I Dey talk premier league legacy you Dey talk another thing

BBC african player of the year come be like ballon d or for una eyes because he couldn’t win the apoty grin

Iwobi has a better premier league legacy than okocha ,I never said he should win the premier league ,not like iwobi won it ,so calm down

Impact by helping Bolton beat relegation, see standard wey una set for una jay jay ,even iwobi has helped Everton escaped relegation at some point 🤣
What else do u want me to talk, I can only talk about what he did while in PL,I can't lie that he won trophies he did not.

What were Iwobi's legacies in PL vs Okocha as u were so fast to brought out Kanu's against Okocha.

If u talk some will use the clubs they play now in top leagues to rate them ahead of this great team, someone like Andrew will even call them frauds.
Yet just one midfielder will hold our midfield so tight against any opposition, but now both Ndidi and Iwobi will be struggling allowing team like Zimbabwe overrun them.
Don’t mind dem…me I don’t mind any player from any league o…in as much as Dey add “value” to d team .enough of “club status” dt can’t perform
Against small teams defeating us back to back, over running our midfield..it doesn’t make any sense

Scored against Championship Cardiff what an achievement after better players did the main work against Man U where Kanu (no surprises) was MIA.

Led the line when Arsenal will be finishing second double digits points behind Man U before Wenger borrow sense give am seat belt for bench.

Okocha went to Bolton turned relegation candidates to top 10 performers.

Kanu went to West Brom left them relegated grin

Went to Pompey left them relegated grin

APOTY for winning underage tournament and scoring hatrick against Chelsea abeg abeg.

andrewbaba44:
Kanu scored at the fa cup finals with his goals helping Pompey to win the fa cup ,Pompey is a small club just as Bolton but kanu helped them to win the fa cup ,why can’t your okocha do that for Bolton

Didn’t your okocha took part at the Carling cup finals and lost grin

Kanu didn’t hide under any umbrella of performance to win any trophy for Pompey

Why are you running to the super eagles ,my arguement was never about their eagles performance ,but if you go low we go lower .

Where is your okocha apoty award ? Kanu won it twice

Where is your okocha motm in any cup finals grin

11th for winning under age tournament? Please bring something more tangible.

andrewbaba44:
Hope you know there was a time kanu finished 11th at the ballon d or ? That’s bigger than every okocha achievements grin

Kanu went to porthsmouth and made them win a trophy after so many years ,that’s what they call inpact ,no be to carry team escape relegation

We don’t do that here

Jumping on other people's hard work and effort.

Ok show wetin he contribute to earn that winner's medal.

Osimhen show working with Napoli for Serie A.

Lookman show working with Atalanta for Europa.

Show Kanu personal contribution not all this attach to glory medals you keep mentioning.

Jumping on what hardwork ?

Na even kanu hard work win okocha the Olympic wey him win

Football is a team work

I am sure other peoples hard work won kanu his both apoty while your okocha could only win the Europa league of the award which is as bbc apoty then 😁

Charagher might not be a top class CB but using him as an example for this is totally wrong ,he started more than 70 percent of Liverpool games during his time there and contributed to the trophies Liverpool won

Back to business ,your okocha won only 2 club trophies with all the hype he received ,Zero apoty

Even Obafemi Martins carried Birmingham city to a Carling cup win ,while your okocha trophy is escaping Bolton from relegation

Warra achievement for your African maradona 😁

Too many unnecessary infantile comparisons here lately.

Where did Uche play yesterday, and where does he fit in our system?
Not really, it's revealing lots of unnecessary hype grin which is good to straighten up history. For example, it's in this thread that we finally reveal that Samuel Eto achieved much more than George Weah, despite George Weah winning the Ballon d'Or and Eto, who didn't so this comparison argument is good once in a while grin

You and who dey reveal unnecessary hype,u and Andrew?
Andrew is filled with bias against Okocha and past Nigeria's great players.

Okocha did not achieve much in club football because of his choices of clubs, but there is nothing hype about Okocha,if anything, he was not much appreciated.

I think Andrew is entitled to his opinions and reservations just like any of us. Check even my earlier posts I was the one who even mentioned okocha as the highest afcon scorer for the eagles after Yekini so I don’t even understand what you are attacking me for sef on top okocha matter 😂 after I and Andrew had argued on the matter already so chill.

I'm not sure you watched Okocha played, maybe you just watched his highlights later on or just the latter years of his career at Hull city.
During Okocha playing days, mostly from 1998 - 2004, he was the heart of everything SE and Botton Wanderers. I can vividly remember how we used to give up before commencements of matches both for botton and the SE if Okocha wasn't playing.
He was the heart and soul of the SE in 2000, 2002 and 2004 ACN and at Botton, they were so unknown and he solely brought Botton to limelight, that they are still experiencing till today.
During Okocha days at Botton, Bolton playing the big teams were seen as big matches , not even Kanu commanded such prestige for all the club's he played for in the EPL.
Lastly, Botton Wanderers still have fans and sympathisers in Nigeria till today because of Okocha. When it comes to the EPL, no Nigeria player till date has made better impact .
He think if was rated among the top 100 greats ever in the EPL.
Oga I totally disagree with you on this, same Kanu that made Arsenal a household name in Nigeria. Abi same Kanu that made Nigerians started watching and supporting Portsmouth that they even came to Nigeria to play preseason. Portsmouth during Papilo time became a top-half club and even won the fa Cup, thanks to Nigeria finest, kanu. King Kanu as he was popularly called at Portsmouth. Oga make ena calm down with this Kanu slander.

During Okocha and all the other names playing days, whenever they were playing for the SE, Okocha was always the main man and the heart of the team, not Kanu. Infact there was never a time when Kanu was rated ahead of Okocha in the SE.
Let's take our mind back to Atlanta 96, players like Okocha, Omokachi, Oliseh were rated ahead of Kanu in the team and it was those 2 goals that Kanu scored that brought him to limelight in the SE, not that he was the best.
Okocha legacy in football far outweigh other Nigerian players that have played in the EPL till date
guy you dey cap oh

Firstly Premier league legacy was the point of this argument .

Kanu and mikel played for big clubs on their prime ,okocha was only the main man at Bolton and fenerbache that’s all ,put him on that arsenal team that has Henry Bergkamp and co he won’t even be the 5th main man ,let me not even go to the Chelsea team mikel played for

If they arrange the best African Epl XI he will never be found on the starting 11 ,so please spare me all these crap .

Mikel is now a fringe player because you want to defend okocha 😁
like the way guys dy misrepresent fact just to defend their favourite. Westbrom the least club Kanu played for is the only club I can rate same level with Bolton

Afcon 2000 final,Cameroon were ahead with two goals, Raphael Chuckwu reduced the deficit and JayJay do the needful, either free kick or long range shot I can't really recollect but JayJay was the saving grace.
Semi final, and Frerkick Sir,

Carlos Kenemi was rooted like a stature looking for the ball, and he finally catch the ball that had entered,

The shot power was too Strong then

He was a mix between myself, Denis Bergkamp and Ronnie (Ronaldinho).

That was 2004 AFCON, quarter final.

Beautiful free kick from Okocha
Wonderful pass from Kanu
Brilliant finish from Utaka "the attacker "

Man played for money
And where he would be respected
He didn’t want to be anyones assss licker
He should’ve played for a big club to win trophies; although back then Nigerian players I believe played to escape poverty not necessarily to win a lot of trophies like modern era Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo etc
I believe the mentality wasn’t the same back then compared to these days were stats and trophies are the order of the day
I may be wrong though

That was his greatest undoing. Made wrong choices in term of club to play for.
