Activists from the Niger Delta Environmental Justice Coalition took to the streets of London to demand justice for Ikerete Udo, one of the coordinators of Tantita Security Services Ltd., who was brutally murdered by individuals believed to be involved in oil bunkering.

In a petition submitted to the Nigerian High Commission in the UK, spokesperson Mrs. Busayo Charles expressed profound outrage and sorrow over Udo's violent death, which she attributed to the rampant oil theft and sabotage in the region. She called for immediate action from the Nigerian government to bring those responsible to justice.

"Udo was killed in the line of duty while protecting Nigeria’s oil pipelines," Mrs. Charles stated during the petition submission to the Nigerian Ambassador. She urged the embassy to pressure the Nigerian government to investigate the murder and provide compensation to Udo's bereaved family. "Nigeria is a just and fair country, and I believe that justice will be done," she added.

The petition emphasized the need for accountability, stating, "We call on the ambassador to impress upon the Nigerian government the importance of investigating this heinous act and prosecuting those responsible. It is vital to deter future violence against those safeguarding Nigeria's vital oil assets."

Furthermore, the coalition demanded that several individuals be held accountable for their alleged roles in inciting unrest in the Niger Delta and for their malicious media attacks against High Chief Government Tompolo, Chairman/CEO of Tantita Security Services Ltd., and Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

The individuals named include:

1. Kingsley Kuku: Former Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme
2. Bibopre Ajube (General Shoot at Sight): Notorious ex-agitator
3. Ebikabowei Victor-Ben (Gen. Boyloaf): Prominent ex-agitator in the region

The coalition urged the Nigerian High Commission to collaborate with Nigerian authorities to investigate these figures for their potential involvement in ongoing unrest and criminal activities in the Niger Delta.

In their petition, the coalition commended Tantita Security Services for compensating Udo's family, while also calling on the Nigerian federal government to provide additional support. "He lost his life courageously protecting the nation's oil pipeline from thieves. The least the government can do is offer financial support to the family he has left behind," the petition stated.

"It is important that those inciting violence and criminality are held accountable, both in Nigeria and on the international stage," Mrs. Charles concluded.

The embassy acknowledged the group's peaceful demonstration and assured them that their petition would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities in Nigeria.

Nigeria is not worth dieing for.
Do not make that silly mistake to die for Nigeria, is hell 🔥🥵 fire by DHL express.
There is no oil tanker vessel that takes stolen crude oil out of Nigeria outbar waters without the knowledge of the Navy, Army, Marine police and other Security Agencies.
The size of a vessel is not the size of a match box or GSM phone that one can put in his pocket.
Our Security are fully involve in oil theft.
Rest in Peace to the Brave officer.

Wisdom of niger delta instead of calling for disintegration of the country,i saw someone called nigeria a fair and just country whether it’s fairytales or what, from indications this group is proudly being sponsored by politicians.

I feel the government should employ about 100,000 youths at like 150k a month to guard the pipelines and oil infrastructure. If they have something to do, they would stop the oil theft and illegal refineries.

If this increases crude oil production by even 200,000 bbls per day, that's about $6m a day in extra revenue. That's 9billion Naira. The scheme would cost about N20bn a month. That means that in 2 days, the government has recoved its cost. It is very cost effective.

I don't understand the meaning of the protest, according to them,he died in the line of duty and he is working for tantita security company, so i think their grievance should be channeled to tantita and if there's any compensation to be paid, it's the company's responsibility, if they have any clue as to who murdered him then they petition the police with their evidence.

You are 100% correct sir,let government be deceiving themselves that they are guarding and guiding the oil.from the day oil was discovered in Oloibiri in Bayelsa, the government has been stealing it on a steady basis. Somebody said what about the people that Tantita have killed, what about the oil he is stealing presently. For those protesting the death of one man,50 persons lost their life gruesomely in Bokos of plateau state, you guys protest for the insecurity in this country, not this useless family protest, after collecting thing in your pocket.
