MetalJigsaw:Yea, sorry I miss calculated. BUT Hypothetical speaking, I may be correct; If South Africa get deducted 3 points, they end up with 10points. If we get to beat them in our next fixture, we end up tallying equal with them on 10points each. If we can be able to win our remaining 3 matches convincingly with enough goals, we top the group. It's all based on calculations. |

Meliforme:Nwakali in SA would have been better than Nwakali in English division 3. I don't know why a Portuguese div one player wil join English division three..... Nwakali need to get it right. He can only get invitation on sentiment just like having Papi Daniel.AE did it for him in Afcon 2021. But guess what, during international break, English third tier clubs are busy so better for Nwakali to sort things out,his talent is above division 3. |

Mistakes Eric Chelle made with the Eagles that cost us victory against Zimbabwe! 1- Moses Simon is a good dribbler But his final ball is always a problem. His crosses are not always good and he doesn’t score too many goals. He wasted so many opportunities on the left side trying to dribble everyone. He deprived Osimhen and Arokodare of good crosses. 2- Not inviting Frank the tank Onyeka. That guy protected our defence and especially Ekong at the Afcon. The guy no Dey tire. He mops up all the loose balls. He should have played in a 2 man pivot with Ndidi with Iwobi in front. 3- You played the current best player in Africa and one of the best 20 in the world out of position in 2 matches just to satisfy your fantasy of playing your French speaking friend ,Moses Simon with the hope of giving crosses to Osimhen. You tried playing to Osimhen’s strength at the expense of Lookman. That was a big mistake. Lookman is in red hot form like Osimhen and you should have played him in his natural position where he guarantees goals and good crosses for Osimhen. Look at how they combined at Afcon. I would have played Simon on the right. 4. When Osimhen got injured, it should have been a defender or a defensive midfielder like Alhassan and not an out of form Boniface who could hardly run on the pitch. 5: The high pressing style of the coach made our boys tire on time. Hence you need a strong bench to play like that for 90mins. The bench wasn’t rich enough and you could see the coach was not keen on making substitutions. 6: Ekong is no longer very fast. He is a good defender but would struggle against a fast attacker and I understand that was the reason you played Samuel Osayi close to him to protect him. Our opponent understood this and that was why they kept attacking from that side which sadly paid off for them. Always protect him with Onyeka. All in all, Eric is an above average, decent and passionate coach who I believe would achieve great things with the team.He needs to work well in conjunction with his Nigerian assistants and ensures he invites only the best players for the team. Mad people dey Nigeria. We dey complain say Ekong lacks pace. Now see suggestion that we should bring back Balogun who when the Oyibo wall was in place was slower than Ekong.

Mujtahida:After two matches, you can't conclude. He didn't even lose any of the matches. It's funny that I, who never supported Chelle in getting the job, have to defend him from you people who celebrated his appointment all over the place. |

Mujtahida:Slower but better than Ekong with his feet on the ball...Osas Obayiuwana is a respectable sports journal man with stint in CAF and FIFA so he sabi wetin he dey talk.....fact,eagles need ball playing CB to compliment Bassey and I don't mind having Olisa Ndah or any ball playing CB,I don't know much of Ogbu. Going into archive....Christian Chuckwu a libero with Tunde Bamidele a stopper...Keshi/Eboigbe...Uche Ikechuckwu/Chidi Nwanu....Uche Okechukwu/Taribo West....Yobo/Danny Shittu...Omeruo/Oboboana....Balogun/Ekong Last Afcon we have 3 brawlers as CBs in Ekong,Ajayi and Bassey in 3-5-2 and reason why our possessive football was poor even against weaker opponents Chelle 4 at the back need ball playing CB to connect the middle not two raw CBs |

Finidi Eguavoen Chelle If they had just gotten a permanent manager after Peseiro, like Herve Renard, we would be top of that group by now. Mtchew. No coach for Falcons o. If they have s terrible outing in the wafcon they'll begin to run helter skelter, talking to the press asif dem sabi better thing. Incompetent lots. |

Goke7:Exactly. I was indifferent about his appointment, and acknowledge that he made some mistakes, some of which the poster highlighted, but any sincere person can see what the coach was trying to do tactically. I sincerely see his vision and what he's trying to do with the team, I however think he has a personnel problem as some of the boys in the team can't bring that vision to fruition. It's hope to him now to go scorched earth, scout and select the right players who fit his model instead of making accomodations for some while playing his best players out of position. I look forward to how he addresses this in the next games become drawing conclusions, but if he gets personnel right, he sincerely is on the right track. |

Odunayaw:Did I said over look defensive ability? My point you can't be defending alone without knowing how to use the ball effectively. Most coaches preferred having both but in a situation where one cannot get it,then you look for CB with good positional play with ball sense and pair him with defensive ability defender to balance things up. |

lovewins:It's what some of us have always said here, that the free-flowing football Nigerians desire from the Eagles, we don't have the players to execute such, but Nigerians want to see that free-flowing play by force by fire, whether we have the players or not. From the way the coach was committing the players too forward in the first half with their high line play, I was so scared that a swift counter from the opposition would have seen us conceded which almost happened but do I blame him, he was simply looking for early goals to punish the Zimbabweans like he did in Rwanda, how is that a sin on his part for Christ sake. You're playing at home and you simply need goals, simple. The coach surely has a different footballing ideology from his predecessors, which is why his appointment was hugely celebrated in the first place. Now we are changing our mouths, haba! People are now saying he needed to put in more bodies, the same bodies that Paseiro put and we complained that he was too defensive, I just tire for us honestly. |

Daejumong:If we surprise the South Africans by playing 3-4-3 we stand a chance against them on their turf & we would not concede They would be shocked that we switched formation 3-4-3 has been saving our defense It hides our flaws Especially with Onyeka in the team I hope they invite Uche too, players that can create goals by themselves because we do not have team cohesion like the South Africans do Arokodare & Boniface are not those types of players to force gameplay I wish Orban was in form I don’t know the 2nd or 3rd strikers that would be invited next, but the coach has to be very selective about it. We need fighters that can dictate the tune of the game or force gameplay not necessarily players who operate in a working team structure My opinion They can still qualify if NFF release a merit list & get everything done properly Invite take the bull by the horn type of players & end that corruption list We really need our best legs I hear FIFA will still hammer South Africa for fielding an ineligible player even though Lesotho withdrew their complaints Lesotho may be penalized too for corruption issues for doing that lol Still a rumour though Chelle doesn’t know most of our players & their abilities I think NFF needs to regularly advise the coach on the best players for each position Fielding Lookman in the wrong operating position Not giving Onyemaechi game time Aina is a better RB than LB Chelle chose to always start & accommodate players he seemingly has a good relationship with .eg. Moses, Chukwueze. Lookman should’ve been on the left, he needs space to operate Obvious errors NFF also need to carefully look at the referees in our games, the last one didn’t give us a clear penalty won |
