Nwabali is better than Okoye in the national team. I agree and I love that he's our number one, but the way una dey talk about Okoye anyhow dey surprise me. Okoye is a better all round goalkeeper than Nwabali, reflexes, ball distribution, shot-stopping, he's good. His problem in the national team is that he doesn't talk, he go just dey look defenders dey do anyhow without calling them to order like Nwabali does and when your defence is penetrated, one of two things will happen, either you concede or you save.

Okoye at Udinese is on a crazy level, even in his last game against Genoa, he was the Man of the Match with mad double saves and other saves.

I still love Nwabali as our number one and it should stay like that till Okoye learns how to coordinate his defenders, no senior man for national team, make he no dey fear.
Okoye will surely be the first choice at Chippa United. Whether Nwabali can be the first choice at Udinese is debatable, but at AFCON, he did very well

Iwobi is on course to hit double digit goals this season.... His best season in his premier league career and he is doing it in his preferred position..

This idea of using him in a 2 man midfield is why he is constantly underperformed and been used a a scapegoat, sort of by disgruntled fans....
Chelle need to stop it... If at all he wants to use a 2 man midfield, let Iwobi start on the flank...that way, he can easily drop to midfield at will and provide extra bodies.....
We that we are not coaches, we see these things. Are these coaches blind ni?

You don't have enough very mobile players to do all the dirty work that will make Iwobi play the way you desire him to for the Eagles. If you change his position seven times, nothing will change. It's high time we live with that.

Was the same Onyeka not in Afcon? Apart from him who else Dey? how many players una get to do all the running for Iwobi, which of them is ready to suspend their own kind of passing game for Iwobi? Mikel too struggled for long until victor Moses came may be because they both played in Chelsea I don’t know, I don’t think Iwobi may ever get the kind of partnership that some of us think he needs to make more impact. Miracles do happen though!

Okoye had all the advantages than Nwabali, reason why Rohr left Nwabali and co in NPFL and brought regional keeper to eagles.

I followed Okoye career keenly and in Udinese right from the moment he seized it against Cagliary in Copa cup and never looked back.

Good that we have Nwabali and Okoye

Nwabali is my pick

Yes not his fault, but if GK can't save his team in critical moments. What is he saving?? Or was that not why Okoye got replaced?

Remember Zimbabwe had JUST 2 shot on targets. Just 2 o, One hits the crossbar and the other scored. Please say another thing.
Good you said not his fault....

Same here. Nwabali is still my pick, but if Okoye clicks in the national team he'll be better.

Oga I swear you don't follow Nwabali at all. Do you know how many Man of the Match performances this guy has been putting up for his club?

You think goals conceded is what is used to judge a good goalkeeper? Pickford plays for Everton but is England's number one. Do you know how many saves Nwabali make per game? Do you know that he is the 3rd highest rated player and the highest rated goalkeeper in the league? Do you know that he has the 3rd highest cleansheet in league playing for Chippa United ahead of league leading Ronwen Williams who plays for Mamelodi Sundowns?

If you want to bring statistics, bring the right statistics, the stats you're bringing makes you sound like you started watching football yesterday or someone told you something and you just wanted to say it too to sound like an analyst.

NWABALI MAKES 3.8 SAVES PER MATCH AND IS THE BEST GOALKEEPER IN THAT LEAGUE WHILE PLAYING FOR A SMALL CLUB IN THE LEAGUE! If there's no Nwabali, Chippa United are definitely relegating in that league!

Because you don't like him does not mean you should be using amateurish statistics to judge him!

Eric Chelle must give Arthur Okonkwo of Wrexham a chance in the unity cup to prove his mettle.

He is young and impressive in goal.

Wow super eagles should open the doors to championship players ?
Especially when Iheanacho was dropped
I doubt Akinsanmiro even makes the cut
Is Arthur okonkwo really that good ?
Coach has just two games to experiment with before picking his team

Have seen some his games this season with Wrexham. The championship is better than the Nigerian and South African league by miles. Arthur Okonkwo is a top goalkeeper with amazing qualities. Arthur Okonkwo has 15 clean sheets this season.
Akinsanmiro Ebenezer is good enough for the SE at the moment even though he plays in seria B. He is developing rapidly and he will better our squad.
I am of the opinion that a player who is good enough and can add depth to our squad be given a chance in respective of where they play.

Eric Chelle has 2 games in the unity cup and a friendly game with Russia in June to perfect his tactics.

Nwabali, Okoye and Okonkwo should battle it out for 1st choice.

Play two holding midfielders - Ndidi, Onyeka, Onyedika, Uche - and deploy Iwobi as the tip of the triangle so he sits in the hole behind the 3 attackers. Na woto woto dem go collect

There’s no metrics to judge if Championship is better than Belgian league or South African league
This is no fact plus the pressure in African tournaments is just different
Please remember that South Africa took out a decent Moroccan side with some stars in Europe in the last AFCON tournament
I’d have preferred Noah Atubolu, but I guess he’s waiting for Germany call up
Who will Akinsanmiro replace lol ?
Ndidi ?
Onyeka ?
Bashiru/Aribo ?
Iwobi ?
These are the 4 midfielders that usually make the list
I don’t see NFF slot inviting Alhassan anymore because of Zimbabwe draw
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by yinkeys(m):
Eagles that play different roles for club & country tend to have problems
Or eagles whose position got changed while their career progressed tend to have problems in the national team

1. Iwobi started as a winger at Arsenal but plays as a creative midfielder for Nigeria
2. Iheanacho was a creative midfielder in his u17 days but played as a striker for man city
3. Boniface was a midfielder coming up but is a striker today

Going to be hard to get Iwobi to do what he does at Fulham if he’s played as a CAM
We have too many wingers already
We have no CAM - Aribo & Bashiru are the only alternatives and they don’t play that role very well

Akinsanmiro Ebenezer profile is different from the rest.
He may not break into the first 11 now
But he will within 1-2 years.
