Na you get sense. So you don’t know people can sponsor one’s education? Did you know if his doctorate program was sponsored, I have a woman who has no job and she’s a doctor already. Her husband sponsored her. So, it can happen, Mr sense.

If he can descend so low to be working as a cleaner after obtaining a PhD, his qualification is questionable. I don't pity mediocre mindset like him. So after a PhD, he can't think out the box of what to do with his life other than being a cleaner and working with EBSU; not even starting extra moral classes with a PhD in Mathematics Eduction.

It's very clear that he's not the owner of those certificates you listed here.

What's the use of a degree, even first degree when you can't think?

Why do I say so?

What's the big deal about being called a lecturer or even a professor when you can't think easily of the best way forward for you.

Let's even agree with you that they refused to employ him as a lecturer for whatever reason, what about personal tutorials for students in year 1 to 4, let's leave masters students out of it.

With a moderate charges of 5k per month for a student and with 30 students, is that not 150k extra to his 70k cleaner salary.

If he's really a PhD holder, and teaches so well, it's the students that'll force him to drop that cleaner's job and they'll pay him by themselves.

Our education is useless, it has made everyone a slave to salary.

One thing is knowing how to make money from what you chose to study, and another one is to know how what you chose to study can solve a problem.

Unfortunately we are a country of certificates. With no recourse to how our certificate would add value.

Welcome to the nation where those with fake certificates are highly placed in our society, while those who toiled hard to achieve academic excellence are disconnected from good positions.

I believe the state governor should intervene in this matter and fix this man in a good position in the society...

Intervene to do what exactly? Is he the only Ph.D holder in the state and must he work at that particular university if he truly deserves to have a PhD? Dey there dey wait for people to employ you because you think you have a PhD, just because you hold a paper that says so.
Experience matters, not certificate. A brilliant Master degree holder will get a lecturing job in any university in Nigeria. We even have colleges of education that he can apply to to get the required experience and move from there.
I've not seen my certificates since 2021, but I've changed jobs twice. If you think you're entitled to a job just because you hold a certificate, sorry is your case.

Let them be asking questions like they are from the moon. I organized home lessons for several students in my days in the Uni. Even in secondary, I did greeting cards making and other related art works including photography, etc. I witnessed fellow course mates assistanting a fellow with his schooling expenses, the student only needed to reciprocate by assisting them academically.
Make them pray, make Nigeria nor happen to them.

Both the poster and the cleaner have the same mentality ... you cannot get a job unless you have connections. Nowhere in the write up did we learn of him applying for a position and being turned down. He has not applied for an academic position .....but is waiting to be converted.. The poster is leading the noisemakers for the university to convert him. What nonsense. If I'm a supervisor and have the qualifications for a manager ... the present manager suddenly quit ... would I be converted to manager? ... or the company will post the vacancy and have people apply? He is running around to make connections instead of applying....he must be a lecturer at that university or ... be a cleaner for life.
Even if he is qualified and applies ... great interview etc ...if the university is sound ... he will not get the job. A Prince has no respect in his hometown. In our society respect is given to people with plenty money and to people in higher positions or positions of power. He is known throughout the university as a cleaner .... which Nigerian will allow a man to put down a mop and have the gall to lecture to him? That cannot happen ...he will always be seen as a cleaner.
Lastly .... he is just another uneducated degree holder.

There are many private secondary schools in Abuja that can pay this man above 200k per month. Some even have accommodation...but the money will still not take care of you at the end of the month.

Most of these science courses teachers are somehow scarce here.

PH.D no be ordinary certificate. For the whole of una family, how many people get PH.D?

His decision to stay in EBSU as a cleaner is not alright to many. With a PH.D in Mathematics Education, Most Secondary Schools and even Tertiary Institutions will need his service.

So many people have gone far in life with CERTIFICATES even without knowing anyone.

All over the world, intellectualism is dying. That death rate is faster in Nigeria-so sad. Life was better when intellect of human was rewarded. YOu are even more desirable by your peers. Now machines and computers are smarter while humans are dumber.

But this story is not adding up. It's written there that he got cleaning job in 2007 but had to obtain his first university certificate (B.sc) in 2013. Graduating 2013 means he got admission either in year 2009 or downward. If so, how would someone who got admission in year 2009 or below start working in year 2007 in the same university. That means, he had been working in the school (2007) before getting admission and still working in the school while pursuing his post graduate certificates.

Laziness is a big disease, no matter the course you studied, if you can't think out of the Box to create job for yourself in Nigeria then you are a big waste to our society. Continue waiting for the government....
