FG is building the airport at Abia not Abia State Governemnt. The governor have corrected bloggers tok many times about this.

So airport no be bad infrastructure in the first place? I think say ebony airport and anambra airports no get economic benefits for ordinary people like una talk!

We are happy with you that your home state from where you sojourned to Lagos has started progressing. Now we are seeing competition in progress especially among south east trying to put do one another. You have to specially thank president Tinubu who made it possible to increase revenue going to states for development purposes.

At this stage in the past, star like Abia and Enugu will get stucked at payment of salary and have little to nothing left for infrastructure development. But now, Tinubu has opened up creativity faculties of most states and also increase FG allocation going to state by 3. So thank Tinubu, then thank those of us that waged online war against ipob Monday

We can now see how imprison Kanu and Ekpa is now bringing development to south east. Nigeria government and Finland government should please release Kanu and Ekpa when they are old and inactive in causing trouble again to go hole and rest for their wasteful years on earth due to allowing Satan to use they distabilize south east.

Many governors over the years have been building airport....and honestly it kind of annoys me.

It would have been better to improve rail links between abia and Enugu and port Harcourt. Not build airport

I was in one airport in one small Northern state. The only flight for that day was the flight to Abuja that I was waiting for. That was all. How would that airport make a profit self.

Some people assume an airport in the state means development. Its crazy.

We need more viable and affordable transport systems. I've always believed that we only need 4 to 5 international airports in the country and 2 in each geopolitical zones. The entire country should be connected via railroad for easy movement.

It's so baffling. Last last it would end as uncompleted project

I remember serving in Nsulu games village at Isiala Ngwa , Abia 2005. I heard the orientation camp has been moved somewhere else

You are clueless about the issues like I said, do you know what Abians spend to have access to flight.

I spent over 30k for Airport taxi to take me home to Abia from Imo airport then on going back to I still spent more.

Having an airport will give relief to these issues and still give employment to youths and your silly self is here talking shit. Shift abeg

Honestly, it's only on nairaland I hear about sit-at-home these days. Yesterday, being Monday, I travelled to Onitsha from Owerri and no one harassed me for any reason

Onuigbo no be person abeg. He didn't fix any road all throughout his time as a house of rep member he had nothing to show, he's an Obuohia man and yet couldn't even bother to at least grade that century old road leading to the community. The funny thing is that the biggest pothole is right in front of his house, you need to see that place when it rains, you will be wondering if na truly a house of rep member get this house.
The sad part is that when the Eze of the community ( my father) was alive, he wrote pleas to the governor (Orji Uzor Kalu) to come and help do that road, the governor took interest because his chief catering officer was my dad's younger sister. The governor sent surveyors to and see what kind of work would be done there, immediately Iheanyi Onuigbo realised this, he connived with some bad people in the community and started opposing my Dad, they sent some youths to come assassinate my Dad and they almost succeeded if not for the lantern my dad used in blocking the machete strike, he got wounded though, just above his eyes. They scattered the palace and burned down our car but luckily everyone managed to escape. The governor became disinterested when he heard of the conflict in the community and that's how that road project was abandoned up till this very moment.
Even though the youths realised that they were lied to and used, it was already too late. My mom advised my Dad to not bother about that road again.

That bad road is the legacy of the evil things Iheanyi Onuigbo, ikengwaonu, Francis mpama and chimkwe Ayim committed in that community.

Tinubus money from Abuja working. Imagine if Obi was in Power. Abia State would have been owing workers salaries only to blame Buhari. Nigerians made the right choice in 2023.
