On The Killing Of Hausa Hunters In Edo by Gagare1(op): 10:51pm On Mar 28, 2025
I came across this barbaric act on one of our Hausa Unity groups; where Hausawa share any information that affects Hausa (and strictly Hausa) people, without considering religion.

The people killed were Hausa hunters returning home for Sallah celebration. Those guns are dane guns which every licensed hunter is permitted to own (even you can get one if you want). So for those trying to rationalize the brutality meted on those people by making reference to the guns, your argument is flawed.

The hunters were traveling in broad daylight, without expecting anything bad to happen, because they thought people are sensible enough to know danger when they see it. They believed that they were not a threat to anyone. They were wrong, because sense has since left certain places (Uromi in this case).

If indeed they were kidnappers, would they have submitted to the vigilante for checks? And when the guns were discovered, would they have allowed themselves to be killed without killing as many as their guns can take down?

Edo state should await the decision of the Hausa mother group. This matter will be approached and resolved completely, legally of course. We have been seeing videos of Edo people harassing Hausawa simply because they are Hausawa. Personally, I was treated unkindly by the same people of Uromi in 2020 when I was traveling to Asaba from Auchi. My crime? Being Hausa.

And please, DON'T bring Fulani Terrorists into this matter. Hausawa were killed, not Fulanis.
Don't kill Hausawa for the crimes of Fulanis in your lands. You will not be excused.

Why is Fulani's protesting instead of Hausa's?
Why were they armed?
Why didn't them go with any security agencies as license because of their arms?
Where have you condemned Fulani ethnic cleansing?
Una just dey open mouth waa they talk anyhow!

People who appear innocent are the most dangerous. I do not trust those people.
Re: On The Killing Of Hausa Hunters In Edo by Gagare1(op): 7:59am On Mar 29, 2025
And who told you the protesters are Fulanis? You saw it on Nairaland (I bet you). Hausawa were the protesters not Fulani. It is thunder that will scatter the idiot that posted Fulanis as the protesters (probably a Fulani man).

The arms were licensed and approved for any licensed hunter. You can get one too if you like, nobody is stopping you.

Did you even listen to the third question you asked? Please read that question again, slowly this time.

You clearly need to research before asking your fourth question. My profile is there for you.

Make you stop to dey open mouth waa! dey yarn dust.

If people are killed or spared based on our opinions about them and not based on established facts, then we are undone. This is the same mindset that drives terrorism worldwide.

Kill them because I don't trust them.

Kill them because I don't like them.

Kill them because they look strange.

Kill them because I don't know them.

Kill them because someone said (without proof) that they are this or that.

I am terrified even describing such insanity.

I don’t support the killing of any Nigerian, but I think if they have show them some bush meat may be that would have serve as evidence that they are truly hunters, may the peace of God return to our land
Re: On The Killing Of Hausa Hunters In Edo by Gagare1(op): 8:32am On Mar 29, 2025
We have Hausa farmers in the South, but the crops the produce are sold there and not transported back home. Same with Hausa fishermen who sell their catch in the markets where they fish. The hunters usually sell their game in the markets as well, because many Southerners like bush meat, and they pay handsomely for bush meat (more than Northerners). So hunting in the South is actually quite lucrative. That is why my people travel down there to hunt game and sell.

Amen to your prayer for peace.

I remember when 12 traders from Yoruba land had their throats cut by bandits when they traveled to the Niorth to buy foodstuffs and I also remember the savage and brutal killing of Deborah Samuel for which nobody has been brought to justice today, even though the perpetrators filmed themselves chanting Allahu Akbar as they smashed heavy rocks on her head before setting her on fire.
I don't feel one drop of sympathy for animals.

Re: On The Killing Of Hausa Hunters In Edo by EJEGBULEJE: 9:45am On Mar 29, 2025
We strongly condemn the heinous extra-judicial killing of about 20 hunters in Uromi, Edo State. These innocent individuals were brutally murdered while traveling from Port Harcourt to Kano for Sallah celebrations. The fact that they were labeled as kidnappers and subsequently killed by a mob is a gross miscarriage of justice.¹

We urge the Federal Government and the Edo State government to take immediate action to ensure that justice is served. A thorough investigation must be conducted to identify the perpetrators and bring them to book. It is unacceptable that such a gruesome incident can occur without consequence.

