Then, why do you complain when they don’t? Or is there a special court where you can sue politicians for non-performance? Applauding them is a feedback tool; use it when appropriate.

Great.

If subsidy had continued, some of these projects wouldn't have got off the ground.
Most of these are Buhari's projects that were over 80% completed before Buhari left office over 2 years ago.

These governments are just SENSELESS AND/OR EVIL.

The most important project this country needs that will make it progressive is POWER (ELECTRICITY) and nothing more.

With electricity, a lot of other sectors will be fixed gradually.

The most important thing most Nigerians want is CONSTANT AND AFFORDABLE ELECTRICITY AND THIS NOT DIFFICULT FOR A SERIOUS AND SENSIBLE GOVERNMENT TO ACHIEVE WITH 2-4 YEARS.

All these useless project they're engaging in is just to steal more and will not really help the common man significantly.
Oga which electricity.

How many Nigerians are paying ?

With a lot of bypassing and tell me how will the company stand 🤔

We Always think of free things and amenities and we are quick to compare ourselves to developed world with stable electricity whereby they pay hell to enjoy them.

There is no place in the world where electricity is cheap

Kiss the truth

We thank God they did things differently. Imagine what hunger would have done to people
A responsible leader will balance things up. Physical and physiological infrastructure must go hand in hand. If you build infrastructure when people are dying of hunger, you are a brutal capitalist looking for cheap legacies. You will be remembered for your infrastructure and the graveyards like Joseph Stalin. A Federal Government that is worst than state government. The removal of subsidy enriched states but mysteriously impoverished the federal government. It took the cry of a corp member on social media to get their new allowance implemented. Other federal workers are roasting over unpaid benefits, fraudulent minimum wage and working conditions. Federal offices are largely empty due to retirements and lack of employment. Only politicians, their relatives and those who profiteer( business people who hike prices to the heavens) can praise the government. What is stolen is stolen and never legitimately gotten.

President Bola Tinubu’s administration, since assuming office in 2023, has focused on completing and expanding key road infrastructure across Nigeria.

While some of these projects began under previous administrations, the government has adjusted contracts, revised funding allocations, and set new timelines to accelerate their delivery.

Others have been newly awarded to improve connectivity, facilitate trade, and support regional development.

This article highlights 13 major road projects currently being executed under the Tinubu administration. While these are not the only ongoing projects, they represent significant infrastructure developments aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s transportation network.

The report outlines their scope, funding status, contractors, and projected completion timelines.

Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Dual Carriageway

The 164-kilometer Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano dual carriageway connects Abuja, Niger, Kaduna, and Kano states. Awarded to Julius Berger in 2017, the project stalled and remained incomplete until 2023.

In January 2024, Minister of Works David Umahi announced renewed efforts under President Bola Tinubu with a N20 billion monthly funding commitment. By March 2025, N17 billion had been released, with an additional N33 billion allocated.

The Federal Executive Council revised the project’s cost to N740.79 billion in September 2024 and approved N507 billion for the second section in March 2025. The road is now set for completion in 2026, easing transportation and boosting regional connectivity.

9th Mile-Oturkpo-Makurdi Road

The dualization of the 9th Mile-Oturkpo-Makurdi Road is a strategic project aimed at reducing travel time and improving connectivity between Enugu, Makurdi, Abuja, and northern Nigeria. In January 2024, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu authorized the release of funds for critical road projects nationwide, including this vital route.

The upgraded road will also provide an alternative cross-country link through Makurdi-Akwanga-Abuja, offering commuters greater convenience and a smoother travel experience. Once completed, the project is expected to boost regional trade, enhance logistics, and improve transportation efficiency across the country.

Thats one of the issue I have with halfwit like you. You assume everyone on this platform is pauperised just like you are.

Have you seen leaders in advanced climes celebrating infrastructure? What they brag about is the number of jobs they have created and how their policy has stabilize the macro-economy sphere such that their citizens are able to meet their aspiration.

Here idiot like you are celebrating road whose money was gotten from my backyard in the Niger Delta. Supporter of retrogression.

No govt in the history of Nigeria has done this type of projects at the same time. Imagine how Nigeria will be when all these projects are completed. Not to talk of the rail projects ongoing and the Abuja Lagos fastest tube train in Africa that will enable you travel by train from Lagos to Abuja in 2 -3 hours. The security of the roads will also be awarded to private companies who will use their own personnel and drones to ensure zero armed robbery or kidnap cases in any of the highways.

BAT has laid the foundation for the future Nigeria. If subsequent government can come in and build on it, Nigeria will surely take its place in the comity of nations.

But unfortunately our Ipobidients are blinded by this and their objective is not good governance or infrastructural development, but satisfying their sentiments. This is why they supported GEJ blindly despite the fact he did nothing for the SE or the country in 6 yrs. They also support PO who clearly was a failure in Anambra with no projects to show. They hate a Nyesom Wike who is unarguable the best political office holder in the history of Nigeria in terms of infrastructural development. They see his giant strides in Rivers and now Abj, but choose to turn a blind eye to it and support Fubara who is clueless.
big man mentality has finished our leaders. Who will these largely wasteful projects help in the real scheme of things. Hile roads are good, some are wasteful. There are other pressing issues that the fund on Lagos Calabar highway of fraud alone can handle.
Poor power allover. Healthcare, unfunded ASUU, corruption, industries.

Believe this lamba at your own peril. There's a reason it's not on mainstream media but sneaking through X and government papers and nairaland.

The one in my place was announced on FEC meeting last year. Nothing has been deployed to site till now. PMB also announced same road twice in 8 years and only did 20% with poor standard.
His successor has said he will continue from where he stopped and we know the results.

He should tar the road to people's stomachs else even if Oyetola (his cousin) becomes the INEC chairman he might not save him due to the high percentage that will vote against him

Know your geography well. We don't have bandits in the NE. We also need inter-state highways not those inner roads you listed. Pls if you have any influence, whisper to them to help us fix Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe. That's a 500km road that takes us 9hrs to ply cos of it's terrible condition. And that's the gateway to the NE from the Abuja and the southern states

Thank you sir.
Can you build 20,000MW Transmission Capacity Lines in just 4 years?

Can you build 20,000MW Generating Capacity in just 4 years?

Can you build efficient and properly functioning Distribution Capacity in just 4 years?

Do you know what it takes? The funding, the technical expertise, the training required?

Not to talk of EIA, Environmental Audits, Regulatory Hurdles, Vandals and Local Touts (Anything for the boys Settlements), Land Disputes, Compensation, Bribery and Corruption of Relevant Government Officials, apart from Opposition Parties engineering failure from the backdoor?

Talk is cheap sir! Until you get there you will never know. If you ever get there, just do your best and leave the rest to the next guy coming to the office.

Nigeria is do far back in development, there will never be a popular president for at least 20 years.

For the records, these are the major roads famously regarded as the Legacy Projects, among the 468 road projects across the country earmarked for construction, repairs and maintenance. Most impressively among the fun facts is the longest stretch of road projects ever by any Administration. These roads is approximately, over 2900 km stretch cumulatively, a bit less than 3,000km. These Projects cut across all the geopolitical regions as much as it would expand social economic growth of Nigerians with a corresponding growth in GDP.
By the time David Umahi's term is complete, I don't think there will be a debate or controversy in the Senate as to whether he deserves to be immortalized or not. The result speaks for itself.
