Take it, it's a good rate given the current ongoing market condition.
Nakedman:
Got 19.09% from Stanbic today. 365days. Sighs

There's no 365 days.

I guess it's for the next primary.auction as the highest you'll have on secondary market is 363

In all, 19% and above is a fair deal.

I got 18% for 363 days at first bank.

Hi guys, I invested in the money market yesterday, and there's no updates on the platform yet, only shows my initial capital. does the accrued interest also apply on weekends or just working days?

If the deposit was made before noon, don't worry the accrued interests from yesterday to 31st March will be paid to your bank account or reinvested depending on your choice during registration.

Note that any balance in your MMF account earns interest everyday including weekends and public holidays.

Why does fintech give more interest than traditional bank

Fintech interest are always high but I am scare of investing with them

How safe is fintech in term of treasury bill
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by USA2019:
There you have your answer. The rule is: The higher the risk, the higher the return. Your capital may be at risk with the fintechs, so they need to attract you with higher rates. By the way, that won't be on treasury bills but on their on in-house managed funds (mutual fund, cash deposits, etc.)--they cannot offer TBills rates above the CBN primary market offerings.

I have also noticed the high interest rate by these fintech apps. I invested with Piggyvest, but noticed they're not regulated by sec as they claim. I checked the SEC website and couldnt find them https://sec.gov.ng/cmos/

Here is their response when I asked them about it a few days ago.

The funds in your PiggyVest account are warehoused and managed by PV Capital Limited - RC No. 1760152 (“PV Capital”).

PV Capital is a duly registered Fund/Portfolio Manager with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria (SEC) and all its operations are in compliance with applicable regulations.

Fintechs carries more risks than the traditional commercial banks. Fintechs are under microfinance banks. So their interest have to be high to attract investors because of the risk involved.

That said, they have all it takes to fulfill their obligations if they so desire because unlike the conventional commercial or microfinance bank, Fintechs can work effectively with limited staff strength thereby saving huge from personnel and management cost.

Most of them also have loan outlet/section that give out quick loans with higher interest than even the conventional banks. Some of them charge as high as 7-10 % on monthly loans. Person go just collect like 50k early in the month to pay back 55k by month end. That's 10% right there and it might not even be upto a month. If you annualised it, you will have like 120%.

They have lots of customers that they cater for online but do not have lots branch building being paid for. That's another angle they save money.

So they should be a to take care of that loan without issues.

It all boils down to return on capital employed (Rice) and return on capital invested (roic).
Factoring Nigeria devaluation and inflation, a 40% and above return on investment per year will always best inflation and devaluation.
A 50m investment in mmf at 20% per year will give 10m,
30m in stocks at 30-40% per year will give 9-12m,
A 20m investment in personal biz using my farm as a case study with 100% return gives 20m profit.
Total invested capital for the year is 100m to return 40m.
Profit percentage for the year is 40m/100m x 100% = 40%.
You will be safe if your return is in this band .

So far,no single issue encountered, all smooth! I get my interest upfront!

30days interest is 19.5%
6months is my 25%
1year is 26%
2years is 28%

For now, they got the highest interest rate so far.

It's usually sold every two weeks except in few instances where CBN chooses otherwise.

Watch out for this dates April 2, 2025 , April 16, 2025 , April 30, 2025.

Except you intends investing ₦50-million and above which qualifies you buying directly from CBN auctions (through banks) at higher rates, You could just buy from banks or brokers; which is often sold every Tuesday and Thursdays.
