My experience is a bit different.

She has money in millions but will never touch it. Will not invest, will not spend, just like to have it accumulating monthly interest. No wahala with that.

But help with home keeping na lie. She will never touch her money to help with anything in the house.

So, one can only start a business with renting a shop ?, despite the technological advancement we now have, with news of some businesses now going full Virtual or online, you mean to tell me that all those Universities ladies, selling Hair wigs, making hair for fellow students, selling shoes & bags, Foodstuffs, Glasses & Wristwatches all have shops, even Make-up artists don't necessarily need a shop today and they are all thriving

All you need is a well-setup online page, Whatsapp group, Instagram page, Facebook community or page, and you are good to go, they even reach more customers base than local shops these days

It's seems like you have comprehension issues, did you not read the OP's question. He asked her if #1m will be enough to set up a business with shop rent inclusive. Did you not read my reply? The money is more than enough WITHOUT having to rent a shop. I know someone who started her business in 2023. Shop rent of 2 years, agreement and commission consumed almost 400k. She had to paint the shop, tile the shop (I told her all that is not necessary for a rented shop but she no hear) install shelves, get a show glass, get a freezer and install burglary bars. How much do you think would be left of the ₦1m even after we've removed the unnecessary expenses like painting, tiling, show glass etc? In today's economic dispensation, it's very unrealistic to expect N1 million to rent and fully stock up a shop.
