It has been intellectually proven that when you argue with a fool he will defeat you flawlessly, this is attributable to his/her experience in the art of foolishness. In retrospect, Abuja neither belongs to the hausas, the fulanis, the hausa-fulanis or whatever name they've coined out for themselves. The native inhabitants and original owners of Abuja, located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), belonged to the following ethnic groups: Gbagyi, Bassa, Koro, Gade, Egbira, Ganagana, Amwamwa, Gbari, and Gwandara.

Federal Government already purchased all lands in Abuja and compensated the Gwaris(original owners) fully with both lands and money. All lands in Abuja belongs to the FG and they allocate it accordingly. Before Tinubu’s presidency, most of the lands were indiscriminately allocated to the Hausa’s and more to the Fulanis who later sold most to Southerners. Now southerners own majority of lands and properties in Abuja(55%/45%). No tribe as it stands can lay claim to Abuja ownership. It’s now a territory that should unify the Country. Where anyone in the country should feel comfortable and safe to stay. Tinubu/Wike really changed a lot of things to restore the lopsidedness and make it align with the vision and intent of the founding fathers.

Abuja was built it by early settlers-Gbaygi/gwari people. Fulanis are mostly foreigners they have no place in Nigeria. That’s why they shed blood to take territories by force.

"Second, Abuja like Lagos is built with money from the national treasury"
Which Lagos are you referring to....Lagos (former federal capital) or Lagos state which includes Ikeja, Badagry,Ikorodu and Epe from the old Western region?
Re: Calling Abuja 'No Man's Land' Is An Insult To Hausa/Fulani - Sarki by KingRex1(m): 3:51am On Apr 08, 2025
festacman:
First, the indigenous people of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria, are primarily from nine ethnic groups (in no particular order): Gbagyi, Amwamwa, Bassa, Egbira, Gade, Ganagana, , Gbari, Gwandara, and Koro. These are neither Hausas nor Fulanis.

Second, Abuja like Lagos is built with money from the national treasury. If anything, it was the beauty of Abuja that drove the Niger Delta (ND) youths who attended 1 million-man march for Gen Abacha into armed struggle militancy as a way of protesting the use of ND oil money to develop Abuja while ND remain undeveloped. So,the resources that were used to develop Abuja didn't come from Hausa or Fulani.

Third, though a thorough-bred Hausaman from Katsina State, Sarki is a known Hausas/Fulani bigot on Twitter who accuses other bigots of being bigger bigots to cover his own bigotry. He writes well, no doubt, but he is a fat head.

Fourth, Abuja as FCT belongs to every Nigerian with green passport. Sarki should go and hug transformer.
You deserve accolades

The Fulani in Nigeria migrated from the Senegambia region.
Oga everyone migrated from somewhere...

Fulanis are indigenous to west Africa and Nigeria... And that is a fact

Igbo man will never rule Nigeria,is over 50 years already and will continue until Nigeria disintegrate.
Even vice they will never allow you smell it.

There's no gain but pain in maintaining one Nigeria of injustice.

tundegan:
Sarki is right.

Abuja is the heart of the North and the North is the heart of Nigeria.
North is not Hausa/Fulani, though Hausa/Fulani is part of North. Gwari people, who own Abuja, are not Hausa/Fulani, Tiv people are not Hausa/Fulani, Jukuns are not, Nupes are not etc. I hope you get that Mr Tundegan.
Re: Calling Abuja 'No Man's Land' Is An Insult To Hausa/Fulani - Sarki by Truthcat: 9:33am On Apr 08, 2025
You lied! Lagos was built before oil was discovered, it was Lagos that built entire Nigeria including your hometown. The capital was brought to Lagos because it was developed and all the money from Lagos that was used to build about half a dozen former capitals couldn’t turn those places around, so they had to move close to money and to an already developed Lagos. You all came because Lagos was made, you added nothing to it, you ruined it. All of you know that Yoruba don’t share in oil money though we contribute to it, and we take less than 10% of what we put it. This is why people who claim to have oil are not pushing for Nigeria to split, they know that we are not all spending from oil, and it won’t improve their situation. Yoruba don’t take from oil money.

I agree with everything aside the fourth point .it doesn't belong to everyone ,it belongs to the bolded

But when you sell your birthright( like typical Yorubas in Lagos state that spent their money listening to Ebenezer obey and sunny Ade when others where investing in real estate),don't get angry if your land is developed by others and thus become open to others
You claim to be from SouthSouth, yet to exude so much Yoruba hate...Sits

Next time, learn to make researches before you make claims online. Google the top 10 biggest real estate firms in Lagos, together with their properties and owners

And una go school o.

I am not tribalistic.every tribe has culture.yorubas like owambe.i know how many people called me aradite when I was saving money to Japa.

You will see an Igbo man with millions in his account driving a bicycle and sleeping in his shop.if he has a shop that is thriving,he will build another one instead of building a house and after work every day he will spread his mattress and sleep in his shop .

Yorubas will borrow money to buy aso ebi. All the people running helter skelter to repay loan sharks and the ones on my contact that loan sharks has sent me a message disgracing them are yorubas.

There is a Yoruba proverb that "an Igbo man will eat stone and refuse to buy water".

The Igbos that first moved to Lagos were hustling all through building shops and the rest everywhere
Re: Calling Abuja 'No Man's Land' Is An Insult To Hausa/Fulani - Sarki by proeast(m): 10:55am On Apr 08, 2025
Lol, go to Abuja, majority of the people that live in estates are Igbos and other Southerners. Igbos own the highest number of houses in Abuja while Hausas and Fulanis live mostly in the slums with only a small percentage of those working with government live in good houses.

Few years ago, we saw when the Gwari indigenous owners were chasing the Fulanis away from their communities for causing nuisance.

Even in terms of population, there are more Southerners in Abuja than Northerners because the city is already priced beyond their reach. A population with 90% poverty rates can't afford to pay rent in millions. That's why Abuja election result always follows the direction of SS and SE, not NW and NE.

The fact that Wike is the de facto governor of Abuja already shows its no man's land status.

Federal government owns Abuja
The history has it that the real owners have been adequately compensated

So , now Abuja belong to nobody,
No kings
