Ogbu Igoh is heading to Lique 1 with Lyon.

Dude is good enough to start as CB in the SE setup.
Can he distribute long balls like Ekong does
Can he build from the back like Ekong does ?
Can he pose serious threats to the opposition in setpieces?
We need our best legs ready in September
Time will tell

If we won the game nobody will bother much about change of positions or substitutes. We are all just suffering from the pain of the match result. We will rather be celebrating Chelle and be abusing previous coaches if we had all the maximum points, I know us very well
If but the reality is that we did not win. BTW even in the game against Rwanda, fans still complained about playing Aina at LB in of his natural position.

I agree with the spirit of your post D'Law but like I commented earlier the coach playing Aina at LB looked seemingly justified with his assist for Victor's goal.

So maybe it might be the pain of the result making us say he's not 'tactically sharp.

Funny thing is if he had used his subs exactly how he did against Rwanda we would have gotten a result in the Zimbabwe game.
My brother, I wasn't comfortable seeing him. play Aina on the left even in the first match. Aina is the best RB in the EPL for God's sake. Why short change him just so you can play a mediocre Osayi on the right? Well as Aina gave an assist on the left, na so Osayi assisted Zimbabwe on the right.

What if it’s something agreed by the coaching crew and players. It’s not today eagles coaches switch positions of players and Chelle won’t be the first eagles coach to do such, Tijani babangida said in an interview how bonfere Jo switched his position against South Africa in Afcon 2000 and we were 2-0 up in first half. So it’s nothing strange and if the game in uyo ended 1-0 not many will bothered now about changing of positions
I was bothered in the first match and I dreaded seeing it happen in the second match and it happened.

Tijani was played on the left for purely tactical reasons and it was just that one time. Chelle was going to station Aina on the left.

Why? Why? Why? He's the best RB in the EPL and we play him on the left and manage Osayi on the right. Why not play him on the right where we get juice out of him and then some also from Bruno. Osayi is a mediocre defender.

Honestly I wasn't comfortable with players playing out of position. Even Lookman was played out of position. At least five players were played out of position.

It is just like saying, leave Super Eagles matter, it is spent.

I will say this with every insight that i have gathered from my studies of the Super Eagles team:.
Kelechi Nwakali is needed more than Eberechi Eze in the Super Eagles. He is more important.
Believe it or not believe it.
I look forward to the day this Nwakali obsession will die on this thread

Nwakali in SA would have been better than Nwakali in English division 3.

I don't know why a Portuguese div one player wil join English division three..... Nwakali need to get it right. He can only get invitation on sentiment just like having Papi Daniel.AE did it for him in Afcon 2021.

But guess what, during international break, English third tier clubs are busy so better for Nwakali to sort things out,his talent is above division 3.
how is his talent above division 3? I’m not sure he has ever transferred for money, most times they always let him go on a free. Do you know how crazy it is that European clubs don’t even think getting a fee for you is worth it??

https://scorenigeria.com.ng/exclusive-nigeria-cry-foul-to-fifa-over-lesotho-zimbabwe-playing-in-south-africa/
It is not politics, it is the rule of the game. It happened to us. So NFF did the right thing. The expectation is that 3 points will be deducted and that is the reason why our players are saying all hope is not lost. Minus 3 pts and us winning all the games mean qualification. Winning SA away is a difficult task but not impossible.

South Africa has a whopping +5 goal difference, and that's my real worry.

Their 13 points haul will be reduced to 10 points when FIFA deducts 3 points for their fielding of an ineligible player. (I'm confident this will happen).

Also, SA's goal difference will take a hit with 3 goals deduction and reduce to +2.

With 10 points, if SA wins three matches of their remaining four matches (I assume they'll lose against us), they'll be on 19 points.

If the Super Eagles win all their four remaining matches, which includes beating SA in their home, we'll be on 19 points too.

In my mind we can defeat Benin Republic at home. Lesotho away and Rwanda at home....,and it must be done handsomely..

Anyhow e wan be, we must pick 3 points against South Africa.

Ultimately, it'll boil down to goal difference so we must score goals.

Is this doable and possible, emphatically YES.

There's still that glimmer of hope so I ain't giving up yet.

Tedium lies the road to success and like 2baba go talk, if e easy na set up.

Believe.

That is good but my reservation isn't about their position in the league but the news earlier in the year about their imminent demotion to ligue2/3 due to financial problems.
