Following the debate on BA.

And just like a previous poster mentioned, I believe both parties have a point. @hannania has been super helpful with information and as stated it's from experience.
However, there may have been a change cos I was preparing my €13k to transfer once on Fintiba when I saw someone's message on the thread that we can now do half. Within 24hrs of that person's post I saw a doc for me on the app also directing me to pay half the amount. On The Fintiba app it was not possible prior to that message to edit the amount for the BA, it just had the €13k+ but after the directive the 6M amount was on there and then you can edit it if U wanna do 1yr.

Now I switched to Expatrio per Hannania's advice and after confirming Fintiba needs one to explain source of funds which will prolong the process. And when I registered on Expatrio it also allowed me do 6 months.

So while they turned people back in January for 6M funds, they may have changed the rule this March which is when the 6M funds came into play. Who knows 🤷🏾‍♀️ time will tell..

While I've uploaded my BA contract, my take away is to keep the balance ready in the event I am asked to make it up.

Pls make we take am easy. Nobody fit know everything. Let's share and learn from each other.

And abeg make nobody make hannania vex cos the dedication to answering questions and giving authe info is top notch 👍🏾
Thank you. Emphasis on the last sentence. She's been a godsend.

What is "Serious fetility crisis"?
Guess it means the low birth rate experienced in those countries ie their citizens no dey born!- are not giving birth at all or birthing just one or 2 kids which invariably leads to a decline in their workforce

You're in a position of strength, having full BA and trying with half.. for somone who has just half and tries and eventually gets rejected, they'll now delete the application 30 days after if it's not done. That's the deadline they gave in Jan/Feb. So I'll advise those who don't wanna take risk and not having the other half not to try it if they're not ready to wait another one year to submit applications again. Time is of the essence when it comes to German applications.

Good points btw.

Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Dikaaachi: 1:16pm On Mar 30, 2025
No. What I mean is what if one gives me an appointment letter from his company in Germany, can It fly in my application process instead of using block account or sponsorship letter

You can only use a work contract, and the salary must be at least 1091 euros. Note that it has to be a maximum of 20 hours per week. If you have a full job offer, just apply for a work permit from here. You need €48k for a Bluecard or €43k gross if you're in IT or a bottleneck profession

I'm in Nigeria, so a friend was suggesting if he can get an offer for me from a company in Germany because a sponsorship letter is kinda difficult getting. Do I still need a block account? Or a sponsorship letter? For chancerkerte

Please what do you mean, I still need €48k or €43k if am an IT.

Read what I stated again. You can use only a work contract from a company in place of sponsorship letter or Block account. You can't work full-time on the chancenkarte, only 20hrs per week. So get a work contract if you can

Students still have 20hrs a week. The chancenkarte is a visa issued to you for one year to look for a full time job in your field. Ideally, you shouldn't be allowed to work 20hrs a week and that's because you're meant to come in with a means of livelihood either €13,092 or a sponsorship letter that covers the same amount. The former Job seeker visa which was reformed to chancenkarte does not allow you to work while looking for a job, and it was for only 6 months.

So I don't see the scam you're talking about here

Hello everyone, so I have been stocked in the stage of providing my proof of funding. The person I have been banking on to assist with either a declaration of commitment or block account funds is not seeming to be responsive. Does anyone know of a legitimate means I can access to lend the funds to be blocked? Treat with urgency please, thanks!
I have someone that can help with this

If you're using a point based system, you'll be asked to bring proof of employment from your employer
I got 6+ points, do I still need to submit ZAB report and IELTS? Or I can just proceed to booking an appointment?

Go and register and input your details on the score counter. You'll then see all the required documents needed on your portal.
I got 6+ up on completing my details but I didn't see the required documents.

If your degree is on Anabin and your university is H+, you don't need those. I

From the screenshot, I think as a skilled worker, one doesn't need IELTS. You only need IELTS for the point-based application?

The question is what qualifications do you have that qualifies you as a skilled worker. So you don't waste time and at the end you need ZAB
