It's a huge lie. 7Billion in 1995 is like 700Billion today. The singer should be arrested immediately for telling useless lies!
I wouldn't be surprised if someone should say he's a child of god and born anew, so he's incapable of lying.

Even children in karatu lose concentration and vibe to his songs that worship Jesus , many Muslims were attendkng christian program that this man was to perform ...some got converted.

It was even Same reason Reinhard Bonnke the gospel evangelist stop going to the north , the Muslims complain then that his miracle was getting Muslims t convert to Christianity... Infact his last program in kano couldn't hold that he left at the airport without his shoes when the Muslims went for killing spree to protect against this man ...it was bloody , many southerners were killed ...go and verify please ...
Muslims hate Christians mostly in the north
Stop spreading false propaganda, i lived in the north for years in the 90s, there are many Christians and churches in many parts of northern states. When foreign evangelicals came to the north they perfectly their crusade for days… problem usually arises when some of the Nigerian missionaries started using Islam to catch cruise in their sermons on stage, even at the crusades in Lagos it was open games for them because s/western Muslims didn’t bother themselves about it so much!

Seems you are a Yoruba Muslim.
This man's Hausa gospel songs was the rave of town then for all religions , it drew many Christians closer to God and made some Muslims to partook in christian programs this ma wants to perform.
He was not blaspheming, but his hausa songs became a household thing and may northern Muslims were not happy hearing their children sing songs that glorifies Jesus at home
So because children from Muslim homes were singing his songs that’s why their elders went on a killing spree? Stop lying meeen! In those days there were many gospel singers that Muslims listened to and enjoyed their songs (Sony Okosun, Panam, Felix Okotie, Funmi Aragbaiye, Onyeka, etc). I guess no Christian was left alive then if Muslims went around killing people because of these artists’ musics!

There is one of Panam's earlier albums where in one of his songs, he goes into a monologue where he describes how God called him into the music ministry.

Now he could have signed the deal, but many people would have called him a hypocrite.

One of the early pop stars in the USA was previously a gospel singer. He then signed a deal, recorded secular songs for about six years (some of which are very iconic pieces of music in the USA)...but was regarded by many christians there as a hypocrite and a sellout.
If your conscience is clear then you need not worry, making money comes with all these criticisms

Secular musician face fierce criticisms too

THIS IS VERY CORRECT...
HE WOULD DENY THAT HE GOT MOST OF HIS MELODIES FROM WHAT HE TERM "SECULAR" MUSIC...

I would have agreed with you there...but the thing is at one point in the early 1990's, Panam was singing the theme tunes for some 'secular' soap operas on NTA...soaps like Supple blues and Change (yes the fact I can recall that means that I am in my nineties...lol).

Even some of his popular christian music songs have some secular influences (eg I've made up my mind has some influences from South African popular music by way of Paul Simon's graceland album...listen to You can call me al, and then if you have heard some of PPP's numbers from the early 90'\s they sound very fammiliar).

So, won't be surprised if he wasn;t having secular labels chasing after him.

And it's not the first time...many secular singers 'started in the church' (the USA Is particulary 'notorious' for that.)[/quote]

Going by all these information, it's means he wasn't naive after all, why then did he turn down multimillion naira contract over a trivial issue such as reducing the number of times he mentions Jesus

Baba , don't doubt , go verify...
His song was a household thing then ...there are many devilish Islamic fanatic in the north , they were not happy because it made Christianity more interesting to the Muslims. It is also thesame reason a US Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke was stop from coming to the north for crusade , each time he comes , he performed genuine miracles and draws many Muslims to Jesus and some even got converted , these same Muslims fanatics were so bothered when he was coming to a crusade in Kano and they started killing Christians that they don't want to Evangelist in Kano because he crusade in Kaduna got many miracles and have many Muslims converts to Christianity ... Baba , it was bloody ...when the Evangelist left Kaduna and arrive Kano airport , he got the news that Muslims youths are already killing Christians because of his crusade , he off his shoes drop it at the airport and left , since then he never come to the north again for his crusade ... It was rough , on no provocation , some northern Iman would just preach nonsense to instigate his followers in the mosque, the next thing is to visit nearby church and start killing Christians...so many I can still remember...even the Zango Kataf '92 , there was no provocation just because Christianity was striving in the north then... Even this Panam pacy Paul went blank for years , it was during democracy we started hearing from him ....
During those period, walahi if I were to be a Muslim in the north , I would hate my religion...the hatred for Christianity was too obvious among Muslims ... The hatred is still there now , but it has reduce ....thats the main reason Baba Tinubu has to pick a Muslim from the north , because of he had pick a northern Christian on the basis that he is a Muslim, he would have lose woefully in the north...only those that have stayed or living in the north would understand this ...same reason Obi did very well in northern states dominated by Christians and if not for rigging by APC and PDP , the Labour Party could have gotten up to 5 states in the north because the northern Christian feel oppressed as it has always been... May God unite Nigeria ...Nigeria has never been one

I had already replied you previously,
Is either you were part of those musims fanatics or you are lieing to have live in the north ...The Kano , Kaduna christians killings I witnessed there was no tantrum from the Evangelist against Muslims... Even the Zango Kataf killings and many others , there was nothing of such against Muslim ...infact there was one Iman who was chased from Lagos , he came to Kaduna, his name is Rasheed Williams , he wanted to starts instigating the Muslims against Chriatians , it was even muslims soldiers from Ribadu Cantonment that went to arrest him , you are defending what you don't know ...no let God and those innocent souls vex for you o Baba.

I won't say it's a lie, because that will mean I am Omniscient which I am not.
I will only say.

IT IS DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE.
It is not just a lie but a blatant lie, that's if he really said that and not that his words were misinterpreted

It is easy to know a lie this huge even though we were not present or have evidence against it but please ask yourself these questions

1. How much would Michael Jackson be offered in 1995
2. How much would a Football star be offered to play for top Europe clubs in 1995
3. How many Cassette would be sold to make profit, if a record deal of £24 million is offered to a Gospel singer in 1995
4. How much sales do Gospel singers make in 1995
5. How much sales did he himself made in that year to have attracted such a huge amount
6. How much of illuminati was in existence in 1995 to have wanted the Name Jesus Christ to be omitted or reduced in a Gospel song

If he had said Today in 2025, Yes it is very believable with no doubt, even though Gospel music is not that big

I smell lies. Why would anyone care if you mentioned Jesus in your song. Na only you dey sing?

Many people failed to comprehend this statement. It's not that someone just offered him the money but that a record label gave him 3 years contract of N7b and one of the conditions is that he reduced mentioning the name of Jesus.
This is not the first time he revealed this and it is not an uncommon feature in this antichrist world.

Sir.
I believe the words I used is fair enough.
"Difficult to believe" means "unbelievable but not impossible."

Those are possible variables that should be looked into. And you have made a very strong argument that cannot just be dispelled.
Only him can ascertain whether or not it is true. I doubt it but I can pass a judgement. I would only be preemptive.

I WILL LIKE TO BE MODERATE IN THIS CASE LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS DONE IN ALL CASES.
Thanks.
