Chimzy09:I am not sure , many people on the italy visa section received visas after the expiration of their travel dates. In otherwords, the travel insurance is a support document that the embassy needs to see irrespective of the lateness of trip, you can still be granted a short or extended visa. People can testify to this. |
Hello All! I am applying Schengen visa for the first time. Instead of any agent I want to apply by myself. Is there anyone here who can help me and can guide me. Agents are charging too much. I will appreciate everyone helping. Thank you in advance. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by hunee: 9:04am On Mar 25, 2025 |
You can apply yourself by reading through last 10pages on here. You did help yourself through intentional research work. Agents can charge you any amount they like , even abroad , they charge too. It is up to you to decide. That being said, Please do some research. Goodluck

|

Yu did well with the documentation. Please understand that visas are approved at the discretion of a consular and not at the influence of any corresponding party. These documents are very ok, though we can not ascertain their substantiveness. I can understand your pain but let us do this. Appeal this visa refusal to clear their doubts and have it documented, then build your travel history by visiting more countries. Probably after 2 months, you can apply again for schengen. This is a technical advisory. If you wish to apply for an appeal, you can do it by writing the mail of the embassy or via post to nantes, france. Enokela34: |

My Abuja appointment was March 24, I booked it February 18. Frequent traveller. That was the earliest date available. So I assume there’s a 5-week gap for appointment booking for frequent travellers in Abuja. And yes, you’re absolutely right about TLS. I initially applied in December hoping to travel in January but the earliest appointment I could get was February so I had to fill a fresh application. hunee: |

I have a question please. I plan to apply to travel to France. My proposed travel date will be in July. However my documents/ bank statement will not be ready until May end. I am reading on here that the wait time for biometric is long. Is it possible to book for biometric in advance before submitting my documents? Or all my documents must be ready for submission before I can book an appointment for biometric ? If its like that, Do we think its feasible to submit in May end, do biometric afterwards and get the result of visa outcome by mid July? |

Good day everyone. Please I am to leave for France on the 21st of June. However my interview date was scheduled for 17th of June. Please I want to know if the visa response would be ready before my departure date. If not, what can I do? Thank you |

If you are a frequent traveler, no wahala. But if you are a first timer, dont do this. CGEH: |

hunee:Even some frequent traveller we recently saw their visa approval post, their application spent like 3weeks. Probably there is high traffic during this time. When I put in an application in Nov. I got biometrics appointment just 3 days after. A frequent traveller I assisted in booking an application earlier this month, there was more than 2 weeks ahead before I could get a biometrics slot. So there's most likely a surge this period. And also weekend may affect processing period. I think he should plan that the application will stay longer. |

hunee:This is my first time. What can I do? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mrbourdillon: 3:03pm On Mar 29, 2025 |
CGEH:There needs to be a gap of at least 4 weeks (preferably 6 weeks) between your biometrics appointment date and your date of travel. The official guidance on their website is 15 working days (3 weeks) however I was told at my appointment this week that it would take a month. My sister (frequent traveller) waited 4 weeks for her passport to come out in January. She got 3 years. Anyone whose passport comes out in less than 3 weeks during this period (April to September ) should consider themselves lucky. There is definitely a surge because most Dubai vacation travellers are rerouting to Europe since the UAE restrictions. France allows you to apply 6 months before your travel date. So don’t hesitate to just book your appointment as early as possible. |
