team as the players who deserve to play and show their talents at one WC at least and you attacked the comment because of Lookman and because of this game. Isn't that absolutely myopic view? Lookman didn't turn up today but he deserves a mundial appearance as well. Simple. Samueltemi337: |

Ekong and ndidi should leave this team after afcon. Their legs are gone. Players from npfl might not have the europe training in them but they would have the passion to defend the country. South Africa would soon go to the world cup with mostly home based players. |

Even with 10 Osimhen. Don’t see this clowns qualifying for the World Cup next year. Can they even pickup 12 points in the next 4 games |

According to FIFA's regulations, if no official protest is lodged within 24 hours of the match, the result will stand, and no disciplinary action will be taken. In other words, if no official report was made within 24 hours after the match, South Africa would likely avoid punishment, and the result of the match would remain unchanged. FIFA's rules emphasize the importance of timely reporting and protesting, ensuring that any issues or irregularities are addressed promptly and fairly. |

You handpicked Lookman and said he is not deserving of a WC. That is what you said wrong. Football has taught us never to use one game or isolated games to judge a player. Overtime, Lookman has shown he merits his place as one of our best 2 players and as Africa's best. Against Benin in Uyo for the AfconQs, with Osimhen on the bench, Lookman took on almost the entire Benin defence and scored a worldie. He went on to bag a brace in that game and Osimhen came off the bench and scored (after not playing for a long while due to the Napoli saga). Same Lookman delivered for us at the Afcon and I remember saying he wasn't our best at the Afcon but certainly one of our very best at that tournament. He showed up big in our last major tournament. Those NT showings alongside his club exploits earned him the APOTY for 2024. So saying he doesn't deserve a WC place like Osimhen, all because of this game today is very myopic. Samueltemi337: |

Dannyxy:Depends on when Algeria reported it sha. The 24 hour rule is on FIFA 2026 regulations. It may not have been there in 2018 |

joelsteron: I think it was Arokodare. It was an offensive pressed missed and it was crucial in the play that led to us conceding. |

They should allow chelle The guy is not bad. If there is one thing I noticed from our games, we clearly dominated. Our strikers were wasteful and the referee didn't help matters esp the penalty call on osihmen. However we do not deserve a world cup spot. SA did their work and they should represent africa Chelle is tactically sound. I don't know what some moniker as saying here. Besides I haven't seen super eagles dominate play like this If they allow this guy to get his personnels right, we are in for a monster super eagles team. |

Samueltemi337: I can't be critical of Lookman because he is adapting to a totally different role and it does not give him enough liberty to express himself offensively. Let us give the manager some few games because it is really a tough demand on the players. He is also getting to know the players too. |

TheSuperNerd:Where did I say he is not deserving of a WC place 🙄 I said if he is deserving of a WC place then he should show it on the pitch Because today he didn't show it Didn't show it against Benin Didn't show it against Lesotho Didn't show it against Zimbabwe in the first leg Didn't show it against South Africa Simply show you are deserving on the pitch Simple |
