Most (if not all ) Atheists speak evil about religion; condemn all religions as if only religious people are committing all the evil in the world .

Recently, I read a book written by an atheist and the author took time to explain why religion is evil and how it is unsafe for the world .
And yet the same author printed out some reasons why some people embrace religion as follows :the need to be cared for ,the need to be helped ,the need for love and the satisfaction that comes from knowing that someone (God) cares for you ; all of which atheism ironically has no replacement for .
(not even its organised system can replace that ).

Many people find comfort and help from their various religious groups .
they get supported with money to pay school fees ,medical fees ,marriage or naming ceremonies ,food stuff etcetera .
The atheists community might be able to replace or replicate these within their comrades but they can't replace the inner satisfaction that comes with knowing that there is a higher entity up there who would be there for you in the darkest moments of your life or in a situations you might not be able to tell anyone .

(Some people are going through some sort of problems which they wouldn't want to tell anyone because they've experienced how helpless and hopeless a man could be sometime even in the face of the world's most sophisticated systems and channels of help because their problems seems to defy very solutions men have provided )

The level of evil and injustice that goes on in this world is a clear reflection of how unbearable and painful living in this world would have been without God for many people of faith .

There are many people who have been unjustly dealt with even in the western or the so-called civilized world ,and these people have resorted to trusting in God when it became obvious that the system of the world would most times favour those with privileges; and at the end they saw themselves come out victorious because an invisible entity who has power beyond the corrupt and imperfect system of this world came to their aid.

There are many atheist who will read this article or post of mine who wouldn't be able to beat their chest that they had never been unjustly dealt with or cheated or stole from and had to resign to faith .


Can atheist provide justice for every single injustice or error or sin mated against humanity ?

Do humans have the capacity to handle every circumstances of life without having to deal with unintentional human error .
Like .


Many people are currently in jail who were wrongly but unintentionally assume for have committed crimes they never did ; how would such people get justice if there is no God who sees beyond the natural and has the capacity to judge and reward , acquit or condemn in the after life ?

These are some of the issues atheism and ( a world without God or a spiritual judge ) can dealt with .

How would a thief who never got caught be punished for his evil ?

How much evil can a CCTV camera capture if there is no spiritual entity who can see beyond the reach of men into the secrets of dark places ?

These are some of the problems and inadequacy a world without a higher spiritual being can't handle .


Atheist are committing crimes the same way religious people are doing .
China has a large atheist population and an atheist friendly government and yet it has records of human rights abuses .

America ,UK, Germany and France all have a growing atheist communities and yet the immorality and crime rates is nothing to write home about .

If you say all religions are evil because of what religious people are doing then tell us how atheism is devoid of evil because of what atheists are doing right .

None of what I've just said amounts to this weird conclusion you've arrived at. If you're not clear on something, you can always ask, instead of making things up in your head. Because right now you just sound like you're trying to twist my words and make up nonsense instead of actually addressing what I said.

My words were very clear. The first thing I said is that: Religion has no bearing on morality. What that means is that our capacity of doing good or bad is not dependent on religion. If that was true, then there'd be no pastors who scam. There'd be no scandals about people who believe in God, just like Oluwatimilehin Ajayi. But the evidence shows that belief in God doesn't equate to having high morals standards.

I also said that Christians "pretend" to be morally superior. Not that they're actually morally superior. Learn the difference. When atheists like us do good to others, we don't do it because we're expecting compensation or reward, but we do it because such acts are beneficial to our growth and social development as a species. The same can't be said for you guys. Without your Bible, you don't know your left from your right. You can't tell the difference between your mouth and your anus. And that's why atheists are technically better in that regard: We don't need the threat of hell or the promise of heaven to know what is right and what is wrong. That's what I meant when I said you guys "pretend" to be morally superior, even though you guys are actually very bankrupt morally. Most atheists in my experience are honest enough to admit they're flawed morally.

I'll speak for myself and myself only. Whenever I point out injustices in the society like discrimination, bigotry, tribalism, police brutality and so on, I'm not positioning myself as a paragon of morality. I can, and have been hypocritical in the past. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't care about the very real consequences that some actions have on people. If I shot a member of your family, obviously you'll be in pain, because of the familial bond and relationship. It's that simple.

Helpless humans can be if they do not have certain advantages like power,money influence authority .

I have received injustice. I just shrug my shoulder and move on. I don't hope on any sky daddy to help out. Many a times I get justice. All without hoping or praying to any god.

I have shown on many threads the crime rates of religious countries against relatively irreligious countries. The more religious a country is, the more tendency to crime. I'm sure you didn't make your research before creating this post

Are you aware the more religious countries have more crime?
You pointed at China and ignored the fact Nigeria has a higher crime rate than China. Netherlands have almost empty jails yet they are less religious than Nigeria and other religious countries.

Atheists condemn religion not people, and rightly so! Religion has instigated hate and division amongst humanity. Maybe u can research on Great Crusade, Huguenot Wars, Salem Witch Trials etc and see the damage religion has wrought on us.

What do you think could motivate you as an atheist to do good to your enemy who apparently seek your hurt even your death ?

These people you talk about could learn on the sacrificial lifestyle and death of Jesus to bless their enemies .