President Bola Tinubu has already condemned the act, describing it as "dastardly" and directing the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security agencies to launch a thorough investigation.² We commend the President's swift response and expect the government to follow through on its promise to ensure justice.

The Northern States Governors Forum has also condemned the killing, describing it as "unacceptable" and a "gross violation of human rights".³ ⁴ We echo their sentiments and demand that the government takes concrete steps to prevent such incidents in the future.

We will not let this matter be swept under the carpet. The families of the victims deserve justice, and we will continue to demand accountability from the government.

I have said this many times and without mincing words, History has not been fair to Nigerians.

Hausa's are not Fulani's.

Hausa's are not Fulani's.

Hausa's are not Fulani's.

Task yourself to learn about your country and it's people. Travel to other parts of the country with a clean heart that's willing to learn.

You know so much about British History, London bridge and co but know little about your own motherland. What a shame! cry
Re: On The Killing Of Hausa Hunters In Edo by dederocs(m): 1:24pm On Mar 29, 2025
Hunters are not permitted to move in large groups with guns across regions.

Do southern hunters come to the north with guns?

Thousands of southerners have been killed in the south by fulani and their brothers from Chad and Niger, they have sorrounded our forests, kidnapping , raping and killing at will and none of you demons have raised a topic about it, what are they doing in southern forests...talk about this in your chat group.

Northerners should hunt in their forests, leave us alone.

Tell them in that group, all Hausas or fulani must leave the forests of the south, the people are fed up. Fulanis or Hausas don't have monopoly to kill.

You said it was Hausas killed, why were fulanis protesting?

You see this Nigeria, E no balance. See as social media dey active since the incidence of these Fulani or Housa men.

But is it not this same social media we have been complaining of Fulani Herdsmen raping and killing farmers and kidnapping in our farmland. Some persons has abandoned their farmland because of the fear of herdsmen.

Everyone kept quiet they don't care, but today it affect an Housa Fulani man, Social media is active.

If these men killed are innocent, may they rest in peace including the women and men the Fulani Herdsmen has killed in our farmland Amen.

Sadly Hasuas who are mostly very peaceful and very artisan by nature are now paying for the crimes of the Fulani who are mainly the bandits, terrorists and kidnappers ravaging the whole nation...you see why the Hausa/Fulani tag in the name of "one North" has done more disservice than good to the Hausas. Even the Hausas communities across the North have been ravaged by Fulani banditry with many displaced and killed.

For the Southerners know your enemies- the Hausas aren't your enemies but the Fulanis, it's very easy to tell both tribes from each other by their phenotypical features. The North has hundreds of tribes, not everybody from there is "Fulani" by default.

Maganarka haka take. Mutanenmu suna bukatar su waye, su kuma bude idanu. Indeed, I agree that our people approach life with such dumbness, you begin to wonder which kind brain we get.

Ai the leaders, being Fulanis don't give a damn what happens to the people. Infact, they prefer our people to remain dumb and uneducated in order to minimize the emergence of people like you and me, who are beginning to question certain things. When people are impoverished and uneducated, they are easier to control.

Wallahi muna da aiki sosai a Kasar Hausa. The backwardness in our land is being engineered by the people we trust and follow blindly.

The first step in dealing with this issue is to draw a hard line between the hausas and the fulani. Terms like hausa-fulani should be abolished.

You're either hausa or fulani so other tribe can be certain of where you stand in case of war.

We are working tirelessly to clarify to people that Hausawa and Fulani were NEVER one, are NEVER one, and will NEVER be one. And we hope this separation will happen peacefully, even though very unlikely.

Now, in the unpleasant event that sai mun yi kare jini biri jini da Fulanin nan, muna shirin ko ta kwana. Za su kwashe kashinsu a hannu.
