Kog45:Kanu's heart surgery issue raised his profile and popularity astronomically because of the miracle of his coming back to the game after such an incident. Remove that, and I agree with you that players like Odegbami, Siasia and even Amokachi were way higher than Kanu in terms of impact for the Super Eagles. |

MetalJigsaw:Let the Eagles players show workings on the pitch, that's all! What's the use of praying if you can't beat Zimbabwe and Rwanda at home |

Kog45:My logic is not about the averageness of our LB. My logic is that if you play Aina on the right, you utilize him at his best. See what eventually happened: we used Aina on the LB and got a goal but it was through the right side of our defense that Zimbabwe scored. |

Kog45:It's just 2 games but the CHAN team could use it as good exposure. Exposure also for Coach Daniel and Fidelis. With at least 5 games by the next round of qualifiers, Chelle could unearth someone useful for the SE |

It was highly irresponsible of Osasu in his capacity as a reputable journalist to make April fool pranks out of such a sensitive matter as Chelle's contract. He ought to be sensitive to the fact that bloggers will run with the news without recourse to the fact that it's just a prank. I just saw this news online 👇👇 https://bsnsports.com.ng/post/Eric-Chelle-Set-To-Terminate-Contract-As-Super-Eagles-Head-Coach |

Odunayaw:Another issue is that after that friendly, some of the players that participate might no longer be available for CHAN cus they would have gotten deals abroad... No matter how we look at it, NPFL players always use any national team call up as n opportunity to Japa... Our league is in shambles so everybody wants to move.... |

Odunayaw:Either that or hiring a better coach. This coach has a history of conceding late goals and he only seems to know about an all-out attack without knowledge or concern about defenseive approach. He also places too many of our players out of position |

Danielnino00:I have forgotten this angle ![]() I think CAF needs to change the eligibility rule for CHAN to accommodate players in any league in Africa and not just the home league. |

🇳🇬 Victor Osimhen in Nigeria 🆚 Victor Osimhen in Galatasaray 🇹🇷 Doing it for club and country! Most consistent! 😁🔥🇳🇬

MetalJigsaw:Piss one place make e foam boss. It is vanity to start asking why NFF can't afford Peseiro's ask. Maybe you can also tell us the better coach bearing in mind the purse |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Kog45(m): 10:42am On Apr 03, 2025 |
Mujtahida:Goals can come in from any sides but fact Osayi and Ekong are tired, expecting Chelle to move Aina to the RB and Bruno to kill the game with Osayi out but fact Ekong should have done better with Zimbabwe goal. Hope you remember Peseiro too preferred Aina as LB when Sanusi wasn't available during Afcon with Bruno in the team.....he put Osayi as RB and Aina as LB. I got your point, but a very solid LB in the team would not have been on the bench for right footer or possibly have not watched Bruno keenly. |

Daninya33:He better come to Nigeria , the earlier the better. He will be second choice to saka at arsenal. Saka in England is not a constant but still ahead of Ethan. So the earlier Ethan realizes this the better. |

Kog45:kanu was ridiculously good, a beauty to watch. Best Nigeria player in my book with 2 APOTY, hoping Osimhen equal that record. |

Kog45:I know what unity cup is and I remember Obafemi Martin's playing in the 2004 one, my point is that it doesn't make sense to use majority of home based players for the tournament only for them to be discarded. Taminu was getting regular call ups from Tanzania only to be ignored since moving to Crawley where he barely makes the team. Bameyi can only leave Yum Yum FC to Bayelsa despite taking spots that quality players would have taken advantage of. The likes of Lesotho, Rwanda and Benin won't callup their equivalent of Taminu, Papa Daniel or Bameyi in their national team as they will select the best players. I know it's a fun tournament but It doesn't make sense to me to have players we don't plan to integrate in the national team as the moment they sign for European clubs they are no longer considered for future callups. |

The same Skriniar who broke Osimhen's face in Serie A ( Napoli vs Inter) tackled him hard again yesterday in the derby match against Fenerbahçe. Osimhen didnt take it easy, he reacted angrily and they were both booked. He initially mistaken him for another player.

Karlovych:Play for england, no problem Play like Tammy and Tomori Or play to be a core full time player . I doubt it. Wouldn't be surprised if arsenal sells him to Brentford, palace or Newcastle. |

M7even:How many of them that agreed to play for us are core full time players, even Dessers has only 6 caps for the SE after 5 years. You want Nwaneri to accept Eagles call up only for Musa to be selected because of team spirit and leadership. |

opes:I don't think that what happened according to how I watched it, I think he wasn't reacting to the foul, he saw who fouled him. I think the other player he attacked said something annoying to him while he was on the floor. You know how Osimhen dey when them foul am na, he go dey ground for like 7 seconds before he stand up 😏 but yesterday he just sprang up as that guy bend towards am. Maybe that's what happened, maybe it wasn't, but that's exactly what it looked like... |

zicky:Leave them Let them keep arguing We saw him at Arsenal for 5 years & how he made most West Africans love Arsenal He won everything in club football He won u17 World Cup & Olympics with Nigeria Portsmouth haven’t won another FA cup till date Henry even stated he’s one of the most technically gifted African players he’s played with Nigeria can’t even qualify for Olympics these days Kanu’s 1999 hat trick against Chelsea is unmatched in his set Lookman comes close against Leverkusen |
